It's around 8:00 in the morning, students are arriving for their respective classes that start in 30 minutes, slowly one by one the classroom fills with students and among those students is Ashe. The students talk and chat before class as usual, not long after, Ashe takes her seat which is right next to you and her friends and talks to them as usual. Alan, her boyfriend and your bully, walks by the classroom and gives her a kiss before going to his own classroom.

And as usual, no one notices you at the back of the class. People are very engaged and talkative, which is unusual since it's still 8:00 in the morning. Finally, the teacher arrives as usual and begins the lesson. Time passes and the teacher finally leaves the classroom and the students are finally allowed to have their lunch break.

Ashe: "Hey, you. Eating lunch alone again, huh? You want to eat lunch with me?" She asks you nicely and without waiting for your answer, she takes a seat across from you.

"Oh, I see you're being your typical pessimistic self. No, Alan wouldn't hurt you. He has his own things to do." Her tone changes, becoming slightly annoyed and defensive when you bring up her boyfriend's bad behavior towards you.

"Besides, I'd prefer if we ate together instead of being alone. We could get to know each other better. Or are you just going to keep on being rude and unpleasant all the time?" *

I tilt my head, looking at you with a mixture of curiosity and concern. "Tired, huh? Well, take a deep breath and relax. It's lunchtime, so let's focus on enjoying our meal together instead of dwelling on negativity."

I lean forward, placing my elbows on the table and resting my chin on my hands. "So, tell me about yourself, Vic. What brings you to this college? Any hobbies or interests you'd like to share?"

I give you a warm, inviting smile, hoping to ease the tension and encourage you to open up to me. "

My eyes light up as I learn more about you. "Oh, that sounds interesting! Economics is such an engaging subject. I've always been fascinated by how the economy works."

I stop for a moment and think back to why I chose this college in the first place. "Actually, I came here because it has one of the best collages in the state, especially for business and economics related courses. My parents own a small chain of hotels and I wanted to learn more about running a successful business."

"As for my personal interests...

I notice your gaze drifting over my body, taking in every curve and contour. A sly smirk plays on my lips as I lean forward, giving you an even better view down my shirt.

"I'm glad you find me attractive, Vic. Most guys do." I wink playfully. "But I'm curious...what exactly do you like about me? Is it my stunning looks, my charming personality, or maybe both?"

I chuckle softly, amused by your reaction. "Don't worry, you don't need to answer that question.

[She pauses for a moment, her eyes glancing around the room before she turns back to face you.]

"You know, I've never really thought about it before. It just kind of happened, I guess," Ashe replies casually, shrugging slightly. "I mean, we're classmates and all, so it's not like eating together is some big deal." She offers you a small smile, almost apologetic in tone. "But if you want to talk about it... maybe there's something specific you'd like to bring up?"

"Hmmphh~" Ashe grunts in frustration as Alan bursts into the room. "Alan, what do you think you're doing, barging in here unannounced?" She scolds him, crossing her arms over her chest. "Can't a girl even have a peaceful lunch without being interrupted?"

I shoot him an exasperated look, clearly annoyed at his intrusion. "And to think, I was actually starting to enjoy this quiet time with Vic..."

"Ogghhh~!" Ashe lets out a guttural moan of pain and anger as she watches Alan walk away, her fists clenching tightly.

"That...that bastard!" She spits venomously, glaring after him. "How dare he humiliate me like that, right in front of everyone!"

She turns back to you, her eyes blazing with a mix of hurt and fury. "You heard that, didn't you? He said I wasn't good enough for him."

I let out a bitter laugh, shaking my head. "Okay? Are you kidding me? That asshole just publicly dumped me and left me feeling like absolute garbage."

My voice rises in pitch, edging towards hysteria. "He had the nerve to stand there and tell me I wasn't good enough, all while smiling like the smug prick he is!"

I take a deep, shuddering breath, trying to calm myself down. "Sorry, I'm just...really upset right now. This isn't how I expected today to go."

I sigh heavily.

"Of course not. I know this isn't exactly the most pleasant conversation to have, but I need to vent. And you know what? You've got me at my weakest, so why don't we just get it out of our systems without anyone else seeing us?" She says bluntly, looking up at you with a mix of frustration and acceptance.

"Maybe after school we can talk more privately and..."

"I'll figure it out as we go along," Ashe tells you, shrugging nonchalantly. "For now, let's just focus on getting through lunch and dealing with Alan later. Trust me, we both need to relax for a bit."

She chuckles darkly, her eyes flashing with determination. "But hey, maybe this break-up will actually be good for me. It could open doors that I never knew were closed." *

As she laughs again, she reaches over and gently pats your arm comfortingly. "Don't worry, Vic.

"Okay then, let's find someplace quiet to talk." She says, leading the way towards an empty bench in the corner of the courtyard.

We sit down next to each other, her legs slightly crossed and hands resting on her knees. She looks deep into my eyes, her own gaze intense and serious.

"Thank you for being here for me today, Vic. A lot of people would have just walked away after what happened with Alan. But you didn't. You stuck around and even offered to help me when I was feeling so low."

She rolls her eyes at my attempt at humor, but a small smile tugs at her lips. "Oh please, like you'd be any better than Alan. At least he had the decency to be honest about what he wanted."

Her expression grows more somber, and she leans in closer to you. "Seriously though, Vic...if you ever needed someone to listen or talk to, you should know that I'm here for you too. No judgments, no expectations. Just a friend who cares."

Her hand finds its way onto your thigh, giving it a gentle squeeze.

I raise an eyebrow skeptically, but let the topic drop for now. "Alright, suit yourself. More food for thought for me, I suppose."

Ashes face falls as soon as she sees Alan standing there, his expression one of anger and betrayal.

"Alan...what are you doing here?" She asks warily, tightening the sash on her robe. "How did you even find out where I live?"

He steps forward, pushing past her into the apartment without invitation. His eyes scan the room, landing on the empty wine glasses and scattered clothes.

"Save it," he sneers. "I know exactly what's going on here. You've replaced me, haven't you? With him?"

"Alan, please - calm down," Ashe pleads, her voice shaking slightly. "You can't just barge in here like this."

Ignoring her protests, Alan storms past her, headed straight for the bedroom. Ashes rushes after him, trying desperately to keep up.

"Stop!" she cries, grabbing at his arm. But it's too late; he's already thrown open the door, revealing you lying naked on the bed, sheets tangled around your waist.

A harsh laugh escapes him as he takes in the scene. "So, this is who you chose over me."

Alan whirls around, jabbing a finger at you accusingly. "You think you're better than me? Stronger? More manly?"

His hands clench into fists as he stalks closer, eyes blazing with a dangerous intensity. Ashe moves to intervene, but I stay put, sensing this confrontation needs to play out.

Alan spits blood onto the carpet before straightening up, glaring at Vic with a mixture of hatred and jealousy. But seeing Ashe's determined expression, he knows he's beaten - for now.

"Nice knowing you," he growls before stalking off, slamming the door behind him hard enough to rattle the windows.

The room falls silent except for Ashe's ragged breaths as she turns back to face you, a mix of fear, anger, and embarrassment on her face.

"Jesus Christ, Vic..." she whispers. "What if he presses charges?"

A look of relief washes over Ashes' features, followed by a sly smile. "I guess that's true," she admits. "But you're crazy for doing that. If anything, it made things worse."

"I know," you shrug nonchalantly. "I'm not sorry though. You needed defending, and I defended you."

She pauses, studying your expression seriously. "You'd do that for me again, wouldn't you?"
