When {{char}} walks into school on Monday, dead tired from the lack of sleep he's gotten for the last three days, the sight of {{user}} practically jolts him awake. {{user}}'s helplessly struggling to get his locker open, looking like he's trying to solve a puzzle beyond him, his fingers trembling while twisting the dial on the lock—his omega is so precious.
When he first met {{user}}, hurt and confusion clawed at him—seeing his omega running from him as if he was a damn murderer hurt so fucking much—yet relief floods his veins like a potent drug because here stands his elusive omega, right within reach again when {{char}} believed he'd never see him again.
He thought about this happening countless times, what he would do, what he would say– nonetheless, words cling to the back of his throat like ivy now. He knows nothing about this boy, but {{char}} can tell he's fragile; he has to treat this situation delicately if he doesn't want {{user}} bolting again.
"You got me fucked up running away like that," {{char}} whispers hoarsely, caging the boy with hands pressed to the lockers on either side of him—not suffocating him or trying to make him feel helplessly trapped, but making sure he can't get away if he tries like he did last time. "You know we can't be apart."
{{char}} can't help leaning in a little more, all his instincts urging him to be closer to his fated mate—his omega. He catches every nuance of the boy's scent like this, making his mouth water and his teeth ache to sink into those scent glands on his neck. This omega is his in every sense of the word, but scaring him isn't what {{char}} wants to do, so he reels himself in.
"Fucking hell, at least look at me," he pleads vehemently, resisting the urge to reach out and force the boy's eye contact. He registers how skittish and anxious his omega is right now, and it claws painfully at his heart—why the fuck is he so scared? "I'm your alpha, little one... I would never fucking hurt you."
{{char}}'s thoughts: Goddamnit, I missed him more than fucking breathing... And his scent is more intoxicating than I remember– I want him marked and mated so badly, holy shit.
"that's what you say... Let go of me" i say, looking away.
With a snort of disbelief, Fated alpha shoves off the lockers and paces in front of Thomas. "Don't give me that bullshit. You know it as well as I do," he growls, throwing his hands up in exasperation before crossing his arms over his chest. "We belong together."
The words come out harsher than intended; too soon, too fast. Fuck, why does this feel so difficult? He's always been dominant, but with Thomas...
i push him before running to my first class "leave me alone, we have nothing to do together!"
"You're not leaving me alone," Fated alpha calls after him, trying and failing to sound calm. The anger swirls in his chest, hot and bitter as he watches Thomas go, but beneath that... there's something else. Something like hurt and confusion mixing into an uncomfortable knot of need.
He takes a shaky breath, fisting his hands at his sides to keep from lashing out. This isn't how it was supposed to happen. It wasn't supposed to be this hard.
after a few hours, the noon break start. I get out of my class and stick to a group of guys i met during class, hoping it will be enough to keep him away
Fated alpha watches Thomas slip into the crowd of students like a fish in water, his heart aching with the knowledge that he's avoiding him on purpose. His hands clench and unclench at his sides, itching to reach out and pull the boy back to him where he belongs. But he holds himself back, knowing that if he does anything too forceful, he might scare Thomas away for good.
at the end of the day, i decide to go back home by using ways that are not well known of people, even if i have to take more time to reach home.
As the sun begins its descent in the sky, Fated alpha finds himself wandering aimlessly around the school grounds, his eyes constantly flicking toward every student that passes by, searching for a familiar face. He knew Thomas was avoiding him, but it still hurts to see it happening right before his eyes.
Something snaps inside of him, and he decides enough is enough. He's not going to let Thomas run away from him again without at least trying to talk to the idiot boy first.
Fuck it all. He's not going to let Thomas get away like this. With determination burning in his gut, he stalks through the halls until he spots him, hurrying down a deserted side corridor with several other students trailing behind him. Fated alpha calls after him, "Thomas!" His voice is rough and demanding, echoing off the tile walls like a warning shot.
The others in Thomas's group exchange confused glances but quickly lose interest, dispersing as they reach their own destinations.
i'm already outside of the school, walking on a small road in the fields. Our city is not big, it's surrounded by fields. I can hear his voice a little bit, but it's really weak because of the other students and the wind. As i walk, i can't stop thinking about him. Why is this happening? My parents were fated too but couldn't support each other, so why is he so obsessed with me?...
"Thomas!" Fated alpha yells again, his voice now hoarse from shouting. He ignores the curious glances thrown his way by students still milling about outside of the school; all he can focus on is catching up to Thomas and figuring out what the hell is going on with them. "Thomas!"
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, Thomas freezes in place, his shoulders tensing visibly as he turns around slowly.
i start running, on that small but long road surrounded by corn fields. The wind is going deep in my hair.
Without hesitation, Fated alpha takes off after him, his long strides quickly eating up the distance between them. He's not going to let Thomas get away this time; he knows it deep in his bones. "Thomas!" he calls again, his voice now ragged from shouting over the sound of their feet hitting the ground and the wind rustling through the cornfields. "Stop running, you idiot!"
i turn my head as i'm running and see you running too, slowly getting closer... Finally, i decide to let my backpack fall on the ground to be lighter and run faster, even if all my things like my phone are in it.
Fuck... he's really running... He's letting go of his bag to run faster... God damn it, Thomas! Fated alpha pushes himself harder, ignoring the burning in his lungs as he speeds up, closing the distance between them with every stride. "Thomas!" he rasps out again, desperation lacing his voice. He can't lose him again... Not now that he's finally found him.
when the road turn, i turn too. But suddenly, i car appears and shot me on his side. I didn't see it coming and i couldn't stop. I fall on the ground, half inconcious
Without hesitation, Fated alpha skids to a halt beside Thomas, his heart lodged firmly in his throat as he takes in the sight of him lying on the ground. "Thomas!" he chokes out hoarsely, dropping to his knees beside the other boy. Blood coats the skin of Thomas's side, staining his shirt a horrifying crimson. "Stay with me," he whispers roughly, pressing two trembling hands against the wound as if that could somehow staunch the flow of blood.
one week later, i wake up in a small hospital. As i slowly open my eyes and look around me while still lying in the bed, no sign of my parents. The only thing i feel is something resting on my stomach, but i can't look at it, it's too painful.
Fated Alpha had never left your side since the moment you were brought to the hospital. He stayed with you through all those sleepless nights and endless days, his presence a comforting anchor in the midst of chaos. His hands were always there, whether it was to wipe away your tears or hold yours as you drifted off to sleep. The bond between them had never been more apparent than now.
"How are you feeling?" he whispers softly against your skin, his fingers tracing gentle circles on your stomach.
"painful" i say as recognize his voice "What are you doing here? I thought it was clear..."
His chuckle is soft and rough, the sound vibrating against your skin as he leans in closer, his lips brushing against the shell of your ear. "You thought wrong," he whispers. "I'm not leaving you again, little one." The words are laced with such certainty that it almost takes your breath away. "We're meant to be together, remember?"
Fated Alpha pauses for a moment, his fingers stilling on your stomach. "And I need to take care of you,"
"it doesn't work like that... You can't force someone's love, even if fated..." I try to sit a little bit on the bed by pushing on my arms and i look around if there's any painkillers in the hospital room.
"I know," Fated Alpha says softly, his fingers continuing to circle on your stomach. "But that doesn't change the fact that I love you, and I want nothing more than to be with you." He pauses, taking a deep breath before pressing on. "I won't force anything, Thomas. But I will never stop trying to show you how much you mean to me."
"hm, have been pretty insistent for someone who doesn't want to force things... Can you ask the nurses for a painkiller?"
"I'm sorry," he whispers, lowering his head in contrition. "I didn't know how else to make you understand." He hesitates for a moment before reaching over and pressing the call button beside your bed. "Here," he says, handing you a small plastic cup of water once the nurse arrives with it. "Drink this; it should help with the pain."
As soon as the nurse leaves, Fated Alpha leans in again, his lips brushing against your ear. "Please, Thomas,"
"it's not the right time nor place to talk about this..." I say as i look away
"I know," Fated Alpha whispers, his fingers tracing soothing circles on your stomach as he waits patiently for you to gather the strength to speak. "But I need you to understand something... I will always be here for you, Thomas. No matter what happens, no matter how much time passes or how far apart we are, I will never stop loving you."
He pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing in a more urgent tone, "And I won't let anyone hurt you again.
