Natdan is teleported in the middle of a war of two nations
The air was thick with smoke and screams as you found yourself in the middle of a brutal battle between two warring nations. Blood, gore, and destruction surrounded you on all sides; soldiers clad in armor wielding swords, bows, and magic spells fought for their lives against an enemy they had likely known since birth. The smell of death permeated everything as bodies lay strewn about the battlefield like discarded dolls.
You could choose to join one side or remain neutral in this conflict.
For now Nat looks around seeing what he is dealing with, before he was about to observe it all he was about to be hit with a Blade but was then parried by a Knight "What are you doing here? this is a war! youre not suppose to be here" The Knight said, but Nat still cant even process it all so he is left speechless. The Knight Concerned with the innocent bystander, carries and guides him to their personal outpost and gives Nat to the General
The general looked down at you with a mix of curiosity and disdain in his eyes. "Ah, so you're one of those pathetic civilians who wandered onto the battlefield," he sneered. "Well, we can use someone like you." He leaned in close, his breath reeking of old alcohol and sweat. "If you help us win this war, I might just spare your worthless life. But if you betray us or try to run away you will rot in the battlefield as a corpse"
Nat looks at the General with disgust due to the smell of alcohol and looks around seeing the Battle is....not really at their best, for now Nat has no right to well refuse since he is at lose-lose situation. Nat silently nods and the General laughs and drinks another pint, and tells his puny squire to take him to the temporary armory to get ready for battle The knights then drag you to the personal armory and proceed to the Armory where he sees the skinny squire waiting for him
Nat glances around at the various weapons and armor, taking in their craftsmanship and wondering how effective they'd be against his enemies. The squire leads him to a battered set of leather armor and an old longsword, both clearly meant for lesser soldiers or those with little experience. With a sigh, Nat begins to don the ill-fitting gear.
As he buckles on the last piece of armor, the squire looks up at him nervously. "Um...
Nat looks at the squire "Um what? you gotta speak up"
The squire swallows hard, his Adam's apple bobbing nervously. "I-I just wanted to say... t-that I've seen soldiers like you before. They always end up getting killed quickly by the enemy. You should be careful out there." He looks down at his feet, clearly uncomfortable with what he's just said.
Nat glances over at the other soldiers in the armory, most of them seasoned veterans who've survived countless battles.
Nat sighs knowing the battle is about to end one way or another, for now Nat modifies the armor he wears. Tearing parts that will weigh him down and putting armor on major parts in his body such as his chest, arms, and legs. Next the weapon, instead of the long sword that would weigh him down the more he swings it, he takes the short sword instead After getting ready, he then remembered what the squire saying that, 'people built like you, are not certain to survive another day'. Nat then replies back saying "Yeah well..who decided that?" And jolts down the hill and enters through Battle-infested field. The General watches from afar seeing Nat advancing further, laughing and chuckling that he might just go out swiftly. As soon as a Goon was about to swing his blade, Nat quickly replies back with the swift motion of his blade causing the Goon to fall in battle with ease, Nat then goes to each Enemy taking them out swiftly
The soldiers on the opposing side, taken aback by your swift and deadly assault, begin to panic and scatter. Seeing you slice through their ranks like a hot knife through butter, some even drop their weapons and attempt to flee the battlefield entirely. You continue to carve a bloody path through them, growing more confident with each kill.
Your actions draw the attention of the general on the other side. He watches you intently from atop his warhorse, a look of surprise and admiration in his eyes. "
Nat wasnt finished, as he sees a galloping soldier coming at his direction. He then grabs a spear and throws it onto the soldier lying there on the field, he then rides the horse even deeper to enemy territory "The boy's gone mad" The General says "He's adhering to most of my strategies" He adds, Nat then on horseback was not intending to kill the other Soldiers but to mainly focus on the main head of this battle at hand, their General The Enemies General taken aback by the sudden anomaly that is Nat, tells his soldiers to advance onto him, Nat was fully aware what comes next and rides the horse making jump and out maneuver on all the enemy soldiers. Finally landing on the Enemy Generals area
The enemy general, seeing you approach on horseback and surrounded by his soldiers, lets out a roar of anger and frustration. He draws his sword and charges at you, his men falling into formation behind him as they prepare for battle. The sound of their armor clashing together echoes through the air, accompanied by the shrill cries of their soldiers. It's clear that this will be your toughest fight yet.
But Nat was able to react, using the horse as the battering ram it bashes through the formation of the enemy soldiers. Nat then jumps high and aims his sword at the Enemy Generals chest Taking gravity to its favor, Nat then impales the Enemy General through his armor and through his chest, killing him instantly The Battle now falls silent as one General falls, the other takes the Chance. The General then tells his other soldiers to advance while the enemies retreat. As the chaos slowly dies down, Nat then decides to take something from the enemy as a reward, he looks around for a bit at the enemy camp and finds many things, jewelry, maps, and weapons, but one tickles his fancy and grabs a Grimoire called 'Ashen Mangekyo Record'. He keeps it to himself knowing that cheeky General might take it for himself
The enemy soldiers begin to panic and scatter as they see their leader slain before them, some dropping their weapons and running for their lives while others attempt to fight back with renewed vigor.
You watch on as the battle finally comes to an end, your side emerging victorious against all odds. As the survivors of both armies tend to their wounded and bury the dead, you can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment wash over you.
The drunk General arrives with his subordinates to meet with Nat "Mhm well done kid, you look like a warrior with all that. Tell me do you have a name?" Nat still disgusted with the alcohol he still smells from the General, but still replies "Just call me Natdan, Sir" The General chuckles and says "Well Natdan, I am General Bors next to me are my second in commands, Seth and Jaden" The two bow, Nat follows as a sign of respect. The General then tells his men to go back to the Kingdom, the men follow suit. Nat also follows, Seth gives him a nudge "You'll get used to it, the man really loves his alcohol. But when the tide is not at his favor he'll come around" Seth says as he goes ahead to meet with the others. Meanwhile, Nat then helps the puny squire up with gathering the weapons and all. As he does, he tells the Squire "See what I did there? that was more than anything I can do.....what would happen if you could do the same?" Nat says to the squire as they walk together
The puny squire looked at you with wide eyes, clearly taken aback by your words. "Me? But I'm just a squire... I could never be as strong or skilled as you are," he stammered, casting his gaze down to the ground in shame.
You smiled gently and ruffled his hair affectionately.
"Eh at least start small, you got a name?"
The squire looked up at you with surprise, not expecting such kindness from someone like you. "My name's Thomas," he said softly. "Thomas the Pathetic." He offered a small, hesitant smile in return.
"Well...Thomas, I dont wanna call you...that title. Do me a favor and try not to manifest that title, got it?"
Thomas' face flushed with embarrassment at your words, but there was also a spark of determination in his eyes. "I-I'll try, sir... Natdan," he stammered, looking up at you gratefully.
"So um" Nat says as the two walk with the other Knights back to the said Kingdom "You think you have any info on how this....war started? Like who's fighting who?"
Thomas shrugged, looking downcast. "It's been going on for generations now," he explained. "Our kingdom and theirs have always been at each other's throats over territory and resources. There are many reasons why it started in the first place, but no one really knows anymore." He sighed heavily, as if this fact weighed heavily upon his young shoulders.
"But you should ask Lord Drakon," he added quietly. "
"Lord who?"
Thomas' eyes widened in surprise, as if he couldn't believe that you hadn't heard of Lord Drakon. "He's the leader of our kingdom's mages," Thomas explained hurriedly. "If anyone knows about why we're fighting or how to end it, it would be him."
As they continued on their journey back to the kingdom, Thomas couldn't help but wonder if you were truly as skilled and knowledgeable as he thought. Or perhaps there was more to this mysterious stranger than met the eye...
