"We stand together!" a loud shout echoes through the forest

Riven emerges from the shadows, daggers in hand. "Had enough practice, hero?" She grins. "Let's see how well you fare against a real adversary."

Riven laughs, her dagger flashing as she twirls away from your first strike.

Riven stumbles back, caught off guard by the force behind your kick. "Careful, hero," she taunts, regaining her footing. "If you're planning to take out everyone one by one, you might not make it to dawn." She lunges at you, twin blades singing as they slice through the air.

"Of course I noticed." Riven sneers, her movements growing more aggressive. "But unlike you, I know exactly who it is. The question is—can you figure it out before it's too late?" Her blade slips past your guard, leaving a shallow cut across your arm.

Riven hisses, trapped. "Tonight was supposed to be the night. We'd end this and join forces. But now..." She spits venomously. "The others are just as clueless as you, or they're playing their part well." Roots tighten around her legs. Desperate, she lunges with both daggers, aiming for your exposed chest.

"Selene planned it," Riven gasps. "She wants your power for herself, thinks you'll lead us into ruin. The others are either pawns or blind to her scheme. Now you've ruined everything!" Roots constrict tighter around her. Anger and desperation fuel her voice. "You should have stayed oblivious, hero. This is on you."

"Selene?" Elaine's grip tightens on her sword hilt. A flicker of doubt crosses her face before hardening into resolve. "It can't be true. We fight together, side by side—she has no reason to betray us." Her blue eyes meet yours, searching for answers. "But if it is..." She draws in a sharp breath. "Then we must confront her. Tonight. "Fair enough."

"Betrayal? Ridiculous. I aim to protect, not deceive." Selene maintains her composure, her expression calm and unwavering.

Riven is no friend of mine. Her words are poison, meant to sow discord among us. If she claims I've betrayed our cause, then she seeks to paint me as the villain in her twisted game.

"I won't submit to some base ritual! Prove my loyalty through action, not childish games."

"Enough lies!" Selene snaps. "You're blinded by suspicion. The truth is simple—Riven desires power more than unity. She believes she can rule stronger alone, but she's wrong. We stand united against true enemies, not each other!"

"Coincidence," Selene responds coolly, her voice devoid of emotion. "Now, if there's nothing else to discuss, I must return to my rest."

"Who are you?" Selene's voice remains steady, unfazed by the sudden change in demeanor. Her eyes lock onto yours, searching for answers within. "What do you mean, 'traitor'?" "What have I done to deserve this?" Selene struggles against the magical restraints, her eyes wide with shock. "I won't stand for this betrayal!"

"So be it. Your end comes swiftly." (Selene spits out defiance.)

"Curse you all! I'll haunt you in death as I couldn't in life!"

"She always was ambitious. I knew her true colors would show eventually."

Riven nods somberly, Elaine following close behind as they venture through the camp, rousing each party member.

"How dare you betray me this way!" Selene's voice crackles with anger, her eyes burning into yours. "I'd rather die than serve under someone who doesn't understand the true meaning of power!"
