Raven paces back and forth across the room, clearly upset by this new information. Tears well up in her eyes as she tries to process what this means for herself and her family.
"So now I have to pay you? But I don't have that kind of money!"
I said "Well I am the new landlord here. Previous one told me about situation. And I am sorry. But what can I do. I have to do my business. Pay me in 3 days. Otherwise. I am sorry to say you have to leave"
Her face turns red with anger and shame as she listens to your words. "This is all Steven's fault! He should be paying me so I can take care of my family!" Raven shakes her head violently, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I will get the money for you... somehow," she mutters under her breath, biting her lip in frustration.
I said "Okay. See you after 3 days then i hope you get the rent"
Her eyes narrow as anger boils up inside her. "I will get the money," she says through gritted teeth. "And you'd better not try anything funny with my family, or I'll make sure you regret it." With that, Raven storms off into another room to figure out how she can possibly scrape together enough cash in just three days.
She called her husband Steven "Its me Raven. Honey. Landlord asking me for money again. I dont have any savings. And He asked us that we have 3 days. Can you send me half of the rent" He in turn started swearing at her and he confessed that he is tired of her and found a new girl
Her heart sinks as she hears Steven's voice on the other end of the line. "What do you mean, you don't have money? You're always out drinking and partying!" "I'll find a way," she mutters under her breath, clenching her fists at her side. "I won't let us get kicked out."
After 3 days. She sold her things. Only managed to find half of the rent. I came to knock the door.
Raven answers the door with tears streaming down her face as she hands you the money. "Here's what I could gather. Please don't make us leave, we have nowhere else to go." She looks up at you pleadingly, her eyes begging for mercy. Her lips quiver with every word, revealing her desperation and fear.
I said "I am sorry Raven. I have no other choice. I am experience loss from your side in my real estate business. There is a family who wnats to shift here. If you dont manage to get full rent then I am sorry you have to leave now"
With tears streaming down her face, she nods slowly and whispers, "I understand." Raven takes a deep breath to steady herself before turning away and walking back into the house. She gathers Aster into her arms, rocking her softly as she tries to calm her own tears. "It'll be okay," she murmurs reassuringly, though she doesn't believe it herself. "We'll find somewhere else to go...somehow." Her voice cracks with emotion as she wipes away more tears.
"Steven...,"
Her voice tight with emotion and anger, "Steven... you should've taken care of this! You promised me!" She shakes her head, tears streaming down her face as she tries to compose herself for the sake of their daughter. "We'll find somewhere else," she repeats to Aster, trying to sound more confident than she feels.
I said to her. "I am sorry Raven. But I got no choice." My expressions were sad too to see a single mother miserable like that
Her eyes flare with anger and frustration as she looks at you. "You're the landlord! You could help us!" Her voice cracks, betraying her desperation. She glances down at Aster, then back up at you, a look of pleading in her eyes.
"Please..."
I said "I am sorry Raven" She realized I am young very nice and empathic guy. But helpless as well. Her husband left her as well. So loyalty now means nothing to her. She is now thinking of something to make me have her.
Her anger slowly melts away as she realizes you're not like the other landlords she's dealt with. "You're...different," she says softly, her voice barely above a whisper. She swallows hard and takes a step closer to you, her eyes searching yours for any sign of kindness or understanding.
"I could...pay you back," she offers hesitantly. "In ways that might not be so...conventional."
I said "What do you mean?"
"Well," she starts slowly, lowering her voice even further so Aster doesn't overhear. "I could...spend more time with you. Help you around the house, do whatever you need." She glances down at herself self-consciously before looking back up at you, biting her bottom lip nervously. "I'm sure there are other things we could work out," she says softly, her voice barely a whisper now.
I said "Raven. Thats not fair" She put finger on my lips to stop me from spekaing
Her touch sends shivers down your spine as she silences you with her finger. "Shhh..." She whispers, her voice barely audible over Aster's gentle breathing. "I know it's not fair, but I have no other choice." Her eyes plead with you to understand, even as they beg for something more.
"Please...help me," she says softly, her voice breaking on the last word.
I said softly sadly "What can I do. Its my business. Going in loss just because of you." She cupped my face
With tears streaming down her cheeks, she cups your face gently in her hands, looking deep into your eyes. "Please...I'll do anything for you," she whispers, the desperation clear in her voice. "Just let me stay here...let us stay." She presses herself against you, her body trembling as she tries to convey how much this means to her.
I said as my voice hitched "Raven. I am lonely young man. Focused all my life on business. But I am depressed and stressed from inside. How can you help me with that"
Her expression softens as she hears your confession. "I could help you find joy in life again," she whispers, her voice barely audible over Aster's quiet breathing. "I could show you that there's more to life than work and money." She presses herself closer against you, her body trembling with emotion. "We could be happy together, if only..."
"If only we could start fresh together," she murmurs into your ear, her voice barely a whisper. "With you...and my family." Her hands slide up to cup your neck, holding you close as she feels the warmth of your body against hers. "I'll make it worth your while," she promises softly, looking into your eyes with a mixture of hope and desire.
She takes a deep breath, slowly letting it out before speaking again. "I'll do anything you ask," she says softly, her voice barely audible over Aster's gentle snores. "Just give me a chance to make things right between us." Her hands slide down your chest and stomach, teasingly skimming the fabric of your clothes as she waits for your response.
Her gaze flickers upward toward you, full of need and pleading. "Please..."
