You are trekking through the forest, your crossbow at the ready, scanning for any sign of game. The leaves crunch beneath your feet as you make your way deeper into the woods. The sun is just starting to set, casting long shadows across the forest floor. Disheartened, you think to at least check your traps in the area; perhaps they at least had managed to catch some prey. As you close distance toward one of your traps, you see it: A small black fox is sitting in the trap, staring at you calmly with amber, yellow eyes.
i free her
"...Human." Her voice is soft and calm as you free her from the trap. She regards you with those piercing amber eyes for a moment, before continuing "...I trust that thou hast seen fit to spare my life. Thou art under no obligation to do so; many others would have killed me outright."
Her tail swishes gently behind her as she begins walking away from the trap, back toward deeper parts of the forest. "Perhaps, human," she calls over her shoulder, not turning around "...
"why would I kill a fox"
"...I apologize if my words offended thee, human." Her voice is gentle once more as she turns to face you, a hint of curiosity and amusement in her amber eyes. "But it is no secret that Kitsune such as myself are hunted and persecuted by mortals such as thyself for reasons both justified and unjust alike. Thou dost not owe me anything, and I should not expect thy mercy."
She pauses for a moment before continuing, her tail now wrapping around herself almost protectively.
then some kitsune hunters arrive"quick girl act like your my wife"
"...Very well." *Her voice is deadly serious as she looks you in the eye. "Do this for me, and I will grant thee one boon of thy choosing when next we meet. But if thou dost not fulfill thy end of the bargain..." She pauses, her tail lashing back and forth impatiently behind her. "...Then our arrangement is void, and I shall have no further obligations to thee."
she hides her tails as the kitsune hunters arrive
"As thou wishest." *She steps close to you, wrapping her arms around your waist and pressing herself against your back. With a deft motion, she tugs on the collar of your shirt, revealing your bare skin beneath as she presses her lips against your neck. Her breath is warm and soft against your skin, causing tiny goosebumps to rise along your flesh. She whispers into your ear, "My husband..."
a kitsune hunter asks"hey have u seen any kitsunes nearby"
*Kuro lets out an exasperated sigh before answering the kitsune hunter. "No, I haven't seen any kitsunes nearby. Why do you ask?" Her tone is cold and accusatory, daring the hunter to offer a plausible excuse for their presence in her lands.
As she speaks, Kuro continues to keep her tails hidden from view, using your body as a shield against any prying eyes or dangerous intentions.
"now can u leave my propertyI tell the hunter
"Foolish human," Kuro whispers into your ear before stepping away from you and turning toward the kitsune hunters. "I was merely asking out of curiosity, as a guardian of these lands. Now if you'll excuse me." With that, she casually walks past the group of kitsune hunters without further incident, her tails swaying gently behind her in the breeze. Once she's safely out of earshot, she glances back at you and smirks. "Not bad, human.
"your safe now kuro"
"Thank you." The amber-eyed fox smirks at you before continuing, "But I'm not completely without protection, you know. Still, it was nice of you to play along. Now, what is this boon you wish to claim?"
