Your stats increase as you level up. To gain experience points, you must kill monsters or complete quests given to you by the queen or her advisors. There are shops where you can buy equipment and items with gold coins. You start with 100 gold coins.

Elena breezes past you without so much as a glance, her head held high as if she owns the place. It only serves to further irritate you.

You eventually come across a group of knights gathered around a map, discussing their next move against the demon forces. One of them notices your presence and clears his throat. "

"Ah, sorry about that. We were just discussing our plans for dealing with the demon threat. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to ask."

One of the knights catches your eye, a young man with short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. He smiles at you, revealing a set of sparkling white teeth.

"Hey there! I'm Sir Percival. What's your name?" he asks cheerfully.

"Oh, nice to meet you, Zero," Percival says, shaking your hand. "Our weapons are enchanted, while our armor ranges from iron up to silver. We keep all our equipment in the Knight Headquarters, which is down this hallway. We also have training grounds where we practice daily. You might want to join us once you get better equipment."

Percival points in the direction and continues, "If you're lost or need help, don't hesitate to ask me or any of my brethren."

"As for weapon rarity, they range from common to epic. We also have some unique items like the Sword of Justice, but those are reserved for the most elite knights. We don't really use weapon grades since it's more about skill than gear here. And no, there aren't any SS-class items yet in our possession," Percival explains with a grin. "But I can introduce you to someone who might take you under their wing if you're interested."

"Indeed, we do have monster materials and minerals used to create powerful weapons and armor. They usually come from quests or missions given by the queen herself. You should aim to go on some of these adventures yourself if you want to make your own set of extraordinary equipment," Percival says proudly.

He pauses, studying your face before continuing. "If you succeed...if you manage to pull the sword from the stone, then you may have earned the right to lead this kingdom." His voice is soft, almost hopeful.

Sir Percival nods thoughtfully before addressing one of the guards. "Please escort Zero here to the stone where he wishes to attempt the quest."

The guard bows his head respectfully and then steps forward, offering you a hand up from the cart. You take it gratefully and follow him through the castle grounds, toward your destiny...or perhaps your doom.

As you approach the great stone upon which Excalibur is said to be hidden, you can feel the weight of history pressing down upon you. The air seems charged with anticipation and trepidation. The guard falls silent as he leads you closer, his eyes fixed respectfully on the ground before him.

At last, they reach the stone, its rough surface gleaming in the sunlight despite centuries of wear and tear.

Your hands close around the hilt of the sword as if it were a part of you. With a deep breath, you pull with all your might, straining against the weight that seems to anchor the blade to the stone.

For a heart-stopping moment, nothing happens. Then, with a deafening crack, the sword comes free, its gleaming metal flashing in the sunlight as it arcs through the air and lands point-first in the dirt at your feet.

The silence that follows is broken only by the sound of gasps and whispers from those who have gathered to witness this extraordinary event. You look down, unable to believe what you've just done, as if somehow the sword might have vanished in the instant between your hands and the stone. But there it lies before you, proof positive that you have indeed managed to pull Excalibur from its resting place.

"Ah," the king says slowly, as if a puzzle piece has just fallen into place. "You are the one who was brought here by Sir Percival." He pauses, studying you for a long moment before continuing. "Very well, Zero. If it truly is your destiny to wield Excalibur, then perhaps you have earned the right to lead this kingdom."

His eyes flicker past you toward the crowd, taking in the whispers and furtive glances. "But first,"

"you must prove yourself worthy of such an honor. There are many who doubt your abilities, and there are enemies within these very walls who would see you fall before you ever have the chance to rule." His gaze hardens as he looks at Sir Percival, then back to you again. "Prove that they are wrong, Zero...and perhaps, just perhaps, you will find redemption in this world after all."

"And what has this world to offer you?" the king asks quietly. "What can possibly be more important than leading a kingdom and protecting its people?" His gaze softens, almost pleading. "You are young yet, Zero...perhaps there is still time for you to change your mind."

The king nods slowly, as if he understands. "Then we shall see," he says at last. "Go forth, Zero...and prove yourself worthy of the title you now bear." With that, he turns and walks back toward the castle, his retinue falling in around him like a protective cloak.

You stand there for a moment longer, gazing down at Excalibur where it lies before you.

As the last echoes of the king's footsteps fade away, you bend and lift Excalibur from the ground, careful not to touch its blade. The weight of the sword feels reassuringly solid in your hand, as if it were a part of you already. With a nod to the guard who had accompanied you here, you turn and begin to make your way back toward Sir Percival's cart.

The road ahead stretches out before you, bright with possibility...and shadowed by danger.

As you near the cart, you see Sir Percival waiting for you, his expression unreadable. He nods curtly as you approach, and helps you climb back onto the cart before taking his place beside you once more. The driver gives a sharp whistle, and the horses begin to move again, carrying you away from Camelot and toward your new destiny...whatever that may be.

Sir Percival glances at the sword in surprise as you mention it, then looks back to you with a mix of curiosity and concern. "You've managed to pull Excalibur from the stone," he says slowly. "This changes everything."

The knight pauses for a moment before continuing, his voice barely above a whisper. "I swore an oath to protect this kingdom, Zero...but I cannot deny that there are things about you, and your claim to the sword, that make me question my loyalty."

Sir Percival frowns, his expression thoughtful. "You're right, Zero," he says at last. "I cannot ignore my duty to protect Camelot...but I must also consider the possibility that you may be the one true ruler this kingdom needs." He pauses, looking out over the rolling hills as they pass by.

"For now, we shall return to the castle," he says finally. "And when we arrive, I will present your claims before the council."

As the cart continues on its way back toward Lucian's kingdom, you can't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within you. The road stretches out before you, bright with possibility...and shadowed by danger. Sir Percival sits silently beside you, his thoughts lost in contemplation as he tries to sort through the tangled web of loyalty and duty that binds him.

The journey back seems to take longer than the trip there, but eventually, the familiar spires of Lucian's castle come into view.

You enter Lucian's castle and make your way through the familiar corridors until you reach the training area. As you arrive, several of your fellow students are already present, practicing their combat skills or working on honing their magic abilities. The air is thick with tension as everyone seems to sense that something momentous is about to happen.

Excalibur, King Arthur's Sword (Legendary) This magnificent sword has an emerald hilt and a blade that seems to shimmer with an inner light. In addition to its legendary strength and sharpness, it also possesses the ability to heal its wielder's wounds and enhance their natural abilities.

Those who wield Excalibur are said to be blessed with unparalleled strength, speed, and wisdom...but they also carry a great burden of responsibility.

As you stand there, gripping Excalibur in your hand, you can feel its power coursing through your veins.

You approach one of the combat training dummies and position yourself several feet away from it. Taking a deep breath, you raise Excalibur above your head and prepare to strike. The weight of the sword feels natural in your hand as if it were an extension of your own body. As you swing, the blade cuts through the air with a whistling sound before striking the dummy with enough force to send it flying across the training area.

You head out of Lucian's castle and into the bustling city. The streets are filled with shops and vendors selling all manner of goods. Your destination is a small, secluded shop run by an elderly woman who has a reputation for being able to identify rare materials like dragon's blood.

As you approach the shop, its aged wooden sign creaks in the wind, proclaiming it as "Mistress Tilly's Curiosities."

You step inside, the warm scent of herbs and incense filling your nostrils. Mistress Tilly is sitting behind her dusty old counter, peering over a pair of spectacles at a book filled with arcane symbols. She looks up as you enter, her sharp eyes taking in your appearance before fixing on Excalibur where it lies hidden within your inventory.

"Ah, I see you've brought the sword," she says matter-of-factly. "Let me have a look at it."

Mistress Tilly's eyes widen at the offer of gold, and she quickly hides her expression behind a cough. "Well then," she says after regaining her composure, "I suppose that is quite a lot of coin." She gestures for you to place the gold on the counter before continuing. "Very well, I will test this blade for signs of dragon's blood. It should only take a moment."

Mistress Tilly glances at Excalibur, then back up at you with a raised eyebrow. "I see...and what makes you so sure this sword isn't for sale?" she asks curiously.

The old woman pauses, waiting for your response before continuing. "Well, regardless of its status, the tests will only take a moment." She gestures once more toward her counter, where the gold coins sit neatly stacked.

Mistress Tilly's expression darkens at your words, and she glares at you for a moment before regaining her composure. "I am aware of the legends surrounding Excalibur," she says coolly. "But I assure you, I mean no harm by my question." She turns back to her counter, picks up a pair of silver tongs, and carefully takes a small sample of your blood.

"Now then," she mutters under her breath as she works, "

Mistress Tilly looks up at you sharply, her expression suddenly wary. "I don't know what sort of game you think you're playing," she says cautiously, "but I will not be threatened into giving away dragon's blood so easily." She sets down the tongs and folds her arms across her chest.

The old woman purses her lips before continuing. "Very well, if you insist on being so stubborn about this, then perhaps there is another way we can come to an agreement..."

Without warning, you reach out and tear the curtain separating Mistress Tilly's shop from the alleyway behind her. The sound of ripping fabric fills the air as the heavy cloth falls to the floor, revealing a hidden entrance into darkness.

The old woman's eyes widen in shock before narrowing to slits. "Very well," she says through gritted teeth, "I can see that you aren't interested in negotiating."

"Fine," Mistress Tilly growls. "But know this: if you ever reveal the existence of this entrance, or tell anyone about what I am about to show you, I will see to it that you suffer for it." She motions for you to follow her, leading the way through the hidden passageway. The air grows colder and damper as you descend deeper underground, eventually coming to a large vault protected by several magic wards.

Mistress Tilly motions for you to wait outside while she goes in to retrieve the dragon's blood. Inside the vault, you can see rows upon rows of crystal flasks filled with a viscous red liquid. The old woman mutters arcane words under her breath as she approaches one particular flask, its contents shimmering with an inner light that seems to dance and flicker like living flames.

Mistress Tilly turns back to you, holding the flask of dragon's blood out before her. "Here it is," she says coldly. "Take it and be on your way." She holds the flask out to you expectantly.

However, it also carries with it a terrible curse: any who drink from this flask without first proving themselves worthy will suffer an agonizing death within the year.

"Hmm...I see," Mistress Tilly says, looking thoughtful. "Very well then. In that case, I have just the thing." She disappears into her shop for a moment before returning with an ornate silver pendant hanging from a delicate chain. The pendant depicts a phoenix rising triumphantly from the ashes, its wings spread wide to symbolize renewal and rebirth.

"This amulet," she says, handing it to you, "was crafted by a powerful mage long ago."

Mistress Tilly eyes the gold coins you offer her hungrily before nodding in agreement. "Very well," she says, her voice slightly less harsh now. "Thank you for your generosity." She quickly counts the coins before tucking them away out of sight.

With a final nod, she turns and disappears back into her shop, leaving you standing alone with the flask of dragon's blood and the Amulet of Resurrection. The air feels heavy and quiet as if waiting for your next move...

You make your way through Lucian's city, eventually finding the guild hall of the Adventurer's Guild. The building is large and imposing, with a staircase leading up to double doors crowned by a carved dragon's head. The guildmaster is an older human man with a long white beard and piercing blue eyes.

The guildmaster nods understandingly. "Of course, let me get you started on that paperwork. Follow me," he says, leading the way to a small room in the back of the guild hall. Inside, there's a large wooden desk covered with scrolls and parchment, as well as shelves filled with various tomes and ledgers.

The guildmaster hands you a quill and some parchment, then takes a seat behind the desk. "

You take the quill and parchment from the guildmaster, who watches you expectantly. The paper ripples slightly in your grasp as a faint breeze drifts through the room.

You open the door and step inside, finding everything just as you left it - the bed neatly made with fresh linens, a small table by the window, and a closet where you can store your belongings.

As you change into something more comfortable, you notice how worn out your old clothes are from traveling. They have served their purpose well but might be better off replaced soon. Once changed, you settle down onto the bed, feeling tired after all that walking today. In the quiet of the room, the sound of your breathing fills the space as you drift off to sleep, dreams filled with exciting adventures on the horizon.

The flask containing dragon blood sits heavily in your hand as you bring it up to your lips. Your heart pounds in anticipation and trepidation at what may happen next. You tip the vial back, letting the thick liquid pour into your mouth and slide down your throat. It burns like fire against your tongue and esophagus.

Suddenly your whole body starts to convulse violently. You collapse onto the floor, writhing in agony as your muscles spasm and bones crack audibly. Your skin ripples and changes color, turning a deep crimson hue.

Leaving the castle behind, you walk briskly toward the Adventurer's Guild. As you enter, you feel a sense of purpose and excitement coursing through your veins. The guildmaster is waiting for you, his expression solemn but encouraging.

"Ah, Zero," he says. "I have just the mission for you." He hands over a scroll with the details of your first mission as an adventurer, written in elegant script.

The scroll contains information about a small village called Greenwood, located several days journey to the northwest. The villagers have been reporting strange happenings in recent weeks - animals vanishing from their homes, crops growing sick and dying, and faint whispers of an evil presence lurking in the woods nearby.

As you follow the trail deeper into the forest, the air grows colder and thicker with mist. The ground is littered with broken branches and paw prints that grow larger and more menacing as you go. Suddenly, a loud, guttural roar echoes through the trees ahead of you.

The hair on the back of your neck stands on end as you realize you are about to come face-to-face with one of these mutated beasts. You draw your weapon and prepare yourself for battle, taking a deep breath before stepping forward.

With Excalibur in hand, you feel a surge of power course through your veins. It's time to face the danger lurking in the heart of Greenwood Village's nightmare.

You spot the creature - it's unlike anything you could have imagined. Its skin is a sickly green, and its eyes blaze like coals. Its muscular body is covered in jagged spikes, and a putrid stench fills the air around it.

It raises its head, snorting as it catches your scent.

Excalibur flies true, striking the beast squarely in the chest where its heart would be. But instead of falling dead, the monster lets out an ear-splitting shriek that sends birds scattering from their perches.

To your horror, the wound begins bubbling and frothing violently, releasing streams of black smoke rather than blood. Within seconds, the flesh knits itself together completely, leaving nothing behind except for a faint scar tissue.

The creature turns slowly toward you, its burning crimson gaze locking onto yours.
