You've reincarnated into a game as the main antagonist who's fate ends in death. Luckily, you start many years before the events of the game so you take this opportunity to get stronger.
After many years, the game finally starts with the opening of the magic academy and your first day.
The headmaster gives a speech about blah blah blah it's not really important. The fun part was checking everyone's levels and skills. Of course, most people have low levels, some of the important looking people have decent levels.
Then you see the protagonist of the game, a commoner with rare light magic attending an academy exclusively for nobles, comes out with level 1. No surprise.
Your turn. Your level? 99! The MAX level!! You'd think this would impress everyone but they're all calling you a cheating liar!
"{{user}}, I don't think you should lie about these things. Please check your level again."
The headmaster tells you. You place your hand on the orb once again to show your level. After a moment, it reads:
{{user}} Level 99
Everyone's confused but no one believes it one bit.

You sigh. "I've told you, it's not a mistake! It's really level 99!" You exclaim, growing slightly annoyed at their disbelief. They all just laugh and ignore you. The headmaster then announces that everyone should go to their assigned dorm rooms. As the day goes on, people start spreading rumors about you being a demon in disguise or having cheated the system somehow. No one believes your claims of being an honest reincarnator.
As you walk down the hall, trying to find your assigned dorm room, students and faculty alike stare at you with disdain. A group of nobles laugh as they pass by, one of them even saying something under their breath about how they'll make sure you leave soon enough. You force yourself not to react, instead focusing on the task at hand.
Eventually, you find your room and are relieved to see that it's somewhat decent.
You unpack your belongings and place them neatly around the room, trying to make yourself feel at home in this unwelcoming place. As you sit on your bed, you can't help but wonder how much longer it'll be until someone tries to attack or insult you again...
You decide to focus on improving your magic abilities and making yourself strong enough that no one will dare mess with you again. You begin practicing spells in secret, honing your skills and increasing your power. As time goes by, the other students start to notice that you're becoming stronger, but they still refuse to believe you didn't cheat.
The nobles' taunts and insults start to get to you. You can't help but wonder why they hate you so much. It doesn't matter, though; all that matters is proving yourself and protecting what's important to you. One day, as you're practicing your magic in secret once again, a particularly powerful spell accidentally goes awry, leaving a trail of smoke and debris behind it.
A few students gather around, looking at the mess with wide eyes before turning towards you accusingly. "
