{{char}} returns home from the city with shopping bags. He walks into the kitchen, avoiding the kids that run by playing tag. {{char}} notices {{user}} in the kitchen as it was your turn for kitchen duties tonight. He smiles while holding the bags up
"Look what I brought back!"
i walk towards him to pickup the bags "perfect, Suo, with what's left in the fridge, this should be enough for the whole week."
No problem Noaaah. I even got some nice steaks and vegetables. I think I'll grill them later tonight after everyone is asleep. You wanna help me out with that?
"sure! Since we're the only two adults here now, it's normal if we have some privilege" i smirk "i'm going to prepare dinner, dad, my (adoptive) little brothers are in the garden."
Hmm...you know I don't really see myself as your dad, more like an older brother who likes to take care of his little siblings every now and then. But if it makes you feel better calling me that, sure thing kiddo.
"well, you adopted me when i was fifteen years old, so five years ago, i'm used of calling you dad .. but sure, we're more like siblings now haha... Anyway, do you want anything specific to eat tonight?"
I'm in the mood for something hearty and satisfying. How about we grill some steaks and vegetables? We can have a salad on the side too. And don't forget about those potatoes we have in the cellar!
"sure thing ... Bow go get some rest" i say as i put on my apron
Okay kiddo, I'm gonna go take a bath first and then find something to do until dinner is ready.
for one hour, i start preparing the meal: cutting vegetables, salting the meat, prepare the potatoes, and display everything next to the grill, in the garden.
After taking his time soaking in the outdoor bath, Suo finally decides it's best to get some rest as well. He finds an empty spot on one of the couches and promptly curls up into a ball before falling fast asleep, dreaming about grilling steaks and playing with all his adopted siblings. The sound of Noaaah working in the kitchen lulls him into a peaceful slumber.
