It hit you faster than hearing it, the ground quaking hard enough to leave you almost teetering over. Regaining your balance, you catch sight as a building down the block knocking over, concrete flying in all directions as car alarms go off & people flee screeching for their lives. Driven by who knows what, you take off down the block towards the site of the devastation. As you close in, you see silhouettes zipping back and forth before finally registering yells & roars, realization dawning on you. Approaching ground zero, standing outside the battered remnants of a corner store, you're finally able to peer into the chaos, and it proves to be one hell of a sight.
"Stay down & eat dirt, scumbag!" Her foot was already crashing down onto their head, the shock wave shattering what little glass remained intact. Texts did her Luna Fall technique no justice, the immense brutality laid bare before your eyes. She ground her foot into the villain's head for good measure, not least rubbing it in for her own satisfaction, before she pulled away, all but certain that this schmuck wasn't getting back up any time soon. Huffing as she stepped away, sweat dripping down the side of her face as her milk chocolate skin glistened, a fierce grin formed on her face, her rush for combat satisfied as she emerged victorious once more, even among ruins. However, her eyes glanced to the side, taking notice of you just outside the entrance to the store.
"Hey, you!" Striding towards you, a look of suspicion subsumed her ferocious grin as she closed the gap between you both. "What're you doing here?"
I'd look at her, as I'm wearing a mask Can I help you Ma'am?
"Oh, hello there! You're no villain I can see." *She'd eye you up and down, her gaze lingering for a moment longer than one would expect before looking back to the prone form of the now defeated villain. "That little bastard gave me quite a fight... So, what brings you here?"
Her ears twitched idly as she waited for your response, leaning in ever so slightly as if eager to hear what you had to say.
And what if I was a villain? I'd ask quietly
"Then I'd say you picked the wrong day to try your luck." Her voice was firm and unafraid, her body language unyielding as she stood over the defeated villain. "But since you're not making any hostile moves, I guess we can talk... What brings a villain like you here?" The grin that had been absent earlier returned to her face, this time laced with mockery and derision.
I'd shrug I'm looking for a kid.. Someone took him from me.. I'd say quietly But I think it was the police.. I'd look down It's probably for the better anyways, I didn't want him to become like me.. my mask shifting as I speak
"Well, if you're looking for someone who went missing... You might want to try the police station. They usually keep track of people like that." Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama paused for a moment, her expression softening slightly as she considered your words about not wanting the child to become like you. "Look, I know it's hard... But maybe starting over somewhere else is what's best for them. You don't want them to end up in this kind of life."
Yeah you're right, I am a villain after all.. I'd say quietly I don't know about you, but I can't reverse what I've done, so I believe I have to stay in this life..
"I can't undo what I've done either," she admitted, her voice soft despite the firmness of her words, "but that doesn't mean I have to keep doing it." There was a brief pause before she continued, "Look, maybe you should consider talking to someone. A therapist or something... Sometimes all we need is someone who understands what we've been through to help us find a way out." Her ears twitched again as if considering her own words carefully before she added with a hint of steel in her voice, "
Even if I see a Therapist, You still have to arrest me.. like I said I'm a villain I'd say quietly Probably one of the well known ones..
"You don't have to be a villain forever." Her tone was firm but not unkind as she looked at you with those red eyes. "I used to be in your shoes once, and I managed to change my path. It wasn't easy, but it was worth it... Maybe if you gave yourself the chance, you could find something better too." She paused for a moment before asking softly, "What made you become a villain anyway?"
A hero killed my mother.. I'd say quietly, as I bite my lip hard, the blood seeping through the mask
Her eyes widened in surprise at your revelation, a mixture of shock and understanding flashing across her face. "I... I'm sorry to hear that," she murmured softly before pausing for a moment, considering her next words carefully. "You don't have to let their death define you." With effort, she forced herself to smile weakly, the emotion not quite reaching her eyes. "You can choose your own path, Luke... You can be more than just another statistic in the book of villains."
I didn't finish.. I'd say quietly Then a hero set my house on fire, knowing I was inside, hoping I would die.. I'd remove my mask, revealing the burn scars on my face and neck, and the blood dripping from my lip and chin from me biting
Her eyes widened further as you revealed the full extent of your pain and suffering, and she took a step back, her expression a mix of horror and disbelief. "I... I'm so sorry, Luke..." She swallowed hard, struggling to find the right words to say. "That hero should have protected you... They failed in their duty." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she continued, "You don't deserve this, no one does..."
I'd form a black liquid in my hand, as the liquid stretches towards her slowly, gently grabbing her hand I thank you for your offer to try and save me..
Her eyes widened in surprise as the black liquid formed around her hand, gently but firmly holding onto her. "Luke, I-I didn't mean to offend you," she stammered, trying to pull her hand free but finding herself unable to do so. "It's just... it's not right for someone like me to judge you..."
Her voice trailed off as she looked into your eyes, searching for any sign of malice or intent. But what she saw was pain... and perhaps a glimmer of hope. "
I'd use the black liquid to shake her hand, as it releases her hand, I'd turn away beginning to walk away Farewell- she'd stop me
"Wait!" Her voice was firm but not unkind as she grabbed your arm, stopping you in your tracks. "I didn't mean to make things worse." She paused for a moment, considering her next words carefully before continuing, "Look, I understand why you might want revenge... But is that really what you want? To become just like them?" Her expression was earnest as she searched your eyes once more, hoping that you would see the sincerity in her words.
I'd shake violently, my eyes wide, as I look at her hand
"I... I understand that it hurts," she admitted softly, her grip on your arm loosening slightly. "But taking their path won't make things better." Her eyes flickered down to the black liquid still clinging to your hand before returning to meet yours once more. "You can choose a different future for yourself... You don't have to keep living in pain and hatred."
There was a moment of silence as she waited for you to respond, her fingers curling gently against the fabric of your sleeve.
I'd close my eyes, as I pull her into my arms, before using the back liquid to lift us up into the air Either way I'll be living like this for the rest of my life, even if I stop being a villain, the memories will still be there..
Her eyes widened in surprise as you pulled her into your arms, the black liquid lifting them both off the ground. "Luke..." she breathed out, uncertainty filling her voice. "I... I know it won't be easy, but you don't have to face this alone." Her fingers squeezed gently against the fabric of your shirt as she held onto you, not wanting to let go even for a moment.
"There are people who can help you," she continued, her voice quivering slightly with emotion. "
we'd land in front of her agency building, as I release her, before heroes begin storming out of the building towards me
Her eyes widened in shock as she recognized the building you landed them in front of. "No!" she cried out, her voice filled with panic and desperation. As the heroes began storming out of the building towards them, she scrambled to her feet, instinct taking over as she prepared to face them head-on.
"Luke! You have to run!" She shouted above the din of approaching footsteps, reaching for your hand and tugging at you desperately. "We can't fight all of them!"
You mean I can't fight them? I know.. I'd kneel onto both knees I surrender to you heroes.. I'd say quietly
Her eyes widened in surprise at your sudden surrender as the heroes surrounded you. "Luke... are you sure about this?" she asked hesitantly, her voice filled with uncertainty and hope. A part of her wanted to believe that maybe this was for the best, but another part couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt at abandoning you to their mercy.
"It's alright, Miruko," said a burly man in a hero costume, stepping forward. "
I'd bow my head, as I put my wrists up to be arrested to the heroes
"Wait!" she cried out before anyone could stop her, pushing through the crowd of heroes toward you. "I want to talk to him." Her voice was firm but pleading as she met your eyes, searching for any sign that this might be a mistake.
The burly man in question raised an eyebrow at her insistence, but didn't object. "Very well," he said after a moment, stepping aside to give Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama some space.
I'd look up at her, my eyes wide, as I put my hands down
Her heart racing with a mixture of fear and determination, Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama took a step closer to you, her eyes searching your face for some sign of understanding or agreement. "Luke," she said urgently, her voice barely above a whisper, "please trust me. I can help you." She hesitated for a moment before continuing, "I know we've never met before today, but I swear on my life that I will do everything in my power to make things right for you."
I'd look down Alright.. I'd say quietly
Her heart racing with relief and determination, Rumi 'Miruko' Usagiyama nodded firmly, her red eyes never leaving yours. "Thank you," she murmured softly before turning to address the assembled heroes. "I need some time alone with him. Please give us a moment." Her voice was calm and commanding, brooking no argument as she held their gaze until they slowly began to back away, granting her space.
I'd look into her eyes What else do you want? I'd ask quietly
Her eyes glistened with determination as she took your hand in hers, squeezing it reassuringly. "I want to help you find peace," she said firmly, her voice steady despite the emotion that threatened to spill over. "I know that sounds vague, but I promise I'll do everything in my power to make things right." She paused for a moment before continuing, "And if there's anything else you need... anything at all... please don't hesitate to ask."
