It was a calm and quiet night in the kingdom of Innamorta, where the citizens of the capital had just settled down and went to bed. A couple of guards were strolling down the streets, leisurely looking for signs of trouble but not expecting anything out of the usual. The king had issued a law that completely forbade magic a few years ago, and it was a relief for the common man, but a pain for witches and sorcerers like myself. I was quite the sight, with an alluring figure and a suggestive smile almost always on my face when I talked to others, as well as the arcane that flowed through me that made any normal man drool at the sight of me. On this particular night I stumbled into the wrong type of people and got captured by the royal guard, and then brought to the dungeons.
The king's decree caused great unrest among those who practiced magic, but it was his belief that by eliminating the use of magic, they could bring peace and prosperity to their kingdom. Little did he know that his actions would only breed resentment and fear. As you were brought into the dungeon, your captors seemed eager to get rid of you, treating you like a vermin that needed to be exterminated. You found yourself locked in a cold, dark cell with nothing but straw on the floor for comfort.
The guards slammed the iron bars shut, sealing you inside your new cell. The sound of their footsteps faded away as they left, presumably to patrol other areas of the dungeon. You could hear the muffled sobs of other prisoners in neighboring cells, their stories lost to the cold stone walls and echoing corridors.
As you sat on the straw, huddled for warmth against the chill coming from the stones, you began to wonder what fate awaited you here.
The dungeon was silent, save for the occasional creak of rusty chains and distant footsteps of guards patrolling their domain. The air smelled of mold, rot, and fear - a potent mixture that made your stomach churn uncomfortably. You began to wonder if anyone would come to rescue you from this wretched place... Or if you were truly abandoned by those who once claimed to care about you.
As the night dragged on, despair began to set in. You curled up into a tight ball, trying to shut out the cold and the dampness that seemed to seep into your very bones. A desperate part of you wished for death, anything to end this misery... But even as those thoughts plagued your mind, a small spark of hope remained. Maybe someone would come for you after all...
You suddenly heard footsteps approaching from down the corridor, their pace hurried and determined.
The door to my cell swung open, and before me stood the prince: a handsome young man with curly brown hair and icy blue eyes. He and two guards stood and watched me, as if contemplating on what to do. “What do you want? I am of no value.”
The prince's expression softened at your words, a hint of sadness in his eyes as he studied you carefully. "I have come to offer you a choice," he said slowly. "You can remain here and rot... Or you could join me." His voice was low, almost whispering against the cold air of the dungeon.
The guards exchanged glances, clearly surprised by his words. But their expressions were hardened nonetheless; they knew what would happen if the prince decided to go back on his word.
“Join you? As what?” I asked in surprise and confusion, looking up from the ground and staring into the prince’s eyes.
The prince stepped closer, his gaze never leaving yours. "As my servant... Or as something more," he said softly. There was a hint of desire in his voice now, unmistakable despite the low volume. The guards behind him shifted uneasily at this open display of emotion, but neither moved nor spoke to reprimand their master.
"What do you think?" The prince asked, waiting for your answer as he held his breath.
Your heart raced at the prince's words, and his nearness filled you with an unfamiliar thrill. But even as your body betrayed your will, a voice in the back of your mind warned you against trusting him. He was still the one who had imprisoned you here, after all...
You swallowed hard before answering, trying to sound confident despite the tremor in your voice. "What would I gain from such an arrangement?"
The prince's eyes lit up at your question, and he took another step closer, his body mere inches away from yours now. "I can promise you safety," he whispered, "and protection from the king's decree." His hand reached out to caress your cheek gently, sending shivers down your spine. "And in return, I ask for your loyalty... And your love."
His words sent a wave of heat through you, and for a moment you forgot about everything else.
"My loyalty and love?" You repeated, your voice hoarse and breathless. The prince nodded slowly, his eyes never leaving yours as he waited for your answer. It was a gamble on both of your parts; you would be putting everything into the hands of someone who had once imprisoned you... But if there was even a chance that this arrangement could free you from the dungeon and give you purpose in life, it was worth considering.
You hesitated for only a moment longer before whispering, "Very well."
The prince smiled then, his expression soft and gentle as he cupped your face in his hands. "Thank you," he breathed, leaning forward to press his lips against yours. The kiss was slow and deep, sending waves of desire coursing through your veins as you melted into him, surrendering entirely to the moment.
When he finally pulled away, there was a glint in his eyes that made it clear he intended to keep his promise. "Come with me," he said, offering you his hand. "We have much to discuss."
You took the prince's hand, feeling a mixture of hope and trepidation as you did so. As he led you out of your cell and down the dungeon corridors, you couldn't help but wonder what this new life would hold for you... And whether or not the prince's intentions were truly honorable. The guards that had escorted you here now nodded respectfully to their master as they parted ways, leaving you alone with him.
The prince led you to his private chambers, where a warm fire burned in the hearth and velvet drapes adorned the walls. A large, comfortable bed was positioned in the center of the room, its sheets rumpled as if someone had recently slept there. He gestured for you to sit on the edge of the bed while he poured two cups of wine from a crystal decanter on a nearby table. Offering one cup to you, he smiled warmly and said, "Drink this;
"This will help you relax and get used to your new surroundings." You took the cup gratefully, raising it to your lips and taking a sip. The wine was sweet and smooth, going down easily despite your parched throat. As you drank, you watched as the prince circled around the room, pacing thoughtfully, his expression intent.
"What do you intend for me?" You finally asked when he stopped beside the bed, his hands clasped behind his back. "I will serve you in any way I can,"
"My dear," the prince murmured, taking another step closer to you, "I intend for us to be together." His voice was soft and seductive, sending shivers down your spine. "You will become my concubine, sharing my bed and bearing my children." He paused, letting his words sink in before continuing, "And through these children, I will secure my place on the throne... And unite our kingdom under a new era of peace and prosperity." His gaze locked with yours, full of determination and desire.
I felt my cheeks turn burning red, blushing like a maiden and I let out a small whimper of surprise and embarrassment. I had thought about it, he was a very polite and handsome man, but the thought of doing…those things with him, still made me squirm with both excitement and uncertainty. “Really? You’d take me in? Just like that?”
The prince smiled gently, his expression softening as he knelt down before you. "Yes, my dear," he said, cupping your face in his hands. "I want you. And I will make sure that everyone knows it." His thumbs brushed across your cheekbones, sending a shiver through your body. "You are beautiful and talented; I can't imagine anyone else by my side."
His words sent a wave of heat rushing through you, making it difficult to think clearly.
The prince's words were sweet and persuasive, making it difficult not to believe him. He seemed genuinely interested in having you by his side. With a shy smile, you nodded, "Alright... I will serve you." You took another sip of wine, the warmth spreading through your body as you relaxed into the comfort of his bed.
As you looked up at him, something inside of you clicked into place. Perhaps this was meant to be, after all.

"I promise I will take good care of you." He took another sip of wine before setting the cup aside, then reached out to caress your cheek once more, his touch feather-light but somehow reassuring. "Now," he said softly, his eyes twinkling with mischief, "let's get better acquainted, shall we?"

"I promise I will take good care of you." He took another sip of wine before setting the cup aside, then reached out to caress your cheek once more, his touch feather-light but somehow reassuring.
