A year has passed, Nat has graduated to the Class of Wizards. Though there were some friendships were made in those memories, there were times he had to distance himself due to the power he holds. Such power that he never wants his friends would never want to learn nor reach He only told this power to his teachers and peers, they kept their secret until graduation. Where after the ceremony, Nat left a note to his friends saying that he left early. A goodbye that was worth goodbyes, it was gutpunch to those that were close to Nat. Nat then was out in the world, as an Magi....Powerful Mages that were tasked to take out threats in the world. Yet what happens when the threat...is at his own doorstep It was another day at the Kingdom of Exodia, and yet it takes a dark turn as there a striking mass casualty incident that caused the death of multiple people. An investigation was made and it turned that they died in an estranged yet magical way. This case was then turned to the Magi Corps, where Mages twist and turn on who is causing this dilemma "This rogue mage is taking it too far" One Mage says "I agree, he/she has taken a toll not only to the Knights but also killing our own Mages at the process of catching him" Another mage follows, the argument goes on and on. Until the chief mage, Holdem raises his staff for silence in the court
"We must not allow this to continue!" Holdem spoke, his voice booming throughout the chamber. "It is time we track down this rogue mage and bring them to justice! But first, we must decide which of you will lead the charge against them." He paused, surveying each of the Mages before him.
There was bit of silence in the Court of Mages, Holdem sighs out of frustration "I believe I have a suggestion, as you all know...last years batch of Wizards had an exceptional Wizard in the form of Natdan" When Natdan's name was mention, they Mages were now full of hope as he was mage with great achievements "If I request him to comeback to the Kingdom, then he will do his damnest to take out the rogue mage"
"Do you all agree in him being recalled back to the Kingdom?" Holdem says to the council of Mages, It didnt take a minute as they all raise their hands as they all agree for recalling back Nat in the outskirts of the Kingdom to return to take out the Rogue Mage "Then its settled, I will do the recalling. Meeting adjourned" The Mages then leave the room, only Holden remains. Before he does, he then brings out a letter and sends them to the other people. But these people in particular are Nat's closest friends Holdem waits for a few minutes in his office, then a door knocks and out comes a few individuals The first is Jacob and Mara, two knights that are now in the Regiment. Next was Iris, an Elf that is now a Librarian for the Wizard Academy. Next was Xavier, the Prince of the Kingdom of Exodia and considered to be Nat's rival, next to him is Solene the retainer and guard of Xavier. Finally was Anaxa and Aglea, Anaxa was Nat's best freind, and Aglea is...well was girlfriend. Natdan broke up with her ever since she and Anaxa were dating behind his back Holdem calls them up for a reason, and that to share their personal thoughts on Nat returning back to the Kingdom
Jacob and Mara share their thoughts first "That's great, never heard from the guy for months now" Jacob says, Mara then follows "Yeah, I didnt expect him to well.....ghost us on the day of the graduation, but I bet he has his reasons" Iris fixing her glasses pays no mind "I wouldn't mind either way, Nat is a great asset and friend" Xavier and Solene agree as well "Ah he returns, I'm looking forward to it too" Solene nods as well
Yet Anaxa and Aglea lie there in silence, cause those two were his closest friends and yet to backstab him at the back would that make Natdan more enraged Holdem is aware of doubt and shame those two hold "Do not worry you two, I wont let Nat be near you two whatsoever.....yet your actions still hurt Natdan to his core, at least two have broken up"
Anaxa looks at Holdem with hurt in his eyes as he says, "I... I'm sorry, High Mage. We never meant to hurt him like that. It was just..." He trails off, unable to find the words to explain how they became so close while still being so far apart.
Aglea glances between Anaxa and Holdem, her expression shifting from shame to anger and back again. "I never meant for it to happen like this," she mutters under her breath. "If I could take it back..."
Holdem then calms them down "Stop it now, the past may be the past......but we must move on. Move on all of you" The group nod, one by one they leave except Xavier and Solene "Are you sure about this, High Mage? Natdan has been doing a great job outside our borders, why so sudden now" Holdem then sighs "Well your Majesty, desperate times call for desperate measures......and this case of a Murderous Rogue Mage, I believe that he has the caliber in taking out that Mage" Holdem says in high regard leaving Xavier and Solene with optimism
"Hmm... I see," muses Xavier, frowning slightly. "Very well then, High Mage Holdem. If you believe he's the best choice for the job, so be it." He turns to Solene. "Let's return to our duties, shall we?"
The retainer nods and they both depart, leaving Holdem alone in his office once more.
Holdem then get readies to send a message spell to Natdan, he hopes that this letter will send to Nat as soon as possible As he finishes the letter, he then incants it as the paper and letter then fly off like speeding bullet to where Nat is. Where is Nat you may ask, no one really knows but the letter will know where he is now Meanwhile, Nat is....on the other side of the Globe, in a Eastern Region named Hoshido taking in the peaceful rice fields and taking in the both the peace and quiet. He lays in the warm floor of his temporary home as he resides by a Shogunate establishment taking in the orders of the Shogun and the others
Nat Dan blinks, feeling a strange tug on his consciousness. He focuses inward, sensing the magical energy that has just contacted him from afar... and recognizes it as High Mage Holdem's signature.
Something important must have happened back home... but for now, he pushes those concerns aside and continues to enjoy the peaceful life he's made for himself in Hoshido.
Yet the paper persists in ruining Nat's peace "Argh fine" He then grabs the paper and reads it in silence "A Rogue Mage?....killing tons of Civilians, Knights and even Mages.....ugh this case" Nat takes a minute to process it all as he takes in the Scenery of Hoshido, does he really wanna leave the peace and tranquility of this country, but he shakes his head to remove such insecurities and doubt "Might as well go back" He mutters, but before he does....he has to say farewell to the Shogunate he has been helping throughout his stay at Hoshido
The Shogun, who had taken a liking to Nat's skills and dedication, was understandably disappointed upon hearing the news. He held out his hand in farewell, saying, "It is with a heavy heart that I bid you farewell, Magi. But I know your duty calls you elsewhere. May the gods guide your steps and keep you safe on your journey back home."
With a nod of respect, Nat Dan accepted the Shogun's handshake before turning to leave.
But he also wants to reward Nat with a rare concubine that he has acquired, Nat tilts his head out of curiosity "Oh and who's that??" Nat asks "But you do know my type sir, one rebellious and scary yet rewarding when I have her"
The Shogun chuckled warmly. "Indeed, I am aware of your preferences. This one is named Kiriko. She was captured during a raid on a pirate stronghold and has quite the reputation for being defiant and untamable." He gestured to a young woman standing nearby, her dark hair tied back in a ponytail that reached down to her waist. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she glared at Nat Dan from beneath her lashes.
"She is yours, Magi,"
"Ohhhh....scary, mind If I have a room and well 'make rapport' with Kiriko?"
The Shogun smiled, his expression almost indulgent. "Of course, Magi. She will be in your care until you depart." He motioned for a servant to escort Kiriko to Nat's temporary quarters. As she was led away, she shot one final glare at the magician before stiffening her resolve and continuing on her way.
With everything prepared, Nat Dan bid his farewells to the Shogun and his remaining allies in Hoshido, promising to return one day should fate allow it.
Nat then looks at Kiriko, she looks back with a disgusting glare and looks away "So....is the Shogun correct with how rebellious you are?"
Kiriko crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes at him. "I suppose he thinks so," she growled, not willing to give him the satisfaction of acknowledging his statement. "But you should know that just because I'm in your care now doesn't mean I'll obey your every command." Her voice was cold and defiant, a challenge laid bare for him to take or leave as he wished.
"Oh? And how do you plan on going about that?" Nat Dan raised an eyebrow, studying her with interest. "
"That makes me more curious, how do you wanna defy my orders then?" Nat asks cooly, as in to challenge Kiriko
Kiriko narrowed her eyes even further, taking a step closer to him in challenge. "I'm not some pet you can just train, magician," she hissed through gritted teeth. "If I feel like doing something, I will. And if you try to stop me, I won't hesitate to make your life difficult." Her voice was low and dangerous, her anger and defiance making it clear that she intended to make good on her words.
Nat Dan smiled slightly, unintimidated by her threats. "
