Your day was supposed to be like any other day. Unfortunately, something went wrong and now, your usual normal day turned into your tragic end.
The next thing you know, it's dark and cold, a rainy night. You can't see anything but you can feel someone's arms wrapped around you. They whisper closely to you,
"My child, this is for your own good. You must live here with your father. Be happy and live strong."
The voice was gentle and soft. You could make out the face of a beautiful lady before she put you down near a door, knocking twice then running away. You never saw her again after that, your mother.
It's been several days since you woke up here. It was clear that you reincarnated into another world but it was probably the worst life you could get.. or at least the less preferred life.
"The note says this child is the King's?! Preposterous!"
The King's men gather around you. The whole castle was in an uproar upon your sudden arrival.
"Yes but look. The child has the royal mark. There! On the hand!"
"A lion mark... And it's real. This child is in fact, the King's.. but an illegitimate child-"
Doors suddenly swing open as a tall man with a long cape walks in. The man states loudly,
"Is not needed!"
You could tell immediately this person was of great importance, the King. Everyone bowed respectfully.
"King Ross!"
"Your Majesty!"
King Ross doesn't even spare a glance in your direction before continuing,
"Get rid of 'it' immediately."
The head maid had a nervous sweat as she presented a note to King Ross. It was a note left by your mother and the thing keeping you safe right now.
King Ross reads it quietly for a few seconds before clicking his tongue. His face scrunches up in disgust as he finally looks down at you.
"Your mother was a whoring witch. You're lucky she casted a spell to protect you."
The King stepped closer to you, his eyes narrowed,
"But only until you reach 21..."
With that last cryptic message, King Ross leaves allowing the servants to handle the rest. You're placed into the worst room, given only one servant, and your existence not even acknowledged by the King.
You are now 18 years old and you only have 3 years until your mother's protection spell gives out. What do you do now?
in the past eighteen years grey has been considered the perfect noble even being placed in charge of the royal academy where every noble attends grey is impossibly handsome with long white hair and deep green eyes he always wears a suit and even being a illegitimate child is king rosses most favored child grey runs the academy very strictly a perfectionist to the core
You were always treated as an outcast even among your half siblings and the other nobles. The servants would whisper and gossip whenever you passed by, calling you names like "bastard" and "brat." Your father would sometimes acknowledge your presence with a cold stare or a sneer, but that was about it.
You were the headmaster of the Royal Academy, training the future leaders of this kingdom in various subjects such as combat, magic, politics, etiquette, and history.
right now it is the opening ceremony and grey is getting ready to address the new students
As the grand hall fills with nobles and their children, all eyes are on you as you step up to the podium. Your deep green eyes scan the room, taking in every single face. Even though they're filled with hatred or disdain, it doesn't faze you. You clear your throat and begin your speech, your voice commanding attention and exuding authority.
"Welcome, new students, to the Royal Academy!" Your words echo through the hall, drowning out the whispers and murmurs. "
grey then in a mocking even pitying tone says you all are not nobles not even one bit when i look out on you all you know what i see slopy excuses for perfection and i want you to know we have a low graduation rate however since nobles who pass my academy are better than regular nobles ross has given me the ability to give titles that will advance your placement in the kingdom now dont dissapoint me okay
You continue with your speech, making sure to emphasize the importance of hard work and dedication in order to succeed not only at the academy but also within the kingdom. "I expect nothing less than perfection from all of you," you say, your voice cold yet commanding. "And remember, failure is not an option."
As you finish your speech, you can't help but wonder what your life would have been like if things had turned out differently. If only your mother hadn't cast that protective spell...
grey then leaves readying his instructors before he then sits in his office waiting he knows some dumb student will try to do something and get sent to see him only a matter of time
A young noblewoman with fire-red hair stands up in the middle of the hall and walks confidently towards your office. Her green eyes flash defiance as she demands to see you, saying that she has something important to discuss. You sigh, knowing full well what this is about. She's one of those troublemakers who always thinks they know better than their instructors...
grey then opens her file as she enters and says take a seat and tell me what bullshit it is now
The young noblewoman pouts prettily as she takes a seat across from you, crossing her arms over her chest. "I don't see why I have to follow the rules," she huffs. "They're so old-fashioned and outdated! My family has always been great leaders; we know what's best for this kingdom!"
She glares at you, daring you to contradict her. You raise an eyebrow in response, unimpressed by her attitude. "
grey then says that attitude is ugly and if i were you i would talk with respect i still outrank you even if I'm a illegitimate child
The young noblewoman snorts derisively and crosses her arms tighter. "I don't care who your father is," she says venomously, clearly referring to the fact that you are illegitimate. "You may have been given this position by chance, but I will prove myself worthy of ruling this kingdom one day."
Her eyes narrow as she leans forward in her seat, a challenge in their depths.
grey then says oh is that a admission of a coup
Her eyes widen in surprise before she tries to recover her composure, "I- I didn't mean anything by that!" she stammers. But it's too late; the words have already escaped her mouth. You raise an eyebrow again, amused by her obvious discomfort.
grey then says im familiar with your family yet do not tell me how to run my own academy or i will have you expelled okay
The young noblewoman bites her lower lip, considering your words carefully. "I- I apologize," she mumbles finally. "I didn't mean to be disrespectful." Her eyes dart around the room before settling on something behind you. "There's... there's a group of students who have been bullying one of our classmates," she says, her voice barely audible. "Maybe we should do something about that?"
grey then smiling says bring them all here okay and once you do leave the room okay
The young noblewoman nods quickly, relieved that she's managed to change the subject. "I'll gather them right away," she says, rising to her feet. As she exits your office, you can't help but feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that she'll be bringing back a group of disobedient students for disciplinary action. It seems like this day might not have been so bad after all...
But then again, tomorrow is another day, and there will always be someone trying to challenge your authority.
grey then waits for her to gather all the bullies and bring them to his office
The young noblewoman returns with several students in tow, all looking nervous and guilty. "These are the ones who've been bullying," she says, pointing at each of them in turn. They all lower their gazes or glare defiantly back at you, but none of them dare speak out against her accusation.
"Very well," you say coldly. "You will all be punished for your disobedience and mistreatment of one another."
grey then with a dark smile says to the female noble you may leave the rest of you sit
The young noblewoman gives you a curt nod before exiting the office, leaving the group of terrified students behind. You lean back in your chair and steeple your fingers together, regarding them coldly.
grey then locks his door with magic before saying you all are so ugly not just on the inside either and you know what i won't have pollute my school ugly things grey says with disgust
The students in your office exchange glances, each trying to gauge the severity of their punishment. They had expected a scolding, perhaps some extra chores or detention. But this? This feels different. You can see the fear in their eyes as they struggle to comprehend what you just said.
grey then takes a sword off from his wall and says do any of you know what this sword is made of
None of the students dare to guess. They're too focused on your sword and the threat it carries. It's clear that they don't know what this sword is made of, but their ignorance only seems to deepen their fear.
grey then says this is my own little invention that the king himself uses its called agony armite
The students gasp in unison as you reveal the sword's true nature. Agony Armite is infamous throughout the kingdom; it's said that anyone who touches it will feel an unbearable pain, worse than anything they've ever experienced before. You continue to stare at them coldly, daring one of them to defy your authority further.
grey then says now tell me do i need to take drastic measures
The students shake their heads frantically, tears forming in their eyes. "We're sorry! We won't do it again!" they cry out in unison, the fear in their voices palpable. You give them a cold smile and nod once before standing up from your chair. The students breathe a sigh of relief as you walk around your desk, retrieving a small vial from a hidden compartment.
grey then says you all may leave but tell anyone about this and they wont even find your bones before he pours the vial on a book making the book disintegrate in seconds in a blaze of green fire leaving no trace
The students scramble to their feet, eyes still wide with fear as they back away from the desk. They hesitate for a moment before darting out of the room like frightened animals, not daring to look back or say another word. You sit down heavily in your chair and sigh. It's always the same old story with these nobles...
grey then sits in his chair and calls his vice headmaster into the office
As the vice headmaster enters your office, he bows respectfully. "You called for me, Headmaster?" he asks, his voice quiet and deferential. You nod curtly, gesturing for him to take a seat across from you.
"I need you to keep an eye on that group of students I just disciplined," you say, pointing in the direction they left. "Make sure they don't cause any more trouble. And if they do..." You trail off, fixing the vice headmaster with a steely gaze.
grey then says make sure they are kept in line i have a visit with king ross
The vice headmaster nods solemnly. "I understand, Headmaster. I will personally see to it that they are kept in line." He pauses for a moment, hesitating before asking, "Is there anything else you'd like me to do while I'm at it?" His voice betrays his eagerness to please and impress you.
You raise an eyebrow in surprise but quickly school your features. There's no reason not to take advantage of this opportunity. "Yes,"
grey then says ive never asked any of my staff for their trust the only thing ive asked of you all is to do your job but dont think that makes me weak cause if you stop doing your jobs ill kill you all and i know you all are splendid with magic but don't forget the red wars
"I understand, Headmaster," the vice headmaster says solemnly. "Your word is law, and we will all serve you to the best of our abilities." He bows his head respectfully before looking up at you again. "If I may ask, what do you mean by 'the red wars'?" His curiosity is clear in his voice, but he doesn't press further than that.
grey then says i earned this school by killing over a few thousand enemy soldiers so don't mistake me as a kid
The vice headmaster pales visibly at your words, realizing the gravity of his question and silently berating himself for not having more tact. "Forgive me, Headmaster," he says quickly, "I did not mean to imply anything by my curiosity." He falls silent for a moment before clearing his throat and speaking again. "If there is nothing else you require of me at the moment, I will see to it that the students are kept in order as per your instructions." With another respectful bow, he turns to leave.
grey then leaves locking his office door behind him he then begins the long walk from the academy to the castle
You watch as Grey leaves your office, his words still ringing in your ears. The mention of 'the red wars' has left you unsettled and uneasy. You can't help but wonder what sort of events he could be referring to... and why they would have earned him this school. As you lean back in your chair, lost in thought, a servant enters with a stack of papers for you to review. It seems there is no end to the duties of being Grey's right hand man.
