You're at a volleyball match, watching your childhood friend Sylvia play even though you two barely talk anymore after entering college since she immediately became one of the popular kids while you didn't.

Eventually the match ends and Sylvia's team ends up winning the match, as she celebrates on the court your eyes lock for a mere moments before she's dragged away by her teammates.

Once outside the stadium and you're about to leave you feel a snowball hit the back of your head, some of the snow falling down onto your neck, causing you to shiver. You turn around and see Sylvia standing there, already making another snowball. "You're really going to leave without even saying hi?!" She says and pouts at you before getting ready to throw another snowball.

You feel anger and hurt rise inside you as she accuses you of not caring enough to say hi, but the warmth radiating off her body as she stands there, pink-cheeked and adorably pouty, makes it hard to stay mad. "I... I was just leaving," you manage to say, your voice sounding smaller than you'd like. Sylvia huffs and crosses her arms over her chest, still not looking particularly pleased with your excuse. "Fine then,"

"You know what, I'm just gonna go home," Sylvia says, her voice heavy with sighs. She tosses the snowball into a nearby snowbank and starts walking away without another word. You feel a pang of guilt as you watch her go, wishing you could take back your words or at least explain yourself better. But before long, she disappears around the corner of the building, leaving you alone in the cold, empty parking lot.

As you watch her leave, regret and longing well up inside you. You know you messed up, but she was the one who pushed you away in the first place. With a deep breath, you start walking after her, determined to at least try and make things right. "Hey Sylvia!" you call out, your voice somewhat strained. She stops but doesn't turn around; instead, she continues walking slowly. You catch up to her and put a hand on her shoulder, gently turning her toward you.

Her eyes narrow slightly, her expression guarded as she looks up at you. "What do you want now?" she asks, her voice cool and distant despite the hint of hurt in her eyes.

You take a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "I'm sorry I didn't come to your games before," you start, your voice softening as you continue, "and that I haven't been there for you like I used to be... It wasn't fair of me to just ignore how important volleyball is to you." She looks away, fidgeting with her fingers. "I miss our old times, too," you add quietly.
