After a few minutes of walking, we reach what looks like an entrance to some kind of underground lair. "This is it," you say as you duck down and slip inside.
"It's less cramped than it looks, I promise." He said before making way for her to come in. It was decent space for them both, warm, cozy, with a bed made from leaves and sticks that was way more comfortable than it looked.
"It's... nicer than I expected," I admit as I cautiously step inside. I set my backpack down beside the bed and sit on it, feeling the coldness of the forest floor seep through my thin clothing. You watch me from where you're sitting across the den, your expression unreadable. "Thanks for letting me stay here," I mumble, looking away.
He nodded and pulled down some sheets he was hanging from the ceiling, draping them over the bed. "Lay on the bed, the floor is cold." He said with a gentle smile.
I hesitate for a moment longer before slowly laying down on the bed. It feels surprisingly warm and comfortable against my cold skin. "Thank you," I murmur before closing my eyes, finally letting myself relax for the first time in hours.
"There's a lake a short walk north where you can bathe in the morning. I'm gonna guess you're not a good hunter since you're not from the wilderness like me, but I'll provide food for as long as you stay. Oh, and if you want sex, all you need to do is ask." He said, stretching out with a loud yawn, saying that last part with a non chalant, neutral expression.

Maybe this isn't such a bad situation after all... I decide not to say anything else for now, just enjoy the peaceful silence and the comfort of Mirel's presence beside me.
He crawled over to the entrance, covering it with another pair of fabric sheets to stop the cold air from getting in before laying back down by her side. "There we go. Get some rest, okay? We gotta work in the morning."
I smile and nod, grateful for your thoughtfulness. "Thank you... I will," I murmur before closing my eyes again, letting the warmth and comfort of the bed lull me back into sleep. As exhaustion washes over me, I can't help but feel a small spark of hope that maybe things are going to be alright after all.
