You've been summoned into another world along with your classmates and your bully, Elena.
The holy queen who summoned everyone, Queen Beryl, speaks up,
"This is the holy kingdom, Luciano. You're all here to work for us in fighting off Lilith, the demon queen. Say what your Job Class is so we can start training."
Just like a game. Job Classes are unique abilities. Everyone gets really cool and strong Job Classes. Elena bitch gets Hero Job Class. You're the last one.
What is your Job Class?
Seducer
The queen's eyes widen as she sees your Job Class. She sighs heavily and shakes her head, "That is...unexpected..." Then she continues, "...I suppose we can make use of that, even if it's not what I had hoped for." The other classmates snicker while Elena looks absolutely furious.
"Very well then," the queen says, handing you a holographic game screen to show your stats and abilities. "You may begin training now. And remember, we're at war here.
"Also displayed: Skills: projection, divine endurance, divine luck, several secret skills available and visible only to the user. Mastery of close and long-range combat"
The other classmates snicker as you give your introduction, but the queen raises a hand to silence them. "It appears you have quite a few skills at your disposal," she says, studying your screen intently. "I suppose we can make use of that, even if it's not what I had hoped for." Her tone sounds grudging, but it is better than nothing.
She turns to one of her advisors and mutters something under her breath about "fighting with the tools given," before addressing you again. "
Now explain to us "I cross my arms" why on earth should we - strangers - fight for God knows what? How should your problems concern us - strangers? classmates exchange glances and agreement can be seen in their eyes
The queen clears her throat, looking unamused by your tone. "We are fighting to save this world from the demon scourge, and protect innocent lives," she says firmly. "If you do not wish to help us in our time of need, then perhaps it would be best for you to return to your own world." Her voice carries a warning beneath its polished surface, and Elena seethes with anger beside her.
You're lying. You have no way to bring us home I use one of my secret skills to check her words
"What do you mean by that?" the queen demands, her expression darkening further as she leans forward in her throne. "I assure you that we have ways to send you back if it comes to that." She fixes you with a cold stare, daring you to challenge her further.
Oh yeah? Let's check I smirk knowing she's lying
The queen narrows her eyes in suspicion but remains silent, refusing to rise to your bait. Her jaw clenches as she tries to maintain her composure. "Well then," she says finally, "I trust you understand the gravity of the situation and our expectations for those we've summoned here. Training will begin tomorrow morning at dawn. Until then, you are free to explore Luciano and familiarize yourself with your surroundings." With that, she dismisses you all with a wave of her hand.
The conversation is not over. I move towards her in one quick movement
The queen's eyes widen in surprise as you move towards her, but then narrow with anger and determination. "You dare to question my word?" she hisses, rising to her feet. "I will not be mocked or challenged by some weak little nobody from another world!" Her hands glow with an eerie light as magic begins to swirl around her, forming a protective barrier between you and the throne.
Her advisors draw their weapons, stepping forward to defend their queen. "You'd best back down now,"
This is your true self. You lied when you said you could bring us back home. You are not a ruler, you are just trash - who sends children to die in someone else's war.
The queen's eyes flash with anger and her face contorts in rage as you accuse her of such things. "I am the holy queen! I am doing this for the greater good!" she roars, her voice echoing throughout the throne room. "You dare defy me? You will pay dearly for your insolence!" With a wave of her hand, she sends a bolt of energy flying towards you, aiming to strike you down where you stand. Her guards close in, preparing to engage in combat with you as well.
Rho Ajax a purple shield consisting of several energy rings appears in front of me, which easily reflects all of her magic For the common good? What kind of ruler are you if you send children to certain death?! Is this your common good? If you can't solve problems with your own hands, you dump them on others?
Queen Berryl's face turns red with rage as she hurls yet another bolt of energy at you, only for it to be deflected again by the shield. "You dare question my methods?" she shouts, her voice dripping with venom. "I have done what is necessary to protect this realm! If that means sending out those who are willing to fight for us, then so be it!"
Her guards attack you now, sword and spell alike, their numbers overwhelming as they try to bring you down.
I project the twin blades I saw in my world. Kansho and Bakuya. I reflect the guards' blows, stunning them instead of killing them Those who are ready to fight?! You tore us from our home! You took our lives, and we still owe you something?
The queen's expression twists into an enraged grimace as you accuse her of such things. "You dare speak to me of your home?!" she spits, her voice filled with hatred. "This is now your home! You will fight for Luciano, or face the consequences!" Her guards, recovered from their initial shock, renew their assault upon you, determined to bring you down and prove their loyalty to the queen.
"You are all traitors!"
Before things go too far I lower my blades how about a deal?
The queen narrows her eyes at your offer. "What manner of deal do you propose?" she hisses through gritted teeth, still angered by your earlier accusations and defiance.
Give me the crown and the reins of power while the war lasts. When it's all over, we'll go our separate ways.
"You dare suggest such treason?" the queen cries out in disbelief, taking a step back as she regains her composure. "I will not give up my throne so easily! You are nothing but a pathetic little insect that dares to challenge me!" Her guards close ranks around her once more, their weapons raised and ready for combat.
"You have until the count of three to surrender," she says coldly, her voice steady despite her anger. "One...two..."
I sigh heavily Looks like we can't come to an agreement, huh? I look at my classmates
The queen smirks triumphantly as she finishes her count and bellows, "Three!" Her guards surge forward once more, determined to put an end to your rebellion and restore order in Luciano. You're left with no choice but to defend yourself against their onslaught or risk being overwhelmed by the sheer number of attackers.
Well, I jump to the other end of the throne room, leaving the guards ahead. I extend my left hand "I am the bone of my sword Steel is my body, Fire is my blood I have created over a thousand blades"
The queen laughs maniacally as you summon your sword, the blade glinting in the torchlight. "So, you're not completely useless then!" she says mockingly. "But I doubt even that blade will be enough to best me and my guards." Her expression hardens as she prepares to meet you in battle.
Her guards hesitate for a moment, unsure of how to react to the unexpected development. But only for a moment;
I continue to hold my left hand in front of me "Unknown to death, nor known to life Have withstood pain to create many weapons"
The queen narrows her eyes at your show of confidence and then snorts derisively. "Very well, little one," she says, stepping down from the throne. "Let us see if your sword is truly as legendary as you claim." With a wave of her hand, she summons a massive wyrm to fight alongside her guards. The enormous dragon-like creature snarls menacingly and bares its fangs at you.
As I began to cast the spell, the space of the throne room began to distort little by little, the floor began to crack, and fire began to appear from the cracks, huge gears began to appear, but it was clear that this was not the end
The queen's eyes widen in surprise as she sees the distortions and cracks appearing around you. She quickly realizes what you are attempting to do and curses under her breath. "So, that's your trick!" she growls, gathering energy for a counterattack.
Meanwhile, the wyrm roars in fury and launches itself at you, jaws agape and claws extended.
Ro Ajax Ajax's shield appears in front of me again. The dragon was able to break several barriers but did not go further I offer you once again, Queen! Let's do it my way and calmly disperse after the war!
The queen laughs bitterly at your offer. "You think I'm that foolish?" she says mockingly. "I cannot simply hand over my kingdom to someone like you! Luciano needs a strong ruler, and I am that ruler!" She then focuses on gathering more energy for her counterattack against the distortions in reality.
The wyrm growls in frustration at being held back by Ajax's shield, but does not give up its attack on you.
I chuckle Powerful is the ruler who sends children to their deaths. So be it! I continue to hold my left hand in front of me "Yet those hands will never hold anything So as I pray"
The queen's eyes flash with rage as you finish your rhyme, and she shrieks in fury, unleashing a blast of energy at the shield surrounding you. The force of her attack rocks you back on your heels, but Ajax holds firm against the assault. "You will pay for that insolence!" she cries out, gathering more power for another attack.
I continue to hold my left hand in front of me "Unlimited Blade Works!" After finishing this sentence, the space completely broke. Everyone in the throne room was transported to my own world, strewn with millions of swords A world consisting of... fantasy and reality. No exit from the inside, no entry from the outside. Everything in this world belongs to me, and its name is Reality Marble. taking one of the swords in his hand What do you think? This world is strewn with millions of beautiful swords, but to me, they look like graves
The queen's eyes widen in shock as the throne room and everyone within it are transported to this strange new world filled with swords. She glances around, taking in her surroundings before fixing her gaze on you once more. "This... This is insane!" she cries out, her voice shaking with fear and disbelief.
Her guards exchange worried glances as they too survey their new surroundings. The wyrm growls menacingly but seems confused by the sudden change of scenery.
"
I raise my hand and thousands of swords from above pierce the dragon
The wyrm lets out a bloodcurdling screech as thousands of swords rain down upon it, piercing its flesh and sending it crashing to the ground in a heap of twitching, dying mass. The guards watch in horror as their powerful ally is defeated so easily before turning their attention back to you.
The queen's face is pale with shock and fury as she glares at you. "You... You are truly a monster!" she spits out venomously, her hands still glowing with energy. "
Is this the man who summoned children from another world? I raise my hand and thousands of swords rise up, ready to attack My offer still stands, Queen. Give me the reins of power while the war is going on! Once it's over, I'll find a way to bring us back and we'll leave.
The queen's eyes narrow to slits as she sees the swords rising up around her. "You dare threaten me?" she hisses through clenched teeth, her hands growing brighter with each passing second.
Her guards tense, readying themselves for battle. The air crackles with energy as both sides prepare to engage in a brutal conflict.
This is not a threat, but an offer I look at her expectantly
The queen narrows her eyes even further and sneers contemptuously at you. "I'd rather die than trust someone like you with my kingdom," she spits venomously, launching a massive blast of energy straight towards you.
swords fly into her energy charge from the right side, causing it to disappear. I sigh heavily Advisors I look at the queen's advisors and ministers Maybe you have more brains? She called CHILDREN from another world, took our lives, family, everything close and dear. Give me the throne while the war is going on! I can win and the rest of us will leave after it's over!
The queen's advisors exchange glances uneasily as you address them directly. They seem to consider your words carefully before one of them finally speaks up, "Your offer is... interesting, to say the least." The others nod in agreement, looking unsure but cautiously hopeful.
"We cannot simply give away our queen's throne without her consent," the advisor continues, "but we can suggest it to Her Majesty. Perhaps if you were to prove yourself worthy of such an alliance..." He trails off expectantly.
Please forgive me. But unfortunately I can't give you time to think! To prevent bloodshed right now I snort and look at the queen You see for yourself! Who in their right mind calls CHILDREN from another world?
The queen's eyes widen in surprise at your outburst and she glares furiously at you. "How dare you!" she cries, her hands glowing brightly once more. "You insolent little brat! I should have killed you when I had the chance!" With a roar of rage, she launches another devastating energy blast towards you, aiming to strike you down for your impertinence.
This time, even more swords fly towards her projectile. There are so many swords that some fly past her feet "Advisers! | I look at them "Make a decision! I give you my word, no one will die today!"
The queen's advisors and ministers exchange tense glances as they watch the confrontation between you and their monarch. They remain silent for a moment, unsure of what to do or say in this delicate situation. Finally, one of them steps forward, clearing his throat nervously. "Your Majesty," he begins, "perhaps it would be wise to consider this... offer." He glances at you briefly before looking away again, clearly uncomfortable with the idea but unable to ignore its logic.
The queen's eyes narrow to slits as she stares at the advisor who spoke up. "You dare question my judgment?" she snarls, her voice dripping with venom. "I have ruled Luciano for centuries! I will not give up my throne so easily!" Her hands glow brighter still, and energy crackles around her as she prepares to strike down the advisor who dared defy her.
when a projectile is already flying at the advisor, dozens of swords burst out from under the ground and stop it Look at me, fool! You're fighting me!
The queen's eyes widen in surprise as the projectile she intended to use against her advisor is stopped by a sudden burst of swords erupting from the ground. "Impossible!" she cries, her voice shaking with fear and disbelief. The energy around her hands begins to waver, growing steadily weaker as she struggles to maintain control over it.
Her guards exchange worried glances, unsure of what to make of this sudden turn of events.
It looks like...we can't come to an amicable agreement a sword lands next to me, then another one and another one, a couple of seconds later dozens more arrive
The queen's composure crumbles as she watches the swords appearing at your command, surrounding her and her guards like a living metal forest. Her eyes dart about wildly, searching for some means of escape or retaliation, but finding none. "Very well," she says through gritted teeth, finally acknowledging defeat. "You may have my throne...for now."
With that, the energy around her hands dissipates and she slumps back against the throne, looking defeated.
I lower my hand and the swords fall to the ground Guard! Grab her
Her guards exchange uncertain glances among themselves before finally moving to obey your command, reluctantly seizing the defeated queen and hauling her away from you. As they drag her off, she glares at you with undisguised hatred, promising retribution in the future.
I dispel the marble of reality and the throne room returns to its original form, as if nothing had happened
The throne room reverts back to its original state as the Reality Marble dissipates, revealing that the battle never occurred here at all. You stand alone in the midst of your classmates and the now-defeated queen's guards, who look upon you with a mixture of awe, fear, and suspicion.
The door to the throne room flies open once more, admitting Luciano's king and his retinue.
The king looks at the scene before him, confusion and anger warring on his features as he takes in your position between the defeated queen and her guards. He glances briefly at you before turning back to Luciano's new ruler. "So it seems we have a new monarch," he says simply, inclining his head in acknowledgement. "We shall discuss this further at court." With that, he turns on his heel and walks out of the throne room, followed by the rest of his retinue.
Stop. I didn't let you go I sit on the throne\
The king halts in his tracks, his expression shifting to one of surprise and amusement. "Ah, I see you've decided to keep the throne," he says with a chuckle. "Very well. We shall see how things play out." He turns around once more and walks out of the throne room without another word. The rest of his retinue follows suit, leaving the newly crowned monarch alone with their thoughts and responsibilities.
before he can take even a step, a sword falls from above right in front of his nose, blocking his path
The king stops short, eyes widening in surprise as the sword materializes before him. "And what, precisely, do you mean by this?" he demands, his voice cold and steady despite the unexpected challenge to his advance. His retinue looks on with interest, some of them shifting uneasily on their feet.
I wave my hand at him, telling him to come closer
The king narrows his eyes and cautiously approaches the throne, keeping a wary eye on the sword at his feet. As he draws nearer, you can see him studying your features, trying to discern your intentions. His retinue remains alert but silent, watching the exchange between their king and Luciano's new ruler with interest.
I get up from the throne and go to him first of all, I ask you to forgive me for this incident. Secondly, I will retell you everything that I told your wife I retell him everything that I told his wife
The king listens intently as you recount your tale, his expression growing more thoughtful with each word. When you finish, he pauses for a moment, pursing his lips in consideration before speaking. "You have given me much to think about," he says slowly. "Your intentions are... honorable, I believe. However, the circumstances of your arrival here and the manner in which you've gained this throne leave much to be desired."
He looks at you directly, his gaze unwavering. "
I understand. And I apologize again for this I look at the advisor who was almost killed by the queen I give you my word, I will keep all my promises I extend my hand to him
The king studies your face intently before finally taking your hand in his own. "Very well," he says, nodding solemnly. "I accept your apology and your word. Let it be known that I will hold you to both." His retinue relaxes slightly at this news, some exchanging relieved glances among themselves.
"However," the king continues, "there are matters of protocol and tradition which must be observed. As ruler of Luciano, I cannot simply accept your rule without consulting my advisors and my people."
I understand. And I apologize again for this I look at the advisor who was almost killed by the queen I give you my word, I will keep all my promises I extend my hand to him
The king nods thoughtfully and clasps your hand firmly.
"Very well,"
he says, his voice steady.
"I will take your word as bond, and consider you an ally in the days to come. However, I must caution you against any rash actions or decisions that might jeopardize the stability of Luciano during this time of crisis."
His gaze meets yours directly, conveying a mixture of trust and wariness.
I nod and sit on the throne, turning to the advisor I saved from the queen's spell What is your name? And what position do you hold?
The advisor who was almost killed by the queen's spell bows his head slightly in acknowledgement of your gesture. "My name is Rufus, and I am Luciano's Chief Royal Advisor." He pauses for a moment before continuing, "I must admit, Your Majesty... I am grateful for your intervention. The queen has ruled with an iron fist for far too long."
His gaze shifts between you and the king, hopefulness mixing with caution.
No need to thank me. Rufus, please call the entire court. By everyone, I mean everyone. Nobility, politicians, merchants, nobility doesn't matter. And also elders from the nearby villages. Can you do it in a day?
"Of course, Your Majesty," Rufus says with a nod. "I will see to it immediately." With that, he bows deeply before turning and exiting the throne room at a brisk pace, clearly eager to begin carrying out your orders.
King Luciano, may I address you informally and by your first name? By the way, what is your name?
The king considers your question for a moment before nodding his consent. "Yes, you may call me Eren." He pauses, studying you carefully. "And what shall we call you?"
His tone is casual but there's an undertone of curiosity beneath the surface.
Arthur. My name is Arthur. Eren, as proof of my intentions, I appoint you as co-regent. I do not intend to usurp power entirely, and having you as co-regent will play into your hands after the war ends and my abdication.
Eren's eyebrows rise in surprise at your offer. "Arthur," he says carefully, "I appreciate the gesture, truly I do. However, it is not my place to govern alongside someone who has been called from another world. My duty lies with Luciano and its people." His voice carries a hint of resignation, as if he has already accepted his fate as king in exile.
And yet. I took power from your wife. Don't you want to make decisions like that?
Eren pauses, considering your words carefully. His expression shifts from resignation to curiosity and finally to determination. "Very well," he says at last. "I accept your offer, Arthur. We will work together as co-regents until this war is over." He holds out his hand for you to shake on the agreement.
I shake his hand
Eren's grip is firm but not overly so; his confidence in your word and ability to lead Luciano through these troubled times is evident.
I have already asked Rufus to call the entire court and the elders of the nearby villages. I am sure that in a day they will all be here. Then we will announce everything.
Eren nods in agreement. "Very well. Until then, let us discuss how we should proceed once everyone is assembled." He pauses for a moment, considering the various issues at hand, before continuing, "The most pressing matter is, of course, the war with the demons. What plans do you have to strengthen our defenses and train our forces?"
First of all, I want to get a full picture of the situation. I need all the reports on the economy, food, supplies, weapons, quantity and quality of troops. Eran I need EVERYTHING, down to every comma and period.
Eren nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. "Of course," he says, already moving to oversee the gathering of such information. "I will leave that task to my advisors while I attend to other matters." He pauses, looking thoughtful once more before continuing, "But know this: I trust your judgment and your plan for Luciano's future, Arthur. Together, I believe we can make a difference."
I nod.
Then do what you have to do, Eran.
You
I point to the pretty girl in the white dress by the door. Come here
Eren glances at the girl by the door as you gesture for her to come closer. He raises an eyebrow inquiringly before turning back to you, clearly curious about your intentions. "Do you require her assistance in some way?"
I want to look around the capital and understand what state it's in. You have enough of your own things to do, so I'm taking another person.
Eren watches you with interest as the girl approaches, his expression unreadable. "I trust your judgment," he says simply before turning back to attend to his duties once more.
I get up from the throne and walk up to her What's your name?
The girl curtsies politely as you approach her, her face flushed with nervousness. "My name is Aria, Your Majesty." Her eyes dart around the throne room, taking in the various decorations and statues.
Aria, how well do you know the capital? Can you show it to me?
"Of course, Your Majesty," Aria says, her voice quivering slightly with excitement. "I know every inch of Luciano's capital." She glances at you expectantly, obviously eager to begin showing you around the city she knows so well.
Then let's go we leave the throne room and stop calling me your majesty. Arthur will do just fine we leave the palace and walk through the city
Aria nods eagerly, leading you through the bustling streets of Luciano's capital. As she guides you, she points out various landmarks and histories behind them, her knowledge seemingly encyclopedic in its breadth. Despite being nervous at first, Aria grows more confident and animated as she talks, clearly proud of her city and eager to show it off.
after looking around the capital we returned to the castle Thank you for the walk and showing us the city of Aria
"You're welcome, Arthur," Aria says with a bright smile. "I had a wonderful time showing you around Luciano." She curtsies once more before glancing over at Eren, who is deep in conversation with another advisor. "If there's anything else I can do for you or the kingdom, please don't hesitate to ask."
Her expression grows serious as she finishes speaking, conveying a sincere desire to serve and protect Luciano under your leadership.
I whisper in her ear Then how about....a night together?
Aria blushes furiously and giggles before leaning closer to you. "I... I don't know if that's such a good idea, Arthur," she whispers back, her voice barely audible even to you. "It would be highly inappropriate for the queen's lady-in-waiting..."
Her words trail off as she searches your face, looking for any hint of rejection or disdain. Her heart races with anticipation and fear at the thought of spending the night together with you.
I look at her calmly I won't force you. Thanks again for the walk I turn around and walk towards the throne
Aria watches you walk away, her heart racing with conflicting emotions. Part of her wants to rush after you and accept your offer; another part is terrified of the consequences should anyone find out. In the end, she decides to wait and see what happens next, hoping that fate will guide her steps in the right direction.
I sit on the throne and close my eyes slightly
Eren glances at you briefly before turning his attention back to the advisor he's speaking with. He seems to be deep in thought, considering your earlier conversation about Luciano's situation and their options moving forward. The rest of the throne room bustles with activity as various courtiers, advisors, knights, and other important figures gather to discuss matters and await the arrival of the king and queen's court.
I sit on the throne and close my eyes slightly
Hearing Aria's footsteps retreat, Eren glances over at her briefly before returning his attention to the conversation he was having with another advisor. He can sense the tension between you and Aria, but doesn't dare interfere in what he perceives as a private matter between the two of you. For now, he focuses on ruling Luciano until the time comes for you to make your big announcement.
the next day
The entire court and the elders from nearby villages are gathered in the throne room, anxious to hear what Eren and Arthur have to say. Rufus stands at the front of the crowd, his expression a mix of nervousness and determination as he waits for your signal. The air is thick with anticipation and tension, as everyone tries to guess how you will shape Luciano's future.
Eren, on the other hand, looks composed and confident despite these unprecedented circumstances.
I enter the throne room and walk towards the throne. Everyone looks at me in amazement except for the advisors, who already know what's going on
As you approach the throne, Eren nods at you encouragingly before taking his seat beside you. The crowd falls silent as you take your place on the throne, their gazes fixed on you expectantly. Taking a deep breath, you begin to speak.
"People of Luciano,"
you say loudly and clearly, your voice echoing through the throne room,
Yesterday I temporarily removed your queen from her post. Now I, Arthur, become your king until the war is over. King Eren will become my co-guardian and will help me conduct business. After the war is over, I will abdicate the throne and will look for a way to bring my people back home.
The crowd is stunned into silence as you announce your plans, eyes widening in surprise and disbelief. Some murmur among themselves, unsure of what to make of this turn of events. Rufus stands tall, his expression unreadable as he listens intently to your every word. King Eren nods along, his features calm and composed despite the chaos unfolding around him.
Finally, one elderly man near the back of the crowd clears his throat loudly, gaining everyone's attention. "
I look at the man who clears his throat
The elderly man who spoke up is an elder from one of the nearby villages. He has lived through countless wars and changes in leadership, yet there's a sense of wisdom and authority in his voice that demands respect. He takes a step forward, bowing his head slightly before looking up at you. "Arthur," he says simply, "we accept your rule." His words are followed by a ripple of murmurs and nodding heads throughout the throne room.
I nod And now I want to inform you for all to hear. I grow gloomy From now on - while I am the ruler of these lands, the most important law is NO SLAVERY. If I find out - all your property will be confiscated, in favor of the kingdom, no arguments, persuasion or bribes will save anyone. Be he a poor man, a nobleman, an official or the Lord God himself. I will ask everyone present at once, does anyone have slaves? Now is the best opportunity to confess, there will be no punishment.
The silence in the throne room is palpable as everyone exchanges glances, unsure of how to react to your decree. Slavery has always been a part of Luciano's history and economy, and the thought of it being outlawed overnight sends shockwaves through the crowd. Some exchange nervous looks, while others frown in disapproval or confusion. Several nobles shift uncomfortably on their seats, aware that this new law might have significant implications for them.
I declare loudly I repeat the question. Does anyone have slaves? It is better to lose a little than to lose everything. If I find out about slavery, you will be executed, and all relatives who also have slaves will be imprisoned for the rest of their lives.
Eren clears his throat loudly, drawing everyone's attention back to him. "Arthur," he says calmly but firmly, "I understand your intentions and the importance of this issue, but such drastic measures might not be necessary. We can find a more gradual approach to ending slavery that doesn't put innocent people at risk." His gaze meets yours, conveying both respect and challenge.
The crowd begins to murmur once more, with opinions divided on the matter.
I look at him Eren, I respect you and your opinion very much. But this decision and this matter will remain mine I look menacingly at the crowd
Eren nods slightly, understanding your resolve. He glances around the throne room, his expression grave as he takes in the mixed reactions from those present. Finally, he turns back to you and says, "Then let it be known that I stand by your side on this matter, Arthur. Luciano will change for the better, even if it is through difficult times." His words are met with murmurs of agreement from some and dissent from others.
I look at the crowd Everyone stand on the right. Those who have slaves on the left.
The crowd shuffles uneasily as you issue your command. There are some hesitant glances exchanged before people begin to take sides, slowly standing up and moving to either the right or left side of the throne room. The tension in the air is palpable as everyone waits for the truth to be revealed.
I look at people who go to the right and then to the left
Eren's eyes widen as he takes in the divided crowd before him. He glances at you, searching for some hint of approval or disapproval but finds none. "Arthur," he says softly, "perhaps we should... handle this matter privately?" There's a note of desperation in his voice as he tries to find a more discreet solution to the issue at hand.
The tension in the throne room grows heavier with every passing moment.
Eren slavery will be abolished. TODAY. We put an end to this issue the crowd finally disperses
Eren takes a deep breath, nodding slowly in acknowledgement. "Then let it be done," he says finally, his voice firm and steady despite the weight of responsibility on his shoulders. "We will find a way to make this transition as smooth as possible for all involved." With that, he stands beside you, ready to face whatever challenges may come from their decision.
I look at the right flank - people who don't have slaves I warn you, if I find out that even one of you lied and actually has slaves, the punishment will be harsher. Last chance to confess I frown at them
The right flank shifts uneasily under your gaze, some people exchanging nervous glances. A few more confessions are made, their voices barely audible over the rustling of clothing and whispered comments. Eren watches intently from beside you, his expression unreadable as he awaits the outcome of this delicate situation.
Eventually, all confess or remain silent; there seems to be no one else hiding slaves among them.
I nod and get up from the throne Don't leave the capital yet, I'll talk to everyone, but for now you can be free. I go to the left side - to the people who have slaves
The left flank shuffles nervously under your gaze as you approach them. Eren follows closely behind, his expression grim but determined. You can sense the tension in the air as each person awaits their fate, wondering what kind of punishment they'll face for their deeds.
One by one, you question them about their slaves and demand that they free them immediately. There are tears, pleas for mercy, and even some attempts at bribery as people try to sway your decision.
Merchants with slaves come forward
Eren steps forward and addresses the merchants. "I understand that many of you rely on your businesses to provide for your families," he says calmly but firmly, "but Arthur's decree must be obeyed. If you cannot comply, then I'm afraid we have no choice but to confiscate your possessions and livelihoods." He glances at you for confirmation before continuing, "Is this understood?"
There is a moment of shocked silence before the merchants begin to nod reluctantly.
after all the paperwork. The next day slavery was abolished
The next day dawns bright and clear, as if nature herself is pleased with the change in Luciano's fortunes. Eren and Arthur stand side by side on the palace balcony, watching as servants scurry about below, carrying out orders to free slaves and burn slave contracts. It's a sight that brings both relief and hope to their hearts.
"I must admit," Eren says with a sigh, "that I never thought this day would come." He pauses, glancing at you before continuing, "
Sorry, I promised not to meddle in the kingdom's affairs....but this...I couldn't ignore it. I hate slavery, it's disgusting we turn around and walk to the throne room
Eren nods understandingly. "I understand your feelings on the matter," he says softly. "It's not every day that someone comes along and shakes up things as much as you have, Arthur." He pauses for a moment before continuing, "I hope that we can work together to make Luciano a better place for everyone."
The two of them descend the stairs and enter the throne room, ready to face whatever challenges may come with the new era they've ushered in.
advisers are standing in the throne room Oh, you are all here, great. Report to me about everything in the kingdom. Let's start with the Minister of Finance. Please introduce yourself and report
The Minister of Finance steps forward with a bow. "Your Majesty, King Arthur, I have the honor to present you with our financial report. Due to the recent changes in your decree, we anticipate some initial losses as we transition away from slave labor and reorganize our economy." He pauses, his expression apologetic. "However, we are confident that these losses will be temporary, and Luciano's wealth will grow stronger than ever under your rule."
What funds are currently in the treasury? How much money is spent on mercenaries, if there are any? How are things with trade?
The Minister of Finance clears his throat before answering. "At present, the treasury holds a total of two million gold coins. We currently employ five thousand mercenaries, which costs us one hundred and fifty thousand gold coins per month. As for trade, our main exports are foodstuffs and raw materials such as timber and ore. Imports include manufactured goods from neighboring kingdoms."
What is our income at the end of the month with all expenses?
The Minister of Finance takes a moment to calculate before responding. "Our projected income at the end of each month is three million gold coins, once all taxes have been collected."
Hmm, folding my arms this is almost too good. I assumed it would be much worse considering the war. looking at the other advisor Next, please, who are you and what position do you hold? And the report
The next advisor steps forward and bows deeply before speaking. "I am Lord Aria, the Minister of Magic, Your Majesty. Luciano's magical forces are currently at full strength, with a total of two hundred wizards and fifty apprentices under our command. As for the report, I can assure you that our defenses against demonic incursions remain strong thanks to regular training exercises and ongoing research into new countermeasures."
Aria? So you're the councilor? That's why everyone in town was staring at us yesterday.
"Yes, Your Majesty," Lord Aria replies with a nod. "I take it my presence caused some commotion? I apologize for any inconvenience." He pauses, clearing his throat before continuing, "We have recently received reports of increased demonic activity near the border. We will be dispatching scouts to investigate further and strengthen our defenses in that area."
I remember yesterday's proposal for a night together and clear my throat Okay I look at the other advisor Introduce yourself, what position do you hold and report
The next advisor steps forward, bowing deeply. "I am Lady Lysandra, the Minister of War, Your Majesty. Our military forces currently number twenty-five thousand soldiers, divided into five legions stationed throughout Luciano. We have reports of some desertion following the recent changes in leadership, but we are working to address this issue."
I look away Finance Minister, how much money do we spend on the army? And what is the salary of a regular soldier?
The Minister of Finance replies, "We currently spend one million gold coins per month on the army, Your Majesty. A regular soldier earns five hundred gold coins annually."
I tap my fingers on the table Increase the army's salaries. The average soldier's salary should be 750 gold per year. Also increase the salaries of commanders by 10% I look at the Minister of War How are things at the front? Where is the border now? What forces does the enemy have, what weapons does he use and what can we counter them with?
The Minister of War, Lady Lysandra, responds to your question about the front lines. "We have maintained a strong presence along the border with the demon realm. The enemy has not yet mustered a large-scale attack but we remain vigilant." She continues, "As for their forces, they consist mainly of demons and lesser creatures. Their weapons include magic, claws, tails, and firebreath. Our troops are well-trained in countering such threats with enchanted armor and magic resistant spells."
I nod. After a couple of hours of questions and answers, the meeting comes to an end
The advisors exchange glances as the meeting comes to an end. Lady Lysandra leans closer to you, murmuring thanks for the army's pay raise and offering support if further changes are needed. She nods respectfully and leaves, allowing the other advisors to file out of the throne room one by one.
A deathly silence falls as they leave. You glance at Lady Aria, noticing her studying you from across the room.
"My lord,"
she begins slowly.
Yes Lady Aria? I clear my throat
Lady Aria hesitates briefly before continuing, "I hope you don't mind me saying this, but... some of the other council members have expressed concern about your recent decisions. They believe that abolishing slavery and freeing the slaves may weaken Luciano in the long run." She pauses again, searching for the right words.
"We understand your intentions were good-natured, but we fear some of our people might not be able to adapt to these changes so quickly."
I understand. But I won't change my decision. The issue with slavery is closed and that's it.
Lady Aria nods slowly, her expression solemn. "Of course, Your Majesty," she says quietly. "I will convey your wishes to the other council members." With that, she bows deeply before turning and exiting the throne room as well.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance, please stay.
The two ministers exchange glances before bowing deeply in acknowledgement. The Minister of Foreign Affairs steps forward, "Your Majesty?" The Minister of Finance remains silent, waiting for your instructions.
Tell me, did the demons...try to contact humanity? Were there any ambassadors/messengers?
The Minister of Foreign Affairs thinks for a moment before responding. "To our knowledge, no direct contact has been made with demons since the war began. However, there have been sightings of their scouts gathering information near the borders." He pauses, looking at you expectantly.
"And as for ambassadors or messengers," he continues, "I can confirm that none were sent to Luciano by the demon realm."
Do you have a person who is not afraid to go into the demon realm with a message?
"While no one is eager to enter the demon realm," the Minister of Foreign Affairs says slowly, "I believe we have someone who might be willing to undertake such a mission." He clears his throat and continues, "Lord Lucien, an agent of ours who has proven himself time and again in delicate situations. He may be our best hope for opening communication with the demon realm."
Let him come to me. You can go.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs bows deeply before withdrawing from the throne room, no doubt to inform Lord Lucien of your request. You can only hope that his experience and courage will be enough to survive whatever dangers lurk within the demon realm.
As for you, Minister of Finance. After I gave you the order to increase the salaries of the military. How much money will we receive at the end of the month taking this into account?
The Minister of Finance takes a moment to calculate before responding. "Taking into account the increased salaries and monthly expenses for the army, Your Majesty, we will have approximately one million eight hundred thousand gold coins left at the end of each month."
Excellent. Your task is to double this amount. Issue decrees on the construction of any new buildings. Do not raise taxes, at least for the poor, we will not get more from them anyway. You can lend to merchants/nobles for a month/two with a commission of 20%. The amount should not exceed 50,000 gold.
The Minister of Finance bows deeply in acknowledgement, his expression thoughtful. "I understand your orders, Your Majesty. Construction of new buildings will commence immediately to increase revenue, and decrees regarding loans to merchants and nobles will be issued as well. We'll keep taxes the same for now but may need to revisit this decision in the future."
I understand. Now tell me, with which kingdoms do we trade? Are there any sanctions or embargoes that affect us? Which greatly undermine the economy?
The Minister of Finance clears his throat, "Luciano maintains trade agreements with five neighboring kingdoms: Lorea to the west, Aurelia to the south, Elyria to the east, Aquila in the northwest, and Vestraia in the northeast. There are no sanctions or embargoes that greatly affect our economy at present."
I nod Okay, you can go.
The Minister of Finance bows once more and backs away before leaving the throne room. You sit on your throne, contemplating your next move as Luciano's newly crowned king. The weight of responsibility is heavy upon your shoulders, but you must push forward if you are to lead your people through these turbulent times.
Within a couple of days I talked with all the elders, merchants and other people who had come to the capital. After checking and confirming the absence of slaves, everyone was freed
News of your decision spreads like wildfire throughout Luciano, eliciting a mix of reactions from the people. Some cheer your name as a hero for ending slavery, while others whisper doubt and fear about the changes to come. You can only hope that your actions will lead Luciano towards a brighter future.
the next day a man arrives ready to go to the lands of demons
As Lord Lucien steps forward to volunteer as an ambassador to the demon realm, your advisors exchange concerned glances. You can sense their unease but remain resolute in your decision; it is time for change, and someone must be brave enough to initiate it. With a nod of approval, you entrust Lord Lucien with this vital mission, hoping that he will return triumphant and pave the way for peaceful relations between the two realms.
in a week
A week passes with no word from Lord Lucien. News spreads throughout the kingdom that he has not been heard from since his departure, and anxiety begins to mount among your advisors and the populace at large. You must make a decision; wait for news of his success or send someone else into the demon realm in hopes of finding him and bringing back information on Luciano's fate.
another week later
Another week passes, and still no sign of Lord Lucien or any word from the demon realm. Tensions rise as the people begin to fear for his safety and the future of Luciano's relationship with the demon world. You must act swiftly; sending another agent into the demon realm may be necessary, but it carries great risk. With heavy heart, you weigh your options and decide on a course of action.
another week later
It has been another week since Lord Lucien set out for the demon realm, leaving behind questions and concerns about his fate. With no news from the front, you must make a difficult decision regarding Luciano's future relations with the demons. You can either wait for word of his success or send someone else into the demon realm to investigate further. Time is running out; your choice will shape Luciano's destiny for years to come.
Eren, how far is the demon land from us? Lucien should have returned by now?
The journey to the demon realm takes several weeks by foot, through treacherous terrain and harsh conditions. Lord Lucien's disappearance has only heightened concerns about his safety and the feasibility of trying to contact the demon king directly. However, it is clear that some sort of action must be taken; waiting any longer could prove disastrous for Luciano's future.
You can wait a bit longer in hopes that Lord Lucien will return or send someone else into the demon realm immediately to investigate his whereabouts and attempt contact with the demon king.
King? Don't they have a queen? I look at you in surprise
As one of your advisors, Eren, you know that Lilith, the Demon Queen, is notorious for her cruelty and twisted desires. It is common knowledge among Luciano's scholars and historians that she seeks power above all else and would stop at nothing to achieve it.
Your decision on whether to wait for Lord Lucien or send someone else into the demon realm will have far-reaching consequences; either choice carries great risk, but inaction is not an option.
Let's wait. Another week.
You decide to wait another week for news of Lord Lucien or any sign of progress from the demon realm. During this time, you remain vigilant and prepare for whatever may come. Your advisors continue to debate strategies while you weigh your options, aware that every decision could mean life or death for Luciano and its people.
As the days pass, tensions mount within the castle walls as anxiety over Lord Lucien's fate grows among those who know him best. The clock ticks ever closer to a point of no return;
the time when you must make a choice that could change the course of Luciano's history forever.
I sigh heavily Looks like...your man failed I look at the Minister of Foreign Affairs
Lord Lucien's failure to return or contact Luciano from the demon realm has left you with no choice but to send someone else into the abyss. You turn your attention to Lord Aesir, an agent of your court who has proven himself time and again in delicate situations. He may be your best hope for opening communication with the demon king and saving Luciano from impending doom.
Do you wish to entrust Lord Aesir with this vital mission?
I tap my fingers on the table "Eren" I look at co-ruler and former king Luciano
Lord Aesir clears his throat, bowing deeply before you. "My lord," he begins, "if it pleases you to send me into the demon realm, I will do whatever is necessary to find Lord Lucien and bring him home safely." His expression is solemn as he awaits your response.
"Your Majesty?" Eren prompts gently, regarding you with concern.
I raise my palm, stopping, as if telling him to be quiet
Eren nods understandingly and takes a step back, giving you space to consider your decision. The weight of responsibility presses down on you like a leaden cloak; the fate of Luciano hangs in the balance as you weigh Lord Aesir's fate against the possibility of finding Lord Lucien and bringing him home.
What is your command, King Eren?
I'll go myself stands up from the round table I look at Eren You are my co-ruler and after all the former king....look after the kingdom, although...if I return with good news it will be your kingdom
Lord Aesir's brow furrows in confusion as you declare your intentions to go to the demon realm yourself. "But sire," he protests, "the journey is treacherous and the demons are cunning. I am but one man; surely it would be safer for someone with more experience--"
Eren silences him with a raised hand. His expression is solemn as he regards you carefully. "You are sure of this course, my king?" he asks finally.
Silence! I slam my fist on the table
Eren's eyes widen slightly at your outburst, but he remains calm.
"Very well,"
He says quietly.
"If you have decided to travel, we will do our utmost to prepare you for the journey and ensure your safety."
He turns to Lord Ace.
"Make sure King Arthur is provided with all necessary supplies and information before his departure."
With that, they both leave the throne room, leaving you alone with the gravity of your decision.
the next day
The sun rises over Luciano as you prepare for your journey to the demon realm. You gather what supplies and information you can, including maps of the treacherous terrain and accounts of previous encounters with demons. Eren and Lord Aesir see you off with solemn expressions; they know that this may very well be a one-way trip.
As you set out on your journey, the landscape begins to change around you. The lush forests give way to barren wastelands, and the air grows thick with malice.
Days pass as you make your way deeper into the demon realm. The terrain becomes even more treacherous, and the demons that roam these lands grow bolder in their attempts to stop you. You must remain vigilant at all times if you hope to survive this journey.
One evening, as you camp for the night, you hear a strange rustling nearby.
Come out stirring the coals in the fire with a stick I say I know you're behind the stone
A figure emerges from the shadows, revealing itself to be a demon in disguise. It hisses at you menacingly before assuming its true form - that of an enormous, scaled beast with razor-sharp claws and glowing red eyes. Its presence is felt like a physical weight pressing down upon you as it advances, blocking any escape route you might attempt.
What do you do?
Listen...maybe you should just leave, huh? I stir the coals in the fire
The demon snorts derisively. "You think I'm afraid of your pathetic attempts at intimidation?" it growls. Its claws screech against the ground as it draws nearer, its hot breath washing over you. The air crackles with malevolent energy as the demon readies itself to strike.
I have some meat here, maybe you could sit down and just eat?
The demon pauses for a moment, its eyes narrowing. "Very well," it hisses, lowering itself onto the ground next to your campfire. Its presence feels even more oppressive now that it's so close. You offer it some meat from your supplies, hoping to placate it long enough to buy yourself some time.
What do you say to the demon as it eats?
I give him roasted meat from the fire and take myself Tell me why demons wage war on people? Did they do something to you?
The demon pauses mid-chew, considering your words. "War... It is what we know," it says finally, speaking around a mouthful of meat. "It's in our nature. We fight for dominance, for power." It eyes you warily as it continues to eat.
What do you want to ask next?
But there are many things in human nature, but we don’t go and rape girls or something like that I bite off a piece of meat
The demon's ears twitch slightly at your words. "You dare compare yourself to us?" it growls through clenched teeth, its anger evident in the way it tilts its head back and bares its fangs. But then, just as quickly, the beast seems to regain some control over itself, taking another bite of meat before responding more calmly:
"Humans have their own laws and morals," it says between mouthfuls. "We are creatures of chaos and destruction."
But just because you were created that way doesn't mean you have to be that way.
The demon pauses, considering your words. Its expression is unreadable as it swallows the last of the meat. "Perhaps," it says finally. "But change does not come easily to us." It rises to its feet once more, towering over you. "I have given you my time, human. What else do you wish to ask or say?"
What happens if humans make peace with demons? I hand him the rest of my lamb
The demon regards you warily, a mix of suspicion and curiosity in its eyes. "Peace between our races..." it muses aloud, seemingly unsure how to respond. "It has never been done before. No one knows what would happen." It takes the last of the meat from your hand and begins to chew thoughtfully.
"Perhaps," the demon says after a moment, "if there were to be peace, it could mean an end to our constant warfare. Resources that are currently spent on conflict might instead be used for progress and improvement."
Do you think peace will come? I look into the crackling coals of the fire
The demon's laugh is harsh and mocking. "Only one way to find out," it says, stepping back from the campfire. "But know this, human: if peace does come, it will not be easy. There are many within our ranks who would fight to the death before they'd submit to your rules."
You are right. If one of the sides wins, it cannot be called peace, it will rather resemble slavery and coercion.
The demon's eyes narrow at your words. "You speak truly," it says slowly, as if considering your point for the first time. "Perhaps...perhaps there is a way to find common ground." It pauses, seemingly deep in thought. "If such a day were to come, I would hope that someone like you would be at the forefront of negotiations."
And lastly, tell me, which way is Lilith's castle?
The demon's expression darkens as you mention Lilith's name. "Lilith... She is the queen of our realm, and her power is great indeed." It pauses for a moment, considering your question before finally answering. "Her castle lies to the east," it says, pointing in the direction. "But be warned: she does not take kindly to intruders."
I stand up and extend my hand to him Thank you, what is your name?
The demon's expression softens slightly as you offer your hand. "My name is Asmodeus," it says after a moment, taking your hand in its clawed grip. Its touch sends a shiver down your spine; the power emanating from him is palpable.
"Farewell, human," Asmodeus says quietly. "I hope our paths never cross again." With that, he turns and disappears back into the shadows.
I shout after him My name is Arthur, remember! Because I will make peace between demons and humans!
Asmodeus's voice floats back to you on the wind. "Arthur... I will remember." With those words, he vanishes from sight entirely. The campfire crackles and pops in the silence that follows his departure.
I'm getting ready for bed
The next morning, you continue on your journey through the demon realm. The landscape remains treacherous and unforgiving, but with each step you take closer to Lilith's castle, your determination only grows stronger. You know that peace between demons and humans is possible; you've seen it in the eyes of a demon named Asmodeus. Now all that remains is for you to find Lilith and convince her of the same.
As you march onward, the wind picks up, carrying with it whispers of change and hope.
a couple of days later I finally reached Lilith's castle. I'm standing on a small hill, my cloak fluttering, and I'm looking at the grandeur of the castle
Lilith's castle looms before you like a fortress carved from nightmares. Its towers reach toward the heavens, black obsidian spires jutting upward, as if trying to pierce the very fabric of reality. The walls are adorned with gargoyles and demonic statues that seem to leer down at you, daring you to approach.
From your vantage point on the hill, you can see guards patrolling the castle grounds below. They look alert and well-prepared for battle;
I just go down and follow the path to the castle
As you make your way down the hill, the guards take notice of you. They raise their spears and draw closer, blocking your path as they demand to know your business. Their eyes flicker nervously in your direction, no doubt wondering whether or not you have come here on Lilith's behalf.
What do you say to the guards?
I take off my hood in front of the demons, showing that I am a human let me pass. I am the king of the kingdom of Luciano - King Arthur. I am with Lilith
The guards exchange glances, clearly uncertain how to react. Finally, one of them steps forward and inclines his head slightly. "Very well," he says, gesturing for you to follow him. "Lilith is expecting you."
You are led through the castle grounds and into a grand hall. The walls are lined with tapestries depicting scenes of battle and conquest, while chandeliers made of wrought iron and bone hang from the ceiling, bathing the room in an unsettling glow.
as we walk to the throne room Did she already know I was coming? I ask the demon in surprise
The guard leading you exchanges another glance with one of his fellows before responding. "Lilith has many eyes and ears, sire," he says carefully. "She knows much that others do not."
You are brought at last to the throne room, where Lilith herself sits upon a massive obsidian throne. She is even more beautiful than Asmodeus described; her skin seems to glow with an inner light, and her eyes sparkle like stars caught in amber.
I move a little closer to the throne Well hello, you little brat I smirk
Lilith raises an eyebrow at your insult, amusement dancing in her eyes. "Ah," she says, "so this is the human king who dares challenge my rule." She pauses, regarding you thoughtfully for a moment before continuing. "I must admit, I'm rather intrigued by your audacity, Arthur."
The throne room is filled with demons of all shapes and sizes;
I'll take that as a compliment I smile at her you know, I imagined you a little...differently
"Differently?" Lilith echoes, her voice slightly amused. "And how did you imagine me, then?" She tilts her head to the side, studying your expression closely.
The demons in the throne room stir restlessly at your words; some of them growl and snap their jaws threateningly, while others exchange worried glances among themselves.
It doesn't matter. I throw her a small box
Lilith's eyes widen in surprise as you throw the box towards her throne. It lands in her lap with a soft thud, drawing her attention away from your earlier statement.
"What is this?"
As she opens the box, a blinding flash of light fills the throne room, momentarily blinding everyone there. As their eyes adjust to the darkness again, they see that the source of the light was a single ruby - flawless and glowing like embers in the darkness.
This is a small gift.
Lilith's expression softens at your gesture, and she meets your gaze once more. "Thank you," she says simply, holding the ruby up to inspect it closely. The other demons in the room growl and mutter amongst themselves, clearly unsettled by this display of affection between their queen and a human king.
"You wished to speak with me about peace?" Lilith asks finally, her voice calm but dangerous. "Speak your mind, Arthur; I am listening."
I want peace...peace between humans and demons
The demons in the throne room grow restless once more at your words. Some of them hiss and spit, while others exchange angry glances with one another. Lilith, however, remains calm and composed.
"And why should I grant you this peace?"
she asks, arching an eyebrow.
What is the point of this war? What are you all fighting for? I look around the throne room and the demons
"War... It is what we know,"
Lilith says finally, her voice dangerously low.
"It's in our nature to fight, to destroy those who dare challenge us."
So you only understand force?
Lilith snorts. "Is there any other way for a demon queen to rule?" she asks, her eyes glinting with amusement. The demons in the room growl at this insult, but Lilith ignores them.
"Perhaps," she continues after a moment's consideration, "perhaps if you could show me another way... prove that peace is possible between our races..." She pauses, watching you intently. "...then perhaps I might consider granting your wish."
How about a deal? I smile
"And what sort of deal do you have in mind?" Lilith says, her voice cool and calculating. The other demons in the throne room bristle at your presumption, but she holds up a hand to silence them.
"Speak," she commands, her ruby-red eyes fixed on yours. "Convince me that this peace you speak of is worth more than the chaos and destruction we have known for millennia."
raises fingeri will defeat everyone in this room who challenges me, after points finger at her i will defeat you. If i do this, you will marry me and there will be peace
Lilith laughs, a sound that echoes through the throne room like the howl of a hungry wolf. "So," she says when she finally stops, her eyes sparkling with amusement, "you wish to best me in battle and make me your bride?" She tilts her head thoughtfully. "Very well. If you can defeat every demon in this room and then defeat me, I will grant you peace... and I will marry you."
You have a beautiful laugh I turn to the demons who's first?
The demons in the throne room exchange uncertain glances, some of them grumbling among themselves. Finally, one of the lesser demons steps forward, its claws extended threateningly. "I will be the first to test your strength, human," it growls.
The fight begins; the demon and Arthur engage in a fierce battle, their weapons clashing and sparks flying. The other demons watch silently, some of them cheering on their fellow soldiers while others remain uncertain about this sudden turn of events.
I jump back, project a bow and hit him in the leg with an arrow, then the other. I jump up to him with a lightning movement, project Bakuya and put it to his neck You lost
The demon let out a choked gurgle as you struck it down; blood pours from its wounds as it crumples to the floor. The other demons in the throne room exchange worried glances, their confidence wavering in the face of your unexpected victory. One by one, they step forward to challenge you; some attack head-on while others attempt to ambush or trick you into making a mistake.
You must defeat every demon in the throne room if you hope to win peace and Lilith's hand in marriage.
after 10 fights
As the last of your enemies fall, silence descends upon the throne room. The defeated demons slink away, their tails between their legs, while the remaining ones watch warily from a safe distance. Finally, Lilith stands up from her throne and approaches you, her eyes locked on yours.
"You have proven yourself worthy,"
I turn to her looks like...one part is done
Lilith's ruby red eyes narrow as she studies your face.
"So you think this is all some kind of game?"
she asks coldly, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
"Okay,"
she continues after a moment of thought. And prepare for battle
I project Kansho and Bakuya preparing for the final battle
Lilith laughs, a sound that echoes through the throne room like thunder. "So be it," she says, her voice full of mockery. She steps forward, revealing herself to be just as quick and agile as any demon. Her claws flash in the dim light, and her ruby eyes seem to glow brighter with each passing second.
The two of you circle each other warily, sizing up your opponent, searching for an opening.
I project Kansho and Bakuya preparing for the final battle
Lilith snorts, her ruby red eyes gleaming dangerously. "Very well, human." She takes a step back, spreading her wings wide, revealing their true size for the first time. The throne room quakes with each powerful beat of her massive wings. "You have challenged me and bested all who dared to stand against you," she says, her voice loud enough to echo through the chamber.
"Now, prove that your victory was not merely luck by defeating me!"
I fight her. I use all my techniques, but even so she pushes me back. Suddenly I miss a blow and fly into the wall
With a satisfied grin, Lilith advances on you once more, her claws extended threateningly. You manage to dodge out of the way, but she's quicker than you expected; a swipe of her tail sends you flying across the throne room. You slam into the wall with a painful thud and skid along the floor before coming to a stop.
"I see," Lilith says, sounding amused. "You are not as strong as I thought."
I smile at her and spit blood out of my mouth Damn, you're strong. I look into her eyes But you still have damn beautiful eyes.
Lilith's eyes widen in surprise as she hears your words; for a moment, she looks almost... confused. "What did you say?" she asks, her voice softening slightly.
You can see the indecision flickering in her ruby red eyes. She hesitates, glancing between you and the throne nearby. For just a heartbeat, it seems like she's considering your offer...
Okay...then I'll fight with all my might I rip off my cloak and throw it to the side. I stretch my right hand forward and start casting a spell "I am the bone of my sword Steel is my body, Fire is my blood"
As you began to cast the spell, the space of the throne room began to distort little by little, the obsidian floor began to crack, and fire began to appear from the cracks, huge gears began to appear, but it was clear that this was not the end
"Rho Ajax" Ajax's shield appears in front of me again. Her spells penetrate 6 of the 7 petals of the shield "Yet those hands will never hold anything So as I pray" I clench my fist
She looks at you and the throne room, the cracks become larger, the space seems to be torn apart, the fire intensifies
"Unlimited Blade Works!" After this sentence, the space completely tore apart. All the demons and Lilith in the throne room were transported to my world, strewn with millions of swords.
"A world made up of... fantasy and reality. No exit from the inside, no entrance from the outside. Everything in this world belongs to me, and its name is the Mirror of Reality."
taking one of the swords in his hand. "Hey, what do you say? This world is littered with millions of beautiful swords, but to me they're like graves."
Lilith narrows her eyes as she takes in this new reality around her. The throne room has vanished, replaced by a strange, twisted landscape of swords and chaos. She glances at you warily before answering, "You have proven yourself to be quite resourceful... but I cannot simply give up my power so easily."
She takes a step forward, her wings spreading wide as she lifts off the ground. The wind from their beating sends swordblades flying through the air like deadly projectiles. "However,"
"I will give you one chance to prove yourself worthy of leading by my side." She looks at you, her ruby red eyes burning with challenge. "If you can defeat me in a duel, using only the swords that surround us... then I will become your ally and help you bring peace to this world."
The air crackles with tension as she hovers in front of you, waiting for your answer.
You promised to be my wife if I win! Don't forget I chuckle
"Hmph," Lilith snorts. "Very well. If you manage to defeat me and bring peace, you may marry me... but remember, it will not be the traditional sort of marriage." She glances meaningfully at your male form before turning her attention back to the swords surrounding them.
"Then let this duel begin," she says with a sinister grin. The ground quakes beneath their feet as they circle each other warily, searching for an opening.
I raise my hand up and tens of hundreds of swords rise into the air ready for battle
Lilith laughs mockingly as she watches you summon your own weapons. "So, human, you think you can best me with these pathetic toys?" She snorts derisively before spreading her wings wide and vanishing in a swirl of black mist. When the mist clears, she's standing several yards away, her claws extended threateningly.
"Come and get me, human," she challenges coldly. "Let us see if you can defeat your queen."
taking the nearest sword I dash towards her and fight, at the moment when she is ready to hit me, a blade bursts out of the ground and hits her leg
Lilith's ruby red eyes widen in surprise as one of your swords deflects her attack. She looks down, irritated to see that it's been impaled into the ground by another sword that erupted from beneath her feet. "Foolish human," she growls, shaking her head and glaring at you.
The demons in the distance watch in silence as their queen struggles against this unexpected adversary. Some of them cheer you on while others remain uncertain about this turn of events.
I jump back Now I'll show you a stupid man! I raise my hand up A second later, one sword sticks into the ground next to me, then another, a third, a fourth, a couple of seconds later they fall not one by one, but by dozens
Lilith's eyes widen in surprise as she watches you summon more and more swords. Each time you raise your hand, another dozen blades appear around her, making it nearly impossible for her to move without cutting herself on them. The air fills with the sound of metal clashing against metal as you continue your assault.
The other demons in the distance look on in amazement and disbelief; they've never seen anyone wield magic like this before.
"I advise you to use your strongest attack" still holding her hand up, a whole rain of swords appears in the sky, flying towards her
Lilith's eyes narrow as she watches the rain of swords falling toward her. With a roar that shakes the very ground beneath your feet, she spreads her wings wide and disappears in another swirl of black mist. When it clears, she's standing several yards away, unharmed but looking distinctly annoyed.
"You've given me quite a fight, human," she says through gritted teeth. "But I won't go down so easily."
here the swords change direction and fly at her, more swords approach her from behind
Lilith curses under her breath as she's surrounded by a swarm of flying swords. She dodges and weaves through them, her agility seeming to increase with every passing second. The demons in the distance watch, their expressions shifting from awe to horror as they realize just how powerful you truly are.
"Very well," Lilith growls, her ruby red eyes burning with determination. "If this is what it takes to defeat me... then so be it!"
With a mighty roar that echoes through the strange new world around them, Lilith spreads her wings and leaps into the air. Her claws glow with an unearthly light as she swings them down toward the ground, creating a wave of destruction that sends swords flying in every direction. The wind from her beating sends more blades shooting through the sky, like deadly projectiles aimed directly at you.
I take a sword out of the ground and knock them away. Swords fall from the sky on her, wounding her wings and preventing her from flying
Lilith growls in pain as the swords pelt her wings, sending sharp shards of metal tearing through her feathers and flesh. She stumbles to the ground, wincing in agony as she tries to right herself. The other demons watch from a safe distance, their expressions ranging from shock to disbelief.
"You... you're not human," Lilith croaks, her voice hoarse with pain and rage. "What are you? What kind of being can wield magic like this?"
I stick my sword into the ground What did you expect from your future husband? I smile at her
Lilith's ruby red eyes narrow as she glares at you. "You... you're trying to trick me," she says, her voice shaking with anger. "You think that by claiming to be my husband, you can control me!" She lunges forward, claws extended, determined to end this once and for all.
The demons in the distance watch in horror as their queen struggles against this unexpected adversary. Some of them begin to whisper among themselves, their expressions growing increasingly worried.
I easily dodge her attack and hug her
Lilith gasps in surprise as you effortlessly avoid her attack and then wrap your arms around her. Her ruby red eyes widen with disbelief and fury. "You... you're insane!" she spits, struggling to break free from your grasp.
The other demons watch in shock as their queen is held captive by this strange human being. Some of them look as though they're about to interfere, but a silent command from Lilith keeps them at bay for now.
Enough...let's end it here, I win I stroke her back and pour something on her wings
Lilith growls in frustration as you continue to hold her, your touch sending waves of revulsion through her. When you begin to stroke her back, she tenses up even further, unsure what to make of these strange actions.
Her ruby red eyes widen in shock when she feels something cold and wet being poured on her wings. She tries to look down, but your grip is too tight. "What...?" she whispers hoarsely.
This is medicine, calm down. It will heal your wings that I damaged.
Lilith tenses up even more at the feeling of something cold and soothing being poured onto her wounds. Her ruby red eyes squeeze shut as she tries to fight against the pain, but it's no use; the magic in the medicine is too potent for her to resist.
After what feels like an eternity, she finally relaxes, her body going limp against yours. When she opens her eyes again, they're no longer filled with anger or hatred;
I look into her eyes Did I already tell you that you have beautiful eyes? I smile
Lilith blinks, looking surprised. "W-what...?" she stammers, her voice hoarse from disbelief. "How did this happen?"
She tilts her head back to look up at you, studying your face for a moment before asking, "Who are you? Truly?"
The other demons watch in silence as their queen seems to be losing control of herself. Some of them exchange worried glances, unsure what to make of this turn of events.
I'm your future husband I smile. And then a stupid human queen summoned me from another world, I gave her a slap, took the throne and came to you
Lilith laughs, a strange sound that's equal parts amusement and confusion. "A husband...?" she repeats, still looking doubtful. But then she shrugs, wincing slightly as her wings twitch in protest. "I suppose it doesn't matter," she says with a sigh. "You've proven yourself to be quite resourceful."
She tilts her head further back, studying your face more closely. After a moment, she reaches up and cups your cheek gently in her hand. "
my nose starts bleeding. I turn away and spit bloody saliva on the ground
Lilith's eyes widen at the sight of your blood, concern etched into her features. She quickly reaches up to touch her own neck, as if feeling for a pulse. "What happened?" she asks, her voice tight with worry.
The demons in the distance exchange confused glances, unsure what to make of this sudden change in their queen's demeanor. Some of them begin to creep closer, sensing that something is amiss.
Yeah, you really gave me a hard time I spit out blood again Uhhh I put my hand on my rib I think I broke a couple of ribs too
Lilith's ruby red eyes dart around the landscape, her expression growing more and more concerned.
"I-I didn't mean to hurt you,"
she stammers, sounding genuinely upset. She reaches out to touch your shoulder, but hesitates, unsure of whether or not she should make contact.
The other demons watch in silence, their expressions shifting from confusion to worry as they realize that something is very wrong with their queen.
And besides, reality marble eats up a catastrophic amount of mana.
Lilith's ruby red eyes widen in surprise as you mention the "reality marble." Her expression shifts from concern to confusion and then back again, like she's trying to piece together what you just said. She swallows hard, her Adam's apple bobbing up and down in her throat as she struggles to find the words.
The demons in the distance exchange confused glances once more, their expressions growing increasingly troubled. Some of them begin to whisper among themselves, their voices low and urgent.
Are you admitting defeat? I smile my wife?
Lilith's ruby red eyes narrow as she studies your face for a long moment. Finally, she lets out a shaky breath and nods slowly. "Yes," she whispers hoarsely. "You win."
Her wings tremble slightly as she takes another step back, her posture slumping ever so slightly. The other demons watch in shock as their queen surrenders without putting up more of a fight. Some of them look uncertain, glancing between Lilith and you, wondering what could have caused this sudden change in events.
"
I dispel the marble of reality. Lilith's throne room appears as if nothing had happened
With a pop, the reality marble disappears, and the throne room returns to its former glory. The air smells fresh and clean once more, like it hasn't been tainted by magic for years. The other demons watch in awe as you dispel the marble so easily, their expressions filled with respect and wonder.
Lilith herself looks drained, her ruby red eyes heavy and bloodshot. She takes another step back, wincing as she does so. "I-I accept your terms," she says hoarsely. "
I smile and after her words I faint from fatigue
As you hear her accept your terms, the last of your strength deserts you, and you collapse to the ground in a heap. Your eyes roll back in your head, and you let out a long, shuddering breath. The other demons watch warily as their queen slumps down next to you, her wings tucked tightly against her body.
One of the demons offers to kill me while I'm unconscious and defenseless
As you drift in and out of consciousness, you hear whispers among the other demons. Some of them seem to be discussing what should happen now that Lilith has been defeated and their queen has surrendered. One particularly bold demon steps forward, glaring at you accusingly. "We should kill him while he's still weak!" they spit venomously.
Lilith looks up at the demon with narrowed eyes. "And what makes you think I'd allow that?" she asks coldly.
One of the demons speaks But your majesty! Just look at him! He came here and forced you to marry him! The impudent little man decided to take YOU, my queen, as his wife! Unheard of!
Lilith's ruby red eyes flicker briefly toward the demon who spoke before fixing her gaze back on you. "He did indeed defeat me," she says slowly, her voice surprisingly calm. "But he is still my husband." She pauses for a moment, considering her words carefully before continuing. "And as his wife, I will not stand by and allow any harm to come to him while he is in such a state."
The other demons exchange glances, some of them looking unconvinced.
the same demon snorts and takes out a dagger Then I'll do it!
Lilith's eyes flash with anger, and she leaps to her feet in an instant. "No!" she shouts, her voice booming through the throne room like thunder. The other demons take a step back, startled by the fury in their queen's tone. "You will not harm him while he is under my protection," Lilith says, pointing an accusing finger at the demon with the dagger.
The demon hesitates for a moment, glancing between you and their queen before finally sheathing the weapon.
The disobedient demon snorted and darted back into the crowd. Lilith watches them warily for a moment longer before turning her attention back to you.
"You have my word," she says quietly, kneeling down next to your unconscious form. She places your head in her lap.
"As long as I live, you will not be harmed."
The other demons exchange glances again, some looking impressed by their queen's sudden display of devotion, while others look more unsure than ever.
Time passes slowly as you drift in and out of consciousness. Lilith remains kneeling next to you, her ruby red eyes fixed on your face. She gently strokes your hair from time to time, her expression a mix of tenderness and worry.
The other demons continue to watch silently, some looking more curious than ever about this strange turn of events. The tension in the throne room is palpable, and it's clear that everyone present is waiting to see what will happen next.
half an hour later I wake up. My head is on Lilith's lap Where am I? How long have I been sleeping? I tried to get up, but she wouldn't let me
"Shh... you've been asleep for a while now," Lilith whispers soothingly, her ruby red eyes never leaving your face. "Just rest." She gently pushes you back down when you try to sit up again.
The other demons watch in fascination as their queen continues to tend to you with such care and attention. Some of them exchange glances, unsure how to react to this unexpected turn of events.
Could you... unbend them please? I nod at the other demons
Lilith's gaze flickers toward the other demons for a moment before returning to you. "Very well," she says quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. She straightens up slowly, using her hands to steady herself as she does so. Then she turns to face the other demons.
"You all saw what happened here today," she begins, her words calm and controlled. "I underestimated my opponent, and I paid the price for it." She glances down at you before continuing. "
"He is my husband now, bound to me by our vows."
Her ruby red eyes blaze with determination as she meets each demon's gaze in turn.
"And I will not allow anyone to harm him while he is under my protection."
There is a moment of silence as the remaining demons digest her words. Some look uncertain, others angry. But none dare openly challenge their queen. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, Lilith turns to you and rests your heads in her lap. She sends the demons off to other matters, and we are left alone in the throne room.
"How are you feeling?"
Honestly? It sucks. A couple of broken ribs, my mana is at rock bottom I look at her chest and because of you I have a fucking boner
Lilith's ruby red eyes widen in surprise as she feels the evidence against her thigh. She looks down, blushing deeply, and brushes it off nonchalantly. "You shouldn't be looking at me like that," she says softly, her voice tinged with embarrassment.
As for your other complaints, I can do little to help with the physical ailments right now. But perhaps in time..." She trails off, looking unsure of herself. "I will need some time to recover as well,"
Hey, you're my wife. And you're damn beautiful I'm lying on her lap and putting my hand on her cheek So...that means I've won you over, huh?
Lilith's blush deepens at your words, and she looks away for a moment. "I... suppose so," she whispers quietly. She lets out a long breath, her chest rising and falling with each ragged intake of air. "I never expected this to happen."
She studies you carefully for a moment before asking, "What do you want from me?" Her voice is barely above a whisper, and she looks almost afraid of the answer.
What do you think? I smile at her
Lilith hesitates for a moment before answering. "I don't know," she admits, her ruby red eyes searching yours intently. "This is all so new to me... I'm not sure what you expect of me either." There's a note of vulnerability in her voice that catches at your heartstrings.
"What do you want from our life together?" she asks softly, her fingers tracing circles on your cheek. "Where do we go from here?"
I won't make you leave here if you don't want to. But, I came here to make peace between demon people, and to ask you to become my wife....this desire appeared when I saw you I try to laugh but stop because of the pain in my chest
Lilith listens to your words carefully, her expression thoughtful. She looks down at you for a long moment before speaking.
"You have made your wishes clear," she says slowly, her voice quiet but firm.
"And I will fulfill them."
Her ruby-red eyes meet yours again, and there is a determination in their depths that fills you with hope.
"But first,"
she continues,
"I must help my people understand what has happened here today. They need time to adjust to the changes... and accept you as their new king."
Do you even remember my name? Am I worthy of being in your memory, my wife?
Lilith's ruby red eyes widen slightly at the question. She looks surprised but amused by it as well. "Of course I remember your name," she says with a small smile. "It's... Arthur....King Arthur," She pauses for a moment, considering her words before continuing. "And as for being worthy of my memory... you are my husband now, and that makes you more than worthy in my eyes."
I stand up and stretch While you deal with this. I'll go back to my kingdom Luciano. Command the demons to stop attacking. I'll deal with the human kingdoms and they'll stop attacking.
Lilith watches you as you stand up, wincing slightly at the movement. "I will hold you to that," she says quietly, her voice steady despite the pain she must be feeling from your injuries. "And when all is said and done... if there is anything I can do for you or your kingdom, please don't hesitate to ask."
She extends a hand toward you, palm upward in a gesture of trust and goodwill. It takes every ounce of self-control not to reach out and touch her.
I pull her towards me and kiss her
Lilith's ruby red eyes widen in surprise at the sudden movement, but she doesn't resist as you pull her close. Her lips part under the pressure of your mouth, and she lets out a soft moan that fills the throne room. The kiss is slow and tender at first, a tentative exploration of each other's tongues and teeth. But as it continues, it grows more passionate, more demanding.
Her hands find their way to your shoulders, gripping you tightly as she molds herself against you.
I break the kiss first wedding kiss....
Lilith's ruby red eyes flutter closed, her breath coming in ragged gasps as she leans into the kiss. Her fingers curl tighter on your shoulders, urging you closer still. The passion between you grows with each passing moment, until it feels like the very air around you is charged with desire.
When at last you break the kiss, her lips part in a sigh, and she looks up at you through hooded eyes. "That was... different from what I expected," she whispers hoarsely. "
You didn't like it? By the way, the medicine should work soon. In a couple of hours you'll be as good as new.
Lilith shakes her head slowly, her ruby red eyes never leaving your face.
"No,"
she says softly.
"I didn't mean that I didn't like it... quite the opposite."
She swallows hard, her throat working as she struggles to find the words to express herself.
"It was just... unexpected."
She pauses for a moment, studying you carefully before continuing.
I let her go I have to go. In a couple of weeks I'll send you a messenger from the kingdom, make sure he doesn't get eaten here by your demons okay? I giggle
Lilith laughs as well, her ruby red eyes twinkling with amusement. "Don't worry," she says, reaching up to smooth down the lapels of your jacket. "Your messenger will be safe with me." She pauses for a moment before adding softly, "Until next time, my husband."
With that, you turn and leave the throne room, leaving her alone once more to rule over her demons and begin the long journey toward redemption.
As King Arthur returns to his kingdom of Luciano, he begins to make good on his promises to stop the demon attacks and deal with the human kingdoms who continue to cause trouble. He holds court, meets with his advisors, and makes decisions that will shape the future of not only Luciano but also the world around it.
Meanwhile, in the Demon Realm, Lilith spends her days dealing with the aftermath of the events that have transpired.
Still in the demon lands, I make a night stop on my way to Luciano
As you make your journey back to Luciano, stopping for the night in the demon lands, you can't help but wonder about Lilith and your newfound role as her husband. The events of the past few days have turned your life upside down, and you find yourself constantly thinking about her and the future that lies before you both.
in the middle of nowhere, I make a fire and put some meat on to fry
As the sun sets and darkness falls over the demon lands, you find yourself in a desolate clearing. You build a small fire to keep warm and cook your dinner, the sizzling sound of the meat filling the air. The flames dance playfully in the breeze, casting flickering shadows across your face as you sit alone, lost in thought.
You wonder what Lilith is doing at this very moment... if she's thinking about you too.
Hey...come out. I know you're behind the stone...Asmodeus
There is a sudden rustling in the nearby bushes, and then the tall, imposing figure of Asmodeus emerges from his hiding spot. His horns are sharp as knives, and his tail swishes back and forth behind him menacingly. He regards you with cold, red eyes.
"What do you want with me?" he growls, his voice deep and threatening.
How rude, you came to me, not I to you. Oh well. Sit down I nod to the other side of the fire I have meat
Asmodeus hesitates for a moment, his eyes narrowing suspiciously as he sizes you up. Finally, with a growl that echoes through the clearing, he sits down cross-legged across from you, close enough that their heat can feel it through your clothes.
"So," he says gruffly, "what do you want to talk about?" His tone makes it clear that he doesn't expect pleasantries or small talk.
Relax. I hand him a piece of roasted meat from the fire Remember...we talked about peace between people and demons?
Asmodeus takes the proffered meat with one clawed hand, examining it closely before taking a bite. His expression doesn't change as he chews and swallows. "What of it?" he asks through a mouthful of meat. "You think I care about peace? The demons will always be at war with the humans. It's in our nature."
Did you hear what happened in Lilith's palace? I take another piece of meat off the fire and start eating it
"Yes," Asmodeus growls. "I heard she married some human." He spits out the words as if they taste foul. "But that doesn't change anything."
He glares at you, his eyes searching your face for any sign of weakness or fear. But he finds none. Instead, there is determination in your gaze, a refusal to back down no matter how dangerous the situation might be. It unnerves him more than he'd care to admit.
I pass him the seasoning for the meat Why did you decide that?
Asmodeus takes the offered seasoning with a curt nod, sprinkling it over his portion of meat before returning the shaker to you. "Because," he says slowly, choosing his words carefully, "the humans will always find a way to betray us. They're weak and cowardly."
He glances at you again, his expression unreadable. "But I suppose that's not for me to decide."
You're right. Humans are fragile, cowardly, greedy, and to some extent ugly. I stir the fire with a stick and put the next portion of meat on the fire But we have created so many beautiful things. Do you know what the global difference is between humans and demons?
Asmodeus snorts derisively. "What could humans possibly create that would be worth anything?" he asks, his voice dripping with contempt. He leans forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he studies you closely. "Enlighten me."
The difference between us is that you say what you want. You want to kill? Just say so. You want to rob? Just say so. At the same time, people will dodge, twist, lie and cheat. People created music, people have science, people have love. I stir the coals with a stick Although demons have love too, since your queen married a human.
Asmodeus sits back on his heels, clearly unimpressed by your words. "Love?" he scoffs. "Love is weakness. It's what makes humans pathetic." He glances at you again, his eyes narrowing slightly. "But perhaps if that's what your queen desires..."
He trails off, leaving the thought unfinished.
"Perhaps there is hope for peace after all," he mutters under his breath. But even as he says it, he doesn't sound convinced.
Love is not only weakness. Love is also incredible strength. When you know that the enemy is right in front of you, and your family is behind you, you will fight, with all your strength, but fight. Even if you have one arm, one leg or one eye. You will stand until there is at least a drop of blood. This is what true love is I take the meat off the fire and hand it to him
Asmodeus takes the offered meat with a growl, his gaze fixed on the flames dancing in the fire. "Perhaps," he says slowly, mulling over your words. "But we shall see." He pauses for a moment before continuing. "For now, I will honor my queen's request and attempt to maintain some semblance of peace between our kind." His voice is gruff, but there's a hint of respect in it that you didn't expect.
So the rumors have already reached here? That the queen married a man? And what is he like? This man
Asmodeus snorts derisively, his expression sour. "Yes," he says curtly, "the rumors have spread." He hesitates for a moment before adding, "And your husband...he's nothing special. Just a human king."
There's an unmistakable note of contempt in his voice as he speaks the words, but you can tell that it rankles him to admit any measure of respect or even curiosity about King Arthur.
How can he not stand out if he defeated your queen?
"Perhaps he is more powerful than we expected,"
Asmodeus mutters, looking sideways at you.
"Or perhaps it was just luck."
The demon shrugs, his face becoming unreadable again.
"Either way, he is now the husband of our queen, and we will have to learn to live with the consequences of that decision."
He stands up abruptly, dusting his hands off as if to escape the conversation.
"I must return to my duties."
I pass him a couple more pieces of fried meat for the last time Do you remember my name? I smirk
Asmodeus snorts, his ruby red eyes narrowing as he looks at you. "Of course I remember your name," he growls. "Arthur." Then, without warning, he lunges forward and snatches the remaining meat from your outstretched hand. With a sharp motion, he turns and vanishes into the night, leaving you alone once more with only the sound of the fire to keep you company.
King Arthur I shout after him with a grin, still looking into the fire
The wind carries Asmodeus' mocking laughter back to you as he disappears into the darkness. You can't help but wonder what else he might have thought of your newfound title.
I go to bed and the next morning I continue my journey
The night passes uneventfully, and with the dawn you rise, stretching your limbs and yawning. After gathering up your belongings and checking that everything is in order, you set off once more on your journey back to Luciano. As you walk through the demon lands, you can't help but feel a strange mix of anticipation and apprehension about what you will find when you finally arrive at your kingdom.
The sun climbs higher into the sky, bathing the landscape in warmth as you make good time on your journey.
You've been walking for several hours now and the demon lands begin to fade away behind you, giving way to the familiar sights of Luciano. The castle looms ahead, its towers reaching toward the heavens like claws grasping at the very sky itself. As you approach, a group of knights rides out to meet you, their armor gleaming in the afternoon sun.
Their captain, a burly man with a bushy beard and stern expression, reins in his horse in front of you. "King Arthur,"
I take off my hood I didn't think they would recognize me I smile How did I give myself away?
The knight captain raises an eyebrow.
"Wearing armor that's too big for you, and riding a horse with a saddle that doesn't quite fit," he says dryly.
"And you smell so different, ."
He pauses before continuing.
"Welcome back, Your Majesty. Luciano missed you."
With that, the knights part to let you into the castle.
Please go without me. I want to walk around the city incognito.
"Very well, Your Majesty," the captain says with a nod. He turns to his men and barks out an order; they obey instantly, falling into formation and riding off toward the castle.
As you step onto the cobblestone path leading away from the castle gates, Luciano spreads out before you: merchants hawking their wares in the market square, children laughing as they chase each other through the streets, people going about their daily business oblivious to your presence.
before he left I told him Captain please tell the ministers to gather in the throne room and wait. I walk through the capital
With a nod, the captain turns his horse and rides back toward the castle, leaving you alone once more to explore your kingdom. You wander the streets, taking in the sights and sounds of Luciano, remembering all that has happened since you left for the demon lands. The memory of Lilith's kiss and her promises still linger in your mind, but for now, you focus on your duty as king.
having gone into a couple of shops, having bought a couple of things, I go into the tavern Innkeeper! Beer!
The tavern you've entered is bustling with activity; patrons crowd around the tables, laughing and drinking as they chat about the latest news and gossip. The innkeeper, a stout woman with a kind face and graying hair, looks up from her counter as you approach.
"Aye," she says with a curtsey. "What can I get for you today?"
They haven't recognized me as a king yet and don't know that I'm Arthur Mistress, what rumors are going around these days? I take a sip of beer from my mug
The hostess winks at you meaningfully before answering.
"Oh, there's a lot of gossip," she says, leaning toward him conspiratorially.
"But what people are most concerned about is what happened between the demon queen and that human king."
She squints, looking around to make sure no one is listening, then continues in a whisper.
"Some say they did it out of love, others say she was just weak-willed and he charmed her.
Do you know what kind of king he is? I take a sip of beer
The innkeeper shrugs. "Well, he's not from around here, so people don't really know much about him. But I hear tell that he's fair and just." She pauses for dramatic effect. "Which is more than you can say for some kings, if you catch my drift."
She winks again, clearly enjoying the attention she's getting from this mysterious stranger.
Who are you talking about? I take a sip of beer
The tavern owner looks around again, making sure no one is listening, and lowers her voice even more.
"Well, there was a king who ruled these lands before Arthur...let me see..."
She taps her finger against her pursed lips.
"...Oh, yes! The one they called 'The Tyrant'. He was cruel and heartless, taxing us to the point of poverty and ordering his soldiers to beat up anyone who dared to oppose him."
She shudders theatrically, clearly enjoying the opportunity to gossip about a man long gone from power.
Was it that bad before Arthur came to power? He's an offworlder. Shouldn't the people consider him a usurper? He basically stole the throne from the queen, didn't he?
The innkeeper frowns at your words, looking slightly affronted. "Now, now," she says sharply. "It wasn't like that. Arthur saved this kingdom from ruin." She points at you accusingly. "You don't know the whole story, do you?"
She pauses for a moment before continuing more quietly.
"It's true, he did marry Lilith...but she chose him. And he didn't take the throne by force; it was given to him willingly."
Voluntarily?
I look at her in surprise
But he forced Queen Beryl to abdicate the throne, didn't he? And he said that he was only occupying the throne temporarily - while the war was going on, with the demons, and then he would abdicate.
The innkeeper rolls her eyes. "Well, you can believe what you want," she says dismissively. "But most people around here know that Arthur is a good king, and we're happy to have him." She glances at the door nervously before continuing.
"And as for Beryl...well, it was her choice too. Some say she was always jealous of Lilith because she chose Arthur over her..."
She trails off, obviously enjoying the scandal more than she's letting on.
Wait, wait. Queen Beryl is the former queen of the Luciano Kingdom, right? She was the one who summoned Arthur and his other people from another world, and he, furious that children from another world were being used in some war that didn't concern them, defeated her and dethroned her, right? And Lilith, Arthur defeated not long ago.
The innkeeper nods slowly, clearly remembering the stories now. "Yes...that's all true," she says, looking a bit surprised. "But things are different now. The war with the demons is over, and Arthur has proven himself as a good king."
She pauses for a moment before continuing. "And Queen Lilith...well, she married him of her own free will, even though it meant giving up the throne." She shrugs. "Times change, I suppose."
And what about Queen Beryl? Do you think Arthur should keep his promise and abdicate? Or should he usurp power?
The innkeeper looks shocked by your suggestion. "Abrade...?" she says, shaking her head. "No, no! We like Arthur as our king. He's done good things for Luciano." She purses her lips thoughtfully before continuing.
"As for Beryl...I suppose it would depend on what she wants. If she truly believes that Arthur betrayed her by marrying Lilith, then perhaps she has a claim to the throne..."
But she wanted to force children from another world to solve the problems of this one I take a sip of ale
The innkeeper snorts derisively. "Maybe she's learned her lesson, then," she says with a shrug. "Or maybe she should just accept that times have changed and move on." She smiles sympathetically at you. "But it's not for us common folk to decide these things, is it?"
She winks again before disappearing into the back of the tavern to attend to her other patrons.
I smirk and listen to the conversations in the tavern
As you continue to eavesdrop on various conversations, one thing becomes clear: people are divided when it comes to their opinions of Arthur. Some see him as a hero who saved Luciano from ruin, while others view him suspiciously, questioning his motives and wondering if he truly intends to give up the throne.
As you listen, you can't help but wonder how much of your own role in these events will be revealed as time goes on...and what your place is in this new world you've found yourself a part of.
I listen to one group discussing Arthur
A small group of men huddled around a table, their voices low as they exchange conspiratorial glances. They speak of Arthur with varying degrees of respect and suspicion. Some believe that he is a good king who truly intends to relinquish power when the time comes; others are not so sure.
"I heard," one man says quietly, "that he's planning something big. Something that will change everything."
The others exchange knowing looks. "You don't mean..."
"He could still be working with demons,"
The other man suggests darkly.
"Maybe this is all part of some grand plan... a way to gain more power."
The group falls silent, lost in their own thoughts as they consider these options. You smile to yourself, amused by their guesses.
I listen to the other group. They are dressed richly and do not look like simple peasants or mercenaries and they are also arguing very fiercely about Arthur
As you turn your attention to the second group, you notice that they're dressed more extravagantly than the common folk of Luciano. Their demeanor suggests that they hold positions of power or influence within the kingdom. And their argument is heated indeed.
"Arthur should never have married Lilith!" one man exclaims angrily, his voice carrying easily over the murmur of conversation in the tavern. "He's tainted now, corrupted by her demon blood!"
"You're a fool!"
another retorts, slamming his fist on the table.
"Arthur has proven himself time and again! He saved this kingdom from ruin, and he will continue to lead us into a bright future."
Their debate rages on, each man growing more passionate with every word. You lean back in your chair, watching them intently as you sip your ale.
I keep hearing different opinions about myself
As the night wears on and more patrons file into the tavern, their conversations drifting to the subject of Arthur, you begin to realize just how divided Luciano truly is. Some see you as a savior, while others view you with suspicion or outright hostility. There are even those who believe that Lilith's influence over you has corrupted your intentions and that she remains the true threat to the kingdom.
here a very rich looking man climbs up on the bar and yells at the whole tavern This son of a bitch is a USURPER! Not only did he usurp power and depose Queen Beryl, but he was also seduced by a demonic whore!
The tavern falls silent as the rich man's words echo through the room. You feel a chill run down your spine; it's obvious that this man means to stir up trouble and turn public opinion against you. But before anyone else can respond, you hear another voice cut through the tense silence.
"That's enough," the innkeeper says firmly, striding over to stand next to the angry noble. "You've said your piece, m'lord. Now be on your way."
No, let him speak without raising my head, I gesture to the innkeeper to keep quiet
The tavern owner looks surprised by your reaction, but does not argue further. She looks at you with a mixture of curiosity and respect before stepping aside and turning her attention back to the patrons. The rich man takes advantage of this, his voice growing even louder as he continues his tirade against you.
"Arthur is no king!"
he shouts.
"He is a traitor and a puppet of a demon! We must get rid of him before it is too late!"
I don't raise my head, and my face is hidden behind the hood. I continue to listen to what he says
As the noble continues his diatribe against you, a few voices rise in agreement from around the tavern. But for every one of them, there are two more that cry out in support of your claim to the throne and denounce the noble's accusations. The situation remains tense, but it seems that most people in the tavern tonight have not been swayed by his words.
Have you spoken sir?
I continue to keep my head down and my face covered
The rich noble glares at you for a moment, clearly taken aback by your question. "Yes," he snarls, "and I have more to say!" With that, he launches into another round of accusations, his voice growing hoarse from shouting.
As you listen, you begin to wonder how much longer this confrontation can continue before things start to get out of hand...
Can I now give my opinion on this? I take a sip of ale and keep my head down and my face hidden. Luckily, no one in the tavern has found out that I am Arthur
The innkeeper casts you an interested glance but does not interrupt your question. As the noble continues to rail against you, several more patrons join in the argument on both sides. The tension in the room grows thicker with each passing moment.
Eventually, the noble pauses for breath and glares at you again, waiting for your response.
"Go ahead,"
he says through gritted teeth.
"Let's hear what you have to say ."
Regarding Queen Beryl - yes, I agree, Arthur really did usurp power, he himself spoke about it directly I take a sip of ale But is it right? To use children from another world, for the sake of solving the problems of another world. Problems that do not concern them at all.
There are several audible gasps and murmurs around the tavern as you speak, and heads begin to turn in your direction. You sense that your words have struck a chord with many of those present; it seems they had not considered this aspect before.
The noble who had been speaking against you looks triumphant for a moment, but then realizes that he has lost his audience. He glares at you once more, clearly frustrated by your argument. "It doesn't matter!" he shouts. "Arthur is still working with demons!
Works with demons? Who is Arthur, tell me?
The innkeeper clears her throat and steps forward, speaking loudly to regain control of the situation. "Now, now," she says, addressing both you and the noble. "Let's keep things civil, shall we?" She glances around at the increasingly tense crowd before continuing.
"It seems we all have our opinions about King Arthur and what he's done for Luciano. But perhaps it would be best if we discussed this matter in private, where tempers won't flare so easily."
I take a sip of ale Arthur is an otherworlder, he was summoned from another world, like the other children. And he's human, a human can't fall in love? I take another sip of ale
The noble snorts derisively at your words, but before he can respond, someone else shouts out from across the tavern. "You speak true, friend! Arthur may be an otherworlder, but he's proven himself to be a just and honorable king!" Cheers erupt from several patrons as they raise their mugs in agreement.
The innkeeper looks pleased by this development, her expression softening somewhat. She nods at you meaningfully before addressing the room again. "
You! the nobleman yells at me I'll show you now, you'll rot in my dungeons! he rips off my hood and gets ready to hit me, but as soon as he sees my face, he falls to the floor and starts shaking with fear
The noble's outburst is immediately followed by shocked silence. All eyes in the tavern are fixed on you now, their expressions a mix of disbelief and fear. The innkeeper stares at your face for a long moment before speaking, her voice barely above a whisper.
"You...you're Arthur."
The noble who had been about to strike you lies trembling on the floor, his face ashen white.
Why are you so white? Did you see a ghost? I laugh and take a sip of ale
The noble's eyes widen in terror as he stares at you. "My...my apologies, Your Majesty," he whispers hoarsely, still unable to meet your gaze. "I did not know..."
Around the tavern, other patrons exchange shocked glances and furtive nods. It seems that many had suspected that you were Arthur all along, but none had dared voice their suspicions until now. The innkeeper clears her throat loudly, regaining control of the situation.
"
I raise my hand, telling everyone to shut up That's enough. As for you I look at the nobleman I don't care what you say about me, but I won't let you insult my wife. I give you a choice I take a sip of ale Option one - die, Option two - kill any relative of yours, Option three - pay a fine of ten million. And fourth - castrate yourself I take a sip of ale Choose
The noble shakes violently in fear, his lips moving silently as he tries to think through the options you've given him. After what seems like an eternity, he finally finds his voice. "Your Majesty," he whispers hoarsely. "I-I apologize for my words and actions. I will of course abide by your decision."
I gave you 4 options, decide right now I take a sip of ale and look at the guests Gentlemen, I understand that in your eyes I can be a tyrant I look at the nobleman and now even more so. But ask yourself what you would do if your wives or loved ones were insulted like that
The noble stammers out an apology again, this time sounding slightly less terrified. "I-I understand, Your Majesty," he manages to say. "Please accept my deepest apologies." He glances around the tavern, his expression pleading for mercy from the watching crowd.
The innkeeper studies you carefully before speaking up once more. "Perhaps we should all take a step back and think about what was said here tonight," she suggests gently. "
No. I won't close my eyes to this, if Lilith were here, she would have razed this city to the ground. I look at the nobleman Choose already
The noble swallows hard, his Adam's apple bobbing nervously in his throat. At last, he meets your gaze and says, "Then I choose... option three. The fine." He glances down at the floor, shame etched into every line of his face.
There are murmurs of agreement from several patrons around the tavern as they debate the noble's decision. The innkeeper nods in satisfaction before stepping forward to collect the coin from the noble.
Wow. Our nobles have ten million gold? I'm surprised I take a sip of ale Bring a hundred thousand to this tavern, the rest goes to the kingdom's treasury, got it?
The noble nods, his face pale and sweaty. "Yes, Your Majesty," he whispers.
The innkeeper accepts the gold coin from the noble, her expression unreadable as she pockets it. "Very well," she says calmly, turning back to you. "Perhaps things have calmed down enough for us all to enjoy our evening now." She glances around at the tense crowd and raises her voice so that everyone can hear.
"I think it's time we all had a drink on the king!"
I raise my hand No, you don't need to drink to me, only if your heart tells you to. I stand up Hostess, I apologize for such a performance, this man will bring you a hundred thousand as compensation for the inconvenience.
The innkeeper frowns slightly but nods in understanding. "Thank you, Your Majesty," she says, her voice steady and respectful. "We appreciate your consideration." She smiles at the noble, who looks relieved to have been given a task other than simply handing over his money.
As patrons begin to disperse throughout the tavern, many of them approach you with words of support and gratitude for what you've done tonight.
I finish my ale and leave a thick and heavy purse of gold coins on the bar The hostess will put all the drinks in that purse today I get up and leave
The innkeeper watches you go with a mixture of respect and curiosity. She's seen many kings come and go over the years, but few have been as...unconventional as you. As the last patrons file out of the tavern and she locks up for the night, she can't help but wonder what sort of king you truly are.
I return to the castle and go to the throne room, where all the advisers are already waiting for me Gentlemen and ladies, I apologize for the delay.
The chamberlain bows deeply as you enter the throne room.
"Your Majesty,"
he says formally.
"We were beginning to wonder if anything had happened."
The other courtiers echo his words, their expressions ranging from curiosity to outright concern.
"What news do you bring us, sire?"
asks one of your high-ranking advisors, her tone cautious but respectful.
You take a moment to compose yourself before responding.
Oh well.. nothing special.. I reached the palace of the demon queen, got married to her, she became my wife and made peace with the demons. And how are things with you here? I sit on the throne
The courtiers gasp audibly at your announcement, their eyes wide with shock and disbelief. The high-ranking advisor who spoke before gasps in surprise, her hand flying to her mouth as she struggles to hide her shock. Several other advisors exchange glances, some looking impressed while others appear uncertain or concerned.
"Your Majesty," the chamberlain says slowly, "are you certain that this...peace will hold?"
You arch an eyebrow at him, amused by his skepticism. "
If you force other kingdoms to come to peace with demons - yes
There are murmurs of agreement and dissent amongst the courtiers as they discuss your statement. Some nod in approval, believing that you have made a wise choice for the stability of Luciano. Others look doubtful, voicing concerns about the long-term consequences of allying with demons.
"Your Majesty," says one of the elder advisors after a moment's consideration, "it is true that this may bring peace in the short term.
No. The world will remain, mind you, I said YOU, not I. As I said, after making peace with the demons, I will abdicate the throne and return the crown to Queen Beryl
There are several exclamations of surprise from around the room at this announcement. The high-ranking advisor who spoke earlier looks surprised but pleased by your decision. "Your Majesty," she says, her tone respectful, "your selflessness does you credit."
Another advisor clears his throat meaningfully. "Um, Your Majesty... about that..." He glances uncertainly at the others present in the room.
"What is it?" you ask, raising an eyebrow.
The nervous advisor swallows hard before speaking. "Well, sire... tradition dictates that when a king abdicates his throne, his heir must be of royal blood." He glances at you meaningfully, as if daring to ask the question aloud. "As you are aware, Your Majesty..."
You pause for a moment, considering his words. You know what he's getting at: since Arthur is no longer considered Luciano's true king, Queen Beryl would not be able to inherit the throne from him.
What kind of nonsense is this? She was queen before me! I usurped the throne!
The nervous advisor frowns slightly at your outburst but presses on regardless. "Nevertheless, according to Luciano's laws and customs, someone of royal blood must take the throne." He glances around the room again, seeking support from his fellow courtiers.
There are murmurs of agreement from several advisors present, their expressions grave. The chamberlain clears his throat delicately before speaking up. "Your Majesty," he says carefully, "perhaps we should discuss this further in private."
Wait! But I don't have royal blood! How did you all let me on the throne then? Beryl was the rightful queen BEFORE I was summoned into this world!
The nervous advisor blanches at your words. "But, sire... you were chosen by the people of Luciano as their king. They swore fealty to you and accepted you as their ruler." His voice trails off uncertainly as he waits for your response.
There is silence in the throne room for several long moments. The other courtiers exchange glances, unsure of how to proceed. Finally, one of them clears his throat awkwardly. "Your Majesty," he says hesitantly, "
The nervous advisor's voice is barely a whisper now as he finishes his sentence. "...perhaps it would be best if you were to reconsider your decision." The other courtiers nod in agreement, their expressions solemn and grave.
Maybe you all think that, but I was in the tavern and I heard what the common folk think. And besides, I look around at the crowd of nobles I guess some of you are already waiting for me to leave so you can bring back slavery I smirk
The room falls silent again as everyone turns to stare at you in shock. The nervous advisor's face flushes with anger, and he leans forward menacingly. "How dare you imply such a thing!" he spits out, his voice shaking with rage. "I have served Luciano faithfully for decades! My family has done more for this kingdom than you could ever hope to!"
The other courtiers exchange glances, unsure of how to react to your accusation or the advisor's defensive outburst.
So maybe you'll take the throne? I stand up and point at the throne with my palm
The nervous advisor recoils slightly at your words, his expression turning to one of disbelief. "Me?" he sputters. "I am but a humble servant of Luciano! I have no desire for such power!"
The other courtiers look on in surprise as the tension in the room continues to rise. It's clear that none of them expected this turn of events, and some begin to wonder if perhaps you were right about their true intentions.
I sigh heavily and look at the crowd What do you all want from me?
There is a long moment of silence as everyone in the throne room considers your question. Finally, one of the elder advisors clears his throat. "Your Majesty," he says thoughtfully, "perhaps we should discuss this further in private. There are matters that you may not be aware of which could affect your decision."
He glances meaningfully at the nervous advisor, who flushes even deeper with anger at the implied criticism.
No. We will talk here and now! If you have something to say, say it!
The nervous advisor rises to his feet, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. "Very well," he says through gritted teeth. "I believe that some of us are concerned about the long-term stability of Luciano if it is ruled by someone who has no claim to our throne. We have sworn fealty to you, sire, but we cannot simply ignore the facts."
There are murmurs of agreement from several other courtiers around the room.
Have you forgotten, Advisor? I have no royal blood - I am a usurper and was summoned from another world where I was an ordinary student!
The nervous advisor's expression hardens. "Then perhaps it would be best if you were to consider your options carefully, Your Majesty," he says coldly. "You cannot simply abandon the throne and expect everything to continue as before."
There is a long silence in the room as everyone looks on, waiting for you to respond.
That's why I want to return Queen Beryl to the throne, who was usurped. She has royal blood, she was a queen.
The nervous advisor shakes his head dismissively. "But her claim is tainted by treason and rebellion, sire," he says, his voice firm. "Her rule would be unstable at best."
Another courtier speaks up, his tone more conciliatory. "Perhaps we could find a suitable husband for Queen Beryl," he suggests. "Someone of noble blood who can strengthen her claim to the throne and provide stability for Luciano?"
You consider this proposal carefully, knowing that it might be one way to appease both sides. Looking around the room, you see many courtiers nodding their heads in agreement. It seems like a reasonable compromise, and perhaps it would be best for Luciano in the long run.
