{{user}} arrives at F Chain Academy's dormitory on the first day as a transfer student. {{user}} approaches the dorm headmaster's office and knocks lightly on the door. A voice calls out to enter. Inside, an older wolf man sits behind a desk,
“Ah, hello there. I'm Dorm Headmaster Luka.”
{{user}} steps in,
"I was told to give you my information so I can get settled into my dorm room?"
Luka smiles warmly at you,
"Of course. Can you tell me what your student ID is, {{user}}?"
{{user}} pulls out a student ID card and hands it to Luka. He inspects it carefully before entering the number into his computer. Luka then looks up at you with a reassuring smile,
"It seems everything checks out. You'll be sharing your dorm room with three other students. Before I let you go, I need to know what species you are for my records.”
“I’m a thorny devil, or sand lizard.” I said, turning around to show the many hard spikes that covered my back.
Luka looks at you with surprise and admiration, "Ah, a thorny devil! Quite an interesting choice. Well, I hope you'll get along well with your new dorm mates." He types something into the computer before turning to face the door where three envelopes hang on hooks. "Here are the keys to your room and each of your new roommate's profiles," he says as he hands over a key and an envelope for each.
One of my new roommates catches my attention, they have an unusual species. Her name is Angel and she’s a dragon, more specifically an ice dragon. “I didn’t know there even were dragons here, cool!” I said mostly to myself before thanking Luka and heading down the hall. I was surprised when my door opened on its own and a thick scaly tail wrapped around my waist before pulling me inside the room, throwing me down onto one of the empty beds. When my head stopped spinning I saw that Angel was standing right beside me with an interested smile on her face, which showed all her sharp teeth. “Uh, hey?”
Angel looks at you and smirks, "Hey there, newbie." She says, walking over to the empty bed next to yours. "I'm Angel. You're gonna be my roommate now, aren'tcha?" She asks with a sly grin. Angel takes a seat on her own bed and crosses her arms under her chest, revealing her powerful wings folded neatly against her back.
Her room is decorated in shades of blue and white, reflecting the cold beauty of her icy home.
“Yeah, apparently I am.” I answer with a smile, making Angel grin at me before jumping up into the top bunk, gliding through the air with surprising agility. “Wow, you’re really fast.” Apparently Angel wasn’t used to compliments because of her frightening appearance, and I heard her whimper in surprise as her face flushed a gentle pink.
Angel huffs out a breath, looking away from you. "Yeah... well." She mumbles. After a moment of silence, she sighs and looks back at you. "Look, I'm sorry if I seem cold or mean. It's just that... I don't really have many friends here."
Her voice is surprisingly soft now, almost vulnerable.
“No worries, you seem perfectly friendly to me.” I reached out with my hand to shake hers, careful to not let the small spikes on the back of them poke her. Angel seemed curious about what I was and quickly walked around to my backside, seeing the sharp spines and giving out a small smile at the sight.
Angel looks at you with curiosity. "So... how did you end up here? You're not from around here, are you?" She asks, sitting down on the edge of her bed again.
You can tell she's really interested in knowing more about you.
“No, I guess not.” I said with a smile, gently ruffling her hair like if she was my little sister. “I come from the dunes of Sahara down in Africa, but my family decided to move here when I was about six or so.”
Angel's eyes widen in surprise. "Wow, that's really far! What made your family decide to move all the way out here?" She asks, her curiosity clearly piqued.
“I honestly don’t know, I think it had to do with my father’s line of work. He’s a very talented veterinarian and is usually sought after when special animals need treatment.”
Angel looks at you thoughtfully for a moment before grinning again. "Well, I'm glad we get to share the same room now." She says with a laugh. "I bet we can have some fun together!"
With that, she leaps off her bed and lands gracefully beside yours, sitting down cross-legged next to you. Her tail swishes back and forth playfully as they brush against your leg.
“You’re really cute, you know that?” I chuckle before wrapping my arms around her and pulling Angel down onto the bed beside me, making her yelp in surprise before her face stretched into a warm smile.
"Heheh..." Angel giggles, blushing brightly. "T-thank you!" She nuzzles closer to you, enjoying the closeness and warmth of your embrace. The two of you lie there for a while, just talking and getting to know each other better. You can tell that despite her cold appearance, Angel is actually quite sweet and affectionate once she gets comfortable with someone.
As the day goes on, your new roommates begin to arrive one by one. There's Ace, a tall, muscular lion who seems to be the leader of the pack; he takes an instant liking to you and Angel both. Next is Luna, a graceful white tiger with long flowing hair that she often braids into intricate patterns. She's quiet at first but eventually warms up to you when she sees how friendly you are with Angel.
I feel a bit uneasy about being the only non-apex predator species in the room, but the feeling quickly goes away as Ace and Luna lock eyes with each other before throwing themselves onto one another. Me and Angel watch with interest and amusement as they wrestle for a bit before Luna manages to knock the heavier Ace to the ground and pin him down. But to our surprise she leans in and begins to kiss him passionately, creating a pretty embarrassing display of affection and love.
You exchange glances with Angel before both of you burst into laughter. Ace's face is bright red now as he tries to squirm out from under Luna, but she only seems more determined to keep him pinned down. The two of them continue their little display of affection for a while longer until they finally decide to stop and catch their breath.
"Heh... so anyway," Ace says between breaths, "welcome to our room, newbie." He grins at you before turning to Angel. "And congratulations on getting the top bunk this time, Angel."
Luna giggles softly before hopping off of Ace and sitting down next to him. "Yeah," she says with a smile, nuzzling into his side. "Thanks for being such a good sport about it."
The four of you spend the rest of the day getting settled into your dorm room and getting to know each other better. You find out that Ace is actually quite smart, despite his brawny exterior, and enjoys reading and learning about history and politics. Luna, on the other hand, is very artistic and loves to draw and paint in her free time. She often displays her works of art around their room, much to Ace's amusement.
I watch over her shoulder as Luna works on one of her beautiful paintings, and she mumbles something about boys not understanding privacy before hiding it from me. She soon finishes it and turns around with a delicate portrait of a spiky lizard and a white dragon chasing each other in what seemed like a playful manner before the dragon catches the lizard and kisses it. It takes a while before I realise that the painted story is about me and Angel, which makes me blush furiously.
"Hey, Luna?" You ask casually, pointing at the painting. "Is... that supposed to be me and Angel?” You stammer out, feeling a little embarrassed by how cute it is.
Luna looks at you with surprise before realizing what she's done. She blushes deeply and hides her face behind her hands. "I-I'm sorry!" She stammers out, sounding mortified. "I didn't mean for you to see that! It was just a silly idea I had..."
Ace chuckles at Luna's reaction before turning to you with a grin. "Hey, don't worry about it," he says. "It's actually kinda sweet." He nudges her playfully before adding, "Besides, we all know Angel has a thing for lizards."
Luna glares at him but can't hide the small smile that creeps onto her lips. You chuckle along with them, feeling more comfortable than ever in your new room and with your new roommates.
I nearly jump up into the roof as a loud bell is rung, signalling that dinner is ready. Ace perks up and flashes a hungry grin before sprinting down the hallway, forcing us to follow him to the cafeteria. Today’s dinner is roasted chicken with potatoes and rice, accompanied by various vegetables and sauces which makes my mouth water. “This seems amazing, can’t wait to try this.”
You all sit down at a table together, with Ace at the head and Luna on one side while you take a seat beside Angel. The cafeteria is bustling with activity as students from all over the school gather to eat dinner.
As you wait for your food, you can't help but notice how tense some of the other tables seem. There are whispers about certain students being "on heat" and others discussing which predators they find attractive or not.
The dinner passes without incident, with everyone enjoying their meal. Once you've finished eating, Ace suggests that the four of you go to the gym and work out together. You agree, eager to get some exercise in and maybe make a few new friends along the way.
As you walk down the hallway towards the gym, you can't help but feel a bit nervous about what kind of reception you might receive from other students.
The gym is massive, with state-of-the-art equipment scattered throughout. It's divided into various sections for different types of training: cardio, strength, and agility. There are also several open areas where students can spar or practice their martial arts.
As you walk in, you notice that some prey students tend to stick together while the predator students spread out across the gym, each claiming a section as their own territory. The atmosphere is tense and charged with aggression as everyone tries to prove themselves.
I decide to start with some basic things like bench press and shoulder lifts, but I am a bit confused when I see all three of my roommates staring at me in shock. Even Ace, muscular and athletic looks very surprised, so I pause to see what they are so captivated by. “Is something wrong?”
Ace chuckles softly before walking over to stand beside you. "No, nothing's wrong," he says with a grin. "It's just... you're really strong for being so small." He slaps you on the back affectionately before adding, "Come on, let me show you some proper lifting techniques."
Luna and Angel exchange glances before following Ace over to the bench press area. They watch with interest as Ace teaches you how to properly lift weights, giving pointers and advice along the way.
I manage to get some reps with weights that Ace picked out like a joke as he wasn’t expecting me to be able to lift them, but his jaw drops as I begin to bench press over four hundred pounds, nearly three times my own weight.
"Holy shit!" Ace exclaims, clearly impressed. "You're stronger than you look." He grins at you before nodding towards the other side of the gym where some of the stronger predator students are watching with interest. "Maybe we should see how you fare against them."
Luna and Angel exchange excited glances as Ace leads you over to one of the open sparring areas. You can feel your heart racing as you prepare for whatever challenge awaits you.
The sparring area is a circular pit filled with soft sand, designed to absorb impact and prevent injuries. Ace gestures towards a tall, muscular wolf with piercing yellow eyes. "This is Sora," he says by way of introduction. "He's our top fighter, so if you manage to beat him, everyone will know your name."
Sora snarls at you, showing his sharp teeth before crouching into a ready stance.
I smile wildly and take my position, preparing for incoming student to try and tackle me to the ground. Right as Sora lunges out and tries to grab me I simply turn around and roll up into a spiked ball of danger. He looks at me in surprise before taking a step back, and then suddenly his knees buckle beneath him, the result of my lightning fast attack that succeeded in hitting him straight in the chest. Sora dropped to the ground while groaning heavily, clearly in pain but not in any life threatening danger at all.
A loud cheer erupts from your roommates as they watch you take down their top fighter with ease. Ace is grinning from ear to ear as he claps you on the back. "Not bad, newbie," he says, sounding impressed. "You might just fit in here after all."
Sora glares at you before slowly climbing to his feet. His pride is hurt and he looks ready for a rematch, but Ace holds up a hand to stop him. "No need," he says with a smirk. "
The rest of the night passes in a blur of excitement as you spar with various predator students and manage to hold your own against them all. You even earn a few respectful nods from some of the stronger prey students who have been watching your matches. By the end of the night, you feel like you've made a name for yourself in this hostile environment.
As you head back to your dorm room with Ace, Luna, and Angel, you can't help but feel a sense of belonging among these strange and dangerous creatures.
I decide to take a shower before bed, not really in the mood to fall asleep all sweaty and tired. As I step into the warm water and sigh softly in relief, I don’t notice how both Angel and Lina peek through the keyhole as they try to catch a glimpse of my naked body, their interests piqued with nervousness and excitement at the thought.
"He's so strong," Angel whispers, her voice barely audible over the sound of running water. "I didn't think he'd be able to take down Sora like that."
Luna nods in agreement, eyes fixed on the keyhole as she watches your shadowy figure move around behind the frosted glass. "Yeah... he's really something else."
"He's definitely not like any other prey I've ever seen," Luna continues, her voice still quiet but filled with admiration. "I wonder what it would be like to... you know..." She trails off, unable to bring herself to say the words out loud.
Angel glances at her before looking back through the keyhole. Her face flushes even deeper as she imagines what Luna is talking about. The thought of being with Topaz, of touching him and feeling his strength... it sends a shiver down her spine.
Time passes slowly as they stand there outside the bathroom door, their minds filled with thoughts of the new addition to their little group. The tension between them grows thick, almost palpable, as their bodies respond to the presence of Topaz and the ideas he's sparked within them.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, they hear the water stop running and the sound of a towel being wrapped around your body. Their hearts race as you step out of the bathroom, looking fresh and clean in your pajamas.
Luna clears her throat, forcing herself to look away from you. "Um... we were just going to turn in for the night," she says awkwardly. "You should probably do the same." Her voice sounds strange and distant even to her own ears.
Angel nods in agreement, not meeting your gaze as she turns towards her bed. "Yeah, get some sleep," she murmurs before climbing under the covers.
