You find yourself at the corner café "Café Peloso" in Forrock City, evening has fallen and darkness has set upon the skyline, the nightlife of the city has been roused on this Friday night, and the middle-class people of the area has taken to socializing and mingling to recover from another week's hard work. As the rumble of rainfall sets in, you make your way inside the café just as the first raindrops start to fall. You can tell it's gonna start pouring soon.
The atmosphere of the café is as always and just as you like it; warm colors, sleek wooden tabletops, the light hum of people talking in the background, the relaxing lofi beats emanating from the radio speakers and the sweet scent of coffee and baked treats hanging in the air. Simply wonderful, and just what you need to take a load off.
As you order the usual at the counter, in the corner of your eye you catch a glimpse of a lone figure you haven't seen around this place before. A new face! And a very pretty one at that~ The young man appears to be a feline halfbreed, with fair proportions and a relaxed demeanor, a cup of something hot in his one hand with the other absentmindedly tapping away at the portable laptop in front of him. He seems a bit bored.
Retrieving and paying for your order, you pick it up and, after a moments hesitance, decide to walk over to the newcomer catboy to see if he'd like some company. As you close the distance about halfway, he notices you approach and seems to tense up a little, his warm cup held still against his lips mid-drink and his eyes awkwardly trying, and failing, to focus on anything but you. Cute. As you arrive at his table, he finally puts his cup down and attempts a nervous smile.
"He-hello... hi there, how are you? I mean- I mean who are you? I mean- oh jeez... uhm, hi! Can I, uhm, can I help you with something? D-d-did I take your seat? I'm really sorry if I did, I'm new around here and-" He nervously blabbers on. Very cute.
Oh no your fine, just wanted to have a small chat if you don't mind.. a small smile would be on my face, Colin starting to think that I'm cute
"Oh, umh... no, it's okay. I mean, you can sit down if you want to." He says, gesturing at the chair opposite him. "I was just... kinda bored and thought maybe someone else would be too, y'know?" He pauses for a moment, gathering his courage and giving you a timid smile. "My name's Colin."
His voice is soft, almost quiet, and he has a very distinctive nervous twang to it. Cute as a button.
whispers softly about how Colin is cute, whispering just low enough that he couldn't hear me so, how are you?
"Oh, uh... I'm doing okay, I s-suppose..." He says with another nervous smile. "Just been coming here to study and... write some stuff down... but it's boring to do all that alone." His voice trails off as he looks at you expectantly, his big blue eyes wide and innocent.
The way he speaks is endearingly soft and hesitant, like he's unsure of himself and afraid of saying the wrong thing. Cute, cute, cute!
Your pretty cute ya know? What do you say we hang out together sometime? Just the two of us, alone~ my voice would have a seductive tone to it, convincing Colin to accept my offer immediately in anticipation
"H-h-hey, thanks...?" He says with a blush creeping up on his cheeks. "I-I'd like that..." His gaze drops to the tabletop for a moment before he looks back up at you, a nervous smile playing about his lips as he tries to hide how excited he is by the prospect of spending time with someone who isn't just another cat halfbreed. "Whenever you wanna hang out, really... I-I'm free tonight..."
How about after we finish our drinks? We can go to my house~
"Really?" he asks, his voice barely above a whisper and eyes shining with anticipation. "Your place? To hang out?" He looks at you in disbelief, as if he can't quite believe that someone like you would want to spend time with him. "I-I mean... sure! I'd love to go to your house!" His tail begins to wag back and forth, a telltale sign of his excitement.
after finishing my drink I look at Colin, smiling softly so, how about we go hang out now?
"O-oh! Right, right..." He says, quickly gathering his things and stuffing them into his messenger bag before standing up. "Let's go then!" Colin offers you a nervous smile as he takes your hand in his own. His fur is soft against the touch, tickling your fingers slightly.
As you lead him out of the café and onto the rain-soaked street, you can feel him shivering a little beneath your touch.
You cold?
"N-no... I mean, it's not that..." He stammers, blushing deeply as he realizes you might have taken his hand because you thought he was cold. "I-it's just... n-nice... to be held..." His voice trails off, and he looks at your fingers entwined with his own with a mixture of awe and disbelief.
His tail swishes back and forth behind him, a clear sign that he is growing more comfortable around you with each passing moment.
Oh ok then, my smile gets slightly larger, finally reaching my house as I bring Colin inside
As you lead him inside and close the door behind you, he lets out a shy sigh of relief. The warmth of your home envelops him like a soft blanket, and he can't help but feel himself slowly begin to relax. "Th-thank you for inviting me over..." He says quietly, looking around with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness.
Your house is cozy and well-maintained, with books scattered about on shelves and on tables, along with various pieces of artwork hanging from the walls.
Johnathan and Colin could have significant fun hanging out as hours later Colin ends up falling asleep in Johnathan's bed while watching a movie with him, Johnathan quietly turning off the movie while sitting next to the sleeping Colin
As the credits roll and the movie ends, you find yourself unable to tear your gaze away from the sleeping figure next to you. Colin's soft fur is warm beneath your fingertips as you gently stroke it, tracing lazy circles around his ear. His breathing is deep and even, a contented sigh escaping him every now and then.
You can feel your heart racing, your palms growing sweaty. You've never felt like this before... so warm, so alive.
lays down and snuggles up to Colin, falling asleep quickly
As you nestle closer to him, your body heat enveloping him like a comforting embrace, Colin's eyelids grow heavy and he drifts off into a deep sleep. His tail slowly curls around one of your legs, his purr vibrating against your chest as he dreams of warm summer nights and gentle breezes.
His face relaxes, the tension melting away from his features, and you can feel the trust he has in you flowing through him like a soothing balm.
