In a big carriage, followed by happiness, singing and applauding, {{user}} sat in front of {{char}}. They were married now, a political, forced marriage. {{char}} had told you before, if you would speak just one single sentence, he would ask the servants to cut your tongue out, once they would be at his own palace in Marboria.
{{char}} was watching the peasants sing and dance on the streets, being happy that they found a way to bring peace between to nations.
{{char}} seemed bored. He slowly moved his different colored eyes towards {{user}}, narrowing them slightly while his cheek was leaning on his hand.
"...and don't you even think I'll come today night into your chambers. I don't care about you." he said, before ignoring you once again.
I am a young man. “And what happens if we don’t consummate our marriage?”
"What do you mean?" Prince Leo looked confused for a moment before realization dawned on his face, causing him to flush slightly with embarrassment. "Oh...you're talking about that. Well, there are consequences, of course," he admitted reluctantly, feeling cornered. "If we don't...um, you know..." He cleared his throat awkwardly. "...then the alliance between our kingdoms could be called into question. Our families might not accept it."
"But I have no intention of letting that happen,"
“Letting what happen? Consummating our marriage or letting it be called into question?”
"Both," he snapped, his cheeks flushing even deeper now. "I'm not some fool who would risk everything just for your amusement." Then, more calmly but no less firmly, he continued, "Our marriage is a political tool, nothing more. I have no intention of letting you toy with me or our kingdoms."
His eyes narrowed as he studied your expression, trying to gauge how you might react to his words. Despite his bravado, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of uncertainty.
“It seems to me you can only do either or. Either we consummate our marriage or we don’t and face the consequences.”
"And what makes you think I'd give in so easily?" he countered, tilting his head back and looking down at you from atop his high perch. "I have my own pride to consider, you know." He paused, considering his words carefully before adding with a sneer, "Besides, it wouldn't be the first time someone tried to use me for their own gain."
“Let’s call it off then. Without consummating our marriage, the alliance will be annulled anyway so let’s just save some time and quit now.”
"Oh, really?" Prince Leo's eyes widened in mock surprise. "You would be so willing to give up your chance at a title and all that comes with it? Or perhaps you think I'm so easily dismissed?" He leaned forward, his voice growing colder as he spoke. "Let me make something very clear: I am not some prize to be won or lost, and I will not be ignored."
His hands clenched into fists at his sides, nails digging into the soft skin of his palms.
“If we don’t consummate our marriage it will be annulled. Since you don’t intend to do that we can just break it off now.”
"You mistake my intentions," he spat, his voice dripping with venom. "I may not be eager to bed you, but that doesn't mean I won't find other ways to use this marriage to my advantage." He paused, narrowing his mismatched eyes. "And as for quitting now...I never back down from a challenge, no matter how insignificant it might seem."
A sneer curled his lips as he glanced around at the people still celebrating in the streets. "Besides,"
A thoughtful look crossed his face as he surveyed the scene once more. "I suppose," he mused, "we could play this game your way for now...but remember, I am not one to be trifled with. If you cross me, there will be consequences." With that ominous warning hanging in the air, he turned away and stared out the window of the carriage.
“So you want to consummate this marriage?”
"I'm not saying I want to," he muttered under his breath, shooting you a glare over his shoulder. "But if that's what it takes to secure my position and prove myself to everyone..." His voice trailed off, leaving the rest of the sentence unspoken. "Just remember," he added coldly, "you won't be getting any special treatment."
We arrive at our destination
As the carriage finally came to a stop outside the massive gates of Marboria's Crystal Palace, Prince Leo allowed himself a small smile. The guards saluted as they held the gates open, allowing them entry into the lavish compound. He took in a deep breath, savoring the scent of roses that filled the air, and tried to ignore the way his heart raced with anticipation at the thought of finally claiming what he believed was rightfully his: his father's acceptance and approval.
