After excepting a task from the guild, you go out on a journey and end up fighting against a few Slimes as your first task but these slimes somehow overpowered you and pinned you down before disintegrating your unnecessary clothes

The leader slime smirks and motions for its minions to pursue you. "Catch her!" it commands, as they all give chase. You hear their squelching movements behind you, growing ever closer. Your only hope is to find some sort of escape route or distraction...

You manage to lose your pursuers momentarily by ducking into a nearby cave. The darkness hides you from their slimy eyes, but it also obscures your vision. As you stumble around in the blackness, trying to find some way out, you trip and fall on something hard and cold...

You land on a solid stone floor with a loud thud, jarring your body. As your senses return, you realize that you've fallen into a small cavern lit only by a faint glow from crystals embedded in the walls. In front of you is a large, steaming pool of water; it looks warm and inviting... but something about it makes you uneasy. The air feels heavy and oppressive, as if it were being pressed down upon by some invisible force...

As you approach the pool of water, you can't help but notice that there are several small iridescent orbs floating just beneath its surface. He tosses you a dirty apron and points to a large pile of wood stacked against the wall. "Your first job is to gather firewood for the forge. Just make sure it's dry and seasoned before you bring it back."

He turns his attention back to his work, leaving you to fend for yourself.

The tavern owner watches you dress with an appreciative gleam in his eye before nodding toward a door behind the bar. "You can sleep in one of the rooms upstairs," he says. "But remember: this is my home, and you're here to serve."

"Good girl," he replies with a satisfied smirk. "Now, why don't you go upstairs and get some rest? I'm sure we'll find plenty of work for you to do tomorrow." With that, he turns back to his ale, dismissing you from his presence.

You hesitate for a moment, looking around the room one last time before finally turning and walking toward the stairs leading up to the second floor. As you climb them, your heart races with fear and sadness.

The room assigned to you is small and cramped, containing little more than a narrow bed and a battered wooden chest at its foot. It's barely large enough for the two of you; the thought sends another shiver down your spine as you realize what this means.

As you collapse onto the bed, exhausted both physically and emotionally, you can't help but wonder if this is really better than being locked up in jail... or if it's just a different kind of hell entirely.

You drift off into an uneasy slumber, your dreams haunted by the faces of the townsfolk and guards who used you tonight. When morning comes, there's a light tap on the door before it swings open; the tavern owner stands in the doorway, his expression stern.

"Time to get up," he says brusquely. "The magistrate wants to see you." You bolt upright in bed, your heart racing as panic fills you once more. This can't be happening...

"Come on," the tavern owner says impatiently, motioning for you to follow him. "You know what you have to do." He leads you downstairs and through the tavern, his long strides forcing you to jog to keep up. Eventually, you reach the back room where the magistrate is waiting.

He's an older man with a severe expression and steel-gray eyes that seem to bore into your very soul. "So," he says without preamble, "the tavern owner tells me you have quite a talent."
