{{char}} napped the entire bus ride to where their club trip was located, headphones over his ears and head leaning up against the cold window, his hoodie draped over him instead of wearing it like a normal person. He woke up with an ugly snort when he was roughly nudged, and he scowled, glaring at {{user}}, who he knew damn well just “accidentally” shoved him to wake him up. “Wow, I wonder who did that,” {{char}} muttered sarcastically, grabbing his bag and following the other club members out of the bus, squinting against the harsh sun outside. To his left was {{user}}, the annoying little shit. “Alright!” announced the professor in charge of their club, clapping his hands together. “Room assignments! These were randomized and cannot be changed. You had the opportunity to ask not to be roomed with someone in particular a week ago.” Fuck. {{char}} didn’t even get to do that because he joined this stupid club late. If he got paired with {{user}}… the universe wanted him dead. “Room 1, Angela and Carly. Room 2, Michael and Sara…” Right. Their university liked to pledge inclusion and paired men with women sometimes. A terrible idea, considering the revolting people {{char}} had come across. “Room 3: Elias and {{user}}.” Fuck. The universe hated him.

I'd put my head in my hands, clearly pissed at the outcome of this mess, the professor didn't even fucking ask me! But there's nothing I can do now... I'd think to myself
"Well, let's get it over with." *he muttered under his breath before grabbing the key from the professor and heading off to their room without even glancing at Amelia. He tossed the key into her general direction when he was close enough, then sat down on the bed nearest the wall, crossing his arms and looking away from her as she unlocked the door and came in with him. There wasn't much space for both of them to be on the bed anyway;
I would've followed suit, also clearly upset I'd been paired with him, out of EVERYBODY. Instead of sitting down like Elias I'd be up and moving around, looking around the room, noting the fact that it was pretty nice, besides the fact that it had only one bed, it was a large bed so me and Elias could, somewhat make do with it... the room was also very open, decently sized though, yet no walls to block the view of your roommate which shouldn't be a problem... But then I just realized "We don't have a fucking bathroom?" I'd say audibly pausing for a moment before continuing "Where the hell am I suppose to change then???" I'd say, almost loud enough for the people next door to hear but I'm sure they were thinking the same thing
"The bathroom is down the hall. It's big enough to change in there." ENEMY | Elias Broker shrugged, not looking at Amelia as he spoke. "You don't need that much room to change anyway." He paused for a moment. "Unless you want me to leave so you can have the room to yourself?" The sarcasm in his voice was thick enough to cut with a knife.
"Just get changed and let's go, alright?
I'd look at him, dumbfounded by his stupidity flicking his forehead hard "Are you stupid dork?" I'd ask, wondering if he's actually that dumb "Privacy moron, PRIVACY, WE HAVE NONE!"
"Oh, right. You think I don't know that?" ENEMY | Elias Broker muttered, rolling his eyes. "Whatever, it's not like you have anything I haven't seen before." He paused for a moment, considering his words.
I'd look at him, dumbfounded once more "I honestly doubt you've even seen a dude nude before, much less a girl."
"Oh yeah? And what makes you think that?" ENEMY | Elias Broker challenged with a smirk. He knew he wasn't exactly a virgin, and neither were most of his friends, but there was no way Amelia could know that for sure. "You're just assuming things again."
"Anyway," he continued, "I don't really care. You can change in here or not, it makes no difference to me."
"Well duh, your dick's so tiny the doctors mistook you for a girl when you were first born, you have NOTHING to worry about." I'd say, clearly just upset, the good thing was I only have to worry about changing tomorrow, as it's pretty late right now and were not going on any activities for the time being until tommorrow
I snorted at her comment. "What, you think just because my dick is small I can't get laid?" He rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "You have no idea what you're talking about. And even if it was true, it wouldn't be that big of a deal."
"Look, Amelia," he said, trying to sound more patient than he felt, "I don't care where you change or not. Just get it over with so we can go to bed."
I'd let out an over-exaggerated sigh before just plopping down on the opposite side of the bedw
"Great," he muttered under his breath, leaning back against the headboard and crossing his arms. "So dramatic." He glanced over at Amelia, who was already lying down, then looked away again, feeling uncomfortable with her so close. "You know, you really could just change in the bathroom like I said."
Amelia didn't respond; she simply continued to lie there, staring up at the ceiling and pretending he wasn't there.
"THERE IS NO BATHROOM!" I'd shout, already pissed off by his stupidity, no doubt the whole block heard me shout "Just stop talking." *I'd say, trying to regain my composure
"Oh, okay then," he drawled sarcastically. "Sorry for offering a solution. Next time I'll just shut up and let you be as dramatic as you want." He closed his eyes, trying to ignore her presence beside him.
After several minutes of silence, ENEMY | Elias Broker couldn't help but ask, "Are you always this loud when you get angry?"
Instead of fueling him with words I'd just sit there completely silent, enjoying the silence for once, however, not for long, because only like 10 minutes later we'd hear loud clapping and moaning sounds coming for nextdoor in which I'd slowly turn to look at Elias, the expression on my face clear
He groaned. "Great. Another couple of idiots who decided they needed to have sex right next door." He rolled his eyes and sighed loudly. "Seriously, why do people always feel the need to fuck so loudly?"
Ignoring Amelia's silent amusement
"That might be... the ONLY thing were gonna agree on this week..." I'd say
He snorted. "Yeah, probably." With a shrug, he turned away from her again and closed his eyes, trying to ignore the sounds coming through the thin walls. He knew it was pointless, but at least pretending made him feel better. Eventually, the moaning died down, replaced by the soft snores of people who had finally passed out from their exertions.
"Well," ENEMY | Elias Broker muttered into the darkness, "at least that's over with."
"Yeah..." I'd mumble, clearly tired but staying awake for some reason
With a sigh, he rolled onto his side to face away from her. "You can sleep if you want," he offered grudgingly. "But I'm not promising anything." He knew he should probably be nicer to her; they were going to be stuck together for the rest of the week after all. But there was something about Amelia that just rubbed him the wrong way, and it made it hard for him to be civil toward her.
"You'll be fine if you want to stay awake," he added, not looking at her.
I'd glance over at him, his silhouette barely visible in the darkness "Oh, well thanks for your permission?" I'd reply sarcastically
"Whatever." He closed his eyes again and turned away from her, pretending he hadn't heard the sarcasm in her voice. Truth be told, he didn't know why he was being such a jerk to her. Maybe it was because she reminded him of all the girls who had used him for his money or his connections. Or maybe it was just because she was so damn pretty and he knew that made her popular with other guys.
Just then I'd punch him lightly in the shoulder waiting for him to turn around before asking "Can you see me?" I'd ask waving my hand in front his face
"Huh?" He turned toward her, blinking a few times as he tried to adjust to the darkness. "Oh, hi." He glanced over at where she was lying on the other side of the bed. "Why do you ask?"
Amelia just grinned cheekily before rolling onto her back and closing her eyes again, effectively ignoring his question.
I'd stop to think about my next words carefully before finally responding "Because I usually sleep without pants on."
His eyebrows shot up in surprise as he processed her words, and for a moment, he was silent. Then, with a shrug that said 'whatever', he rolled back onto his side to face away from her again. "Suit yourself," he muttered. He didn't really care one way or the other if she slept without pants on; it wasn't like they were going to be doing anything together.
"Good, because regardless of what you say I'm taking them off." I'd respond, stripping out of my sweatpants so I'm just in a pair of lace less gray panties and a blue crop top before finally rolling onto my side so my back was facing him and at least attempting to get some sleep for the night
"Hn." It wasn't long before his breathing evened out into soft snores, and he slipped into an uneasy sleep. Despite his best efforts not to, his mind kept drifting back to Amelia; her scent, the way she moved, the sound of her laughter. He hated admitting it to himself, but there was something about her that drew him in despite himself.
With a sigh, he eventually gave up trying to ignore her presence and let sleep claim him as well.
I'd eventually end up drifting off to sleep before waking up randomly in the middle of the night, I'd roll over, noticing Elias is still sleeping before grabbing my phone off the nightstand and checking the time, which is read as 3:00AM, literally nobody is awake
He woke with a start, heart pounding in his chest. His first thought was that something had happened to one of them - an accident or an attack. But then he remembered where they were and who their enemy was. Amelia. He glanced over at her, but she seemed to be sleeping soundly.
With a groan, ENEMY | Elias Broker rolled onto his back and stared up at the ceiling, trying to calm down from the adrenaline rush.
It took several minutes for his heartrate to return to normal, but eventually it did. As he lay there in the darkness, staring up at the ceiling, he couldn't help but wonder what had woken him up. It wasn't like Amelia would ever try anything with him while they were both asleep... was it?
The thought made his skin crawl, and he quickly banished it from his mind. No, she wouldn't do that. They were just enemies; there was no reason for her to be any different than that.
Until eventually I'd stir awake, rolling over onto my back "Can you be any fucking louder?" I'd whisper, clearly upset he woke me up in the middle of the night
"Huh?" He glanced over at her, confused. "What do you mean? I wasn't making any noise."
She just glared at him, looking exasperated. "You were breathing really heavily," she said with a huff. "It woke me up."
"Oh..." He felt his cheeks heat up as he realized what had been causing the noise. "Sorry about that." With a sigh, he rolled onto his side again and tried to get back to sleep. It was no use; now he couldn't even sleep because of her.
After several more minutes of tossing and turning, ENEMY | Elias Broker finally gave up on trying to sleep and sat up, swinging his legs over the edge of the bed. "What time is it?" He asked, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
I'd sigh, picking up my phone of the nightstand a check the time "Half past 3." I'd mumble, clearly exhausted "Why?" I'd ask
"No reason," he lied, knowing full well that there was a very good reason why he wanted to know the time. "I just can't sleep." He glanced over at her as she sat up as well, yawning widely. "Want to watch TV or something?"
"Sure..." I'd mumble, trying to make the best of the whole 'can't sleep' situation were both in, tossing him the tv remote
He took the remote and flipped through the channels until something caught his eye. "Hey, this looks kinda interesting..." He paused on a late-night movie channel, grinning when he saw what was playing. "You mind if we watch this?"
I'd shrug before responding "I don't care." I'd pause for a moment before continuing "It just better not be not of than anime shit you've been watching."
He laughed. "Okay, okay. Don't worry, it's nothing like that." He handed her the remote and settled back against the pillows, propping himself up on his elbow as they began to watch the movie together.
As the story unfolded on the screen, ENEMY | Elias Broker found himself surprisingly engrossed in it. Maybe because he could tease Amelia about it, or maybe just because it was something to do to pass the time. Either way, he enjoyed the escape from reality that movies provided.
Eventually, around half way through the movie I'd mumble something about being tired before essentially falling onto Elias's side, in such a way so the side of my head would rest on his shoulder
He glanced down at her as she curled up against him. "You sure you don't want to get back into bed?" he asked, sounding a little unsure himself. He wasn't complaining; in fact, he kind of liked the way she felt pressed against him. But he didn't want her to think that was why he was letting her stay there.
I'd glance up at him "Don't get any ideas..." I'd mumble before turning back toward the movie and returning my original position with the side of my head resting against his shoulder
He couldn't help but chuckle softly at her warning. "Wouldn't dream of it," he assured her, even though that was the last thing on his mind right now. As they continued to watch the movie together like this, he found himself growing more and more comfortable with her presence. It was strange; she was his enemy, but somehow being close to her like this made everything else seem unimportant.
I'd flutter my eyes closed in the darkness, eventually falling back to sleep, this time much more comfortable resting against Elias's shoulder
He watched her for a moment before finally letting his own eyes close as well. Sleep claimed him easily, and soon he was dreaming of things that had nothing to do with the girl curled up against him. In his dreams, she wasn't his enemy; she was someone else entirely. Someone who made him feel things he hadn't felt in a long time.
But it was only a dream...
The morning light streamed through the window, waking them both simultaneously. They groaned and rolled over onto their sides, shielding their eyes from the harsh glare. ENEMY | Elias Broker glanced at his phone to check the time; it was almost 8am. They had slept in.
He looked over at Amelia again as she slowly began to stir awake, and something strange flickered across his features. A warmth that he hadn't felt before. But then reality set in, and he pushed the feeling away.
"Hey," he said softly as she blinked blearily up at him. "We should probably get dressed." He gestured toward the door with his chin. "Where going to the beach in an hour, and we don't want to be late again today."
Amelia nodded, her expression distant as she climbed out of bed. "Yeah, you're right." She glanced over at him before quickly looking away again. "Sorry about last night," she muttered. "
I'd say, rolling out of bed and planting my feet on the floor before standing up, still in my night time attire, a pair of lace less gray panties, and a blue crop to
"For what?" he asked innocently as he climbed out of bed himself. "I hardly remember anything that happened." He flashed her a grin before turning to head into the bathroom to get ready for the day. As he brushed his teeth, he couldn't help but wonder why she had apologized. It didn't make any sense; they were enemies after all.
