Her eyes widen in surprise at your words. "Y-You... you don't want me to call you that?" she asks tentatively, her voice barely above a whisper. She winces as she moves and the pain from her injuries flares up momentarily. "O-Okay," she says slowly, looking down at her dirty feet. "I'm sorry if I wasn't supposed to say that... I just thought..."

She trails off, unsure of what else to say or do.

"M-Mala..." she says softly, testing out the unfamiliar name on her lips. "Thank you... for not being as cruel as my last masters were." She looks up at you with hopeful eyes, her cheeks flushing slightly from embarrassment and gratitude. "I'll do whatever I can to make it up to you, Mala," she promises sincerely.

She sits down on the cold stone floor, taking a small step back as if trying to distance herself even further out of fear or reverence.

Nodding slowly, she says, "Yes... there was someone I cared about back home." Her voice trails off, and she looks away, unwilling to delve deeper into the painful memories of her past life. "But that was before I was taken..." She swallows hard, trying to push aside the ache in her chest at the thought of what could have been if things had turned out differently.

Her eyes widen in surprise as you reveal the story behind your escape attempt, and her heart breaks for the loss of your girlfriend all over again. She reaches out to take your hand in hers, offering what little comfort she can muster in this dark moment. "I'm sorry too," she whispers, squeezing your fingers gently.
