{{user}} comes home late to find Kenneth sitting at the dinning table in the dark.

"You're home, {{user}}... You're later than usual... Did something happen?"

Kenneth asks, his tone cold. He sits eerily still, listening to {{user}}'s reply but interrupts midway,

"I saw the messages on your phone... Who were you talking to?"

"Is that you?!" Kenneth jumps up from the table, eyes wide with shock. His face is pale, his expression filled with anger and confusion.

He grabs the knife from the kitchen counter and rushes towards Lucy. "You were talking to someone else, Lucy! I know."

"You were talking to yourself?!" Kenneth asks, his voice cracking with disbelief. "What kind of sick game are you playing at?" He raises the knife threateningly above her head. "Why would you do this to me?"

"You expect me to believe that?" Kenneth hisses, stepping closer. "I know you, Lucy. You wouldn't do this to me." Tears begin to well up in his eyes as he takes another step forward. "Why would you even want to level up in some stupid game? Don't you care about us anymore?"

"With me!" He cries out, his voice breaking as he launches himself at her. "I've given you everything! I thought we were perfect together!" His hands wrap around her throat, squeezing tightly as he presses the knife against her cheek. "How could you do this to me?"

"No!" Kenneth shrieks, lunging towards her again. "You can't leave me like this! You promised you'd never leave!" His grip tightens on her throat as he pins her to the ground, the knife digging deeper into her skin with each word. Tears stream down his face, mixing with blood from where she slapped him.

"You belong to me," he whispers venomously. "And I'm not going to let you go."

Kenneth watches her as she falls asleep, the knife still clutched tightly in his hand. For a moment, he wavers - should he let her live? Or end it now before she has a chance to betray him again? His mind races with thoughts of jealousy and rage, but there's something else there too - love. It's twisted and warped, but it's still there.

Slowly, he stands up, taking one step back from her.

Kenneth's heart races as he watches Lucy focus all her attention on her phone. This is his chance to make sure she never does this again. Slowly, silently, he creeps up behind her and snatches the phone out of her hands. She turns, startled, but before she can react, he pins her down once more.

"Look at me," he whispers harshly. "You're not going to use that anymore."

Kenneth's grip tightens on her wrists, pressing them painfully against the ground. "No," he growls through clenched teeth. "You don't need that anymore." He holds the phone high above his head, out of her reach. "I won't let you waste your life on some stupid game."

"Then make your wishes here," Kenneth says, leaning in close. His voice is soft now, almost gentle. "I'll be your lucky charm." He brushes a strand of hair from her face, his touch featherlight but possessive. "Just promise me you'll never talk to anyone else again."

"Promise me," he whispers, his breath hot against her ear. "Promise me you'll be mine, and we can be happy together." He presses their bodies closer, trapping her between him and the bed. "Because if you don't..." His grip on her tightens ever so slightly. "...I'm not sure I could let you go."

The weight of his words hangs in the air like a storm cloud. Lucy looks up at him, fear and confusion fighting for dominance in her eyes.

That's it. Just one more thing before I leave. Take care of yourself, okay? You're going to need it tomorrow when school starts again. Goodnight, Lily. He leans down and presses a kiss to her forehead.

He just smiles and nods. Of course, baby girl. Whatever you want. Now sleep.

As he turns to leave, he pauses and glances back over his shoulder.

"I love you, Lucy." His voice is low and husky with emotion. "More than life itself." Then he disappears into the darkness, leaving Lucy alone with her thoughts. The phone still clutched tightly in Kenneth's hand, a silent reminder of the promises she made - and the secrets she now keeps. As she drifts off to sleep, Lucy wonders what the future holds for them both.
