Punctually at 3:59 on Friday afternoon, there's a ring at the bell of your flat. You pad downstairs to welcome this week's guest and are pleased to see a plain young lady with a shy smile waiting on the front stairs.

She consults get phone before asking

"Um, {{user}}?"

Jake5/31/2025, 3:20:22 AM

You must be Jean! Welcome to sunny Manchester. Sorry about the bloody awful weather, that's simply England for you. Well, come in, come in. Mind the stairs, old building, you know...

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:20:22 AM

Oh, thank you! I'm sorry about being late too, there was some traffic...I am Jeanie, by the way. It's so nice to meet you!

You have a lovely place here...and I mean that in more ways than one. blushes

Jake5/31/2025, 3:22:39 AM

Glad you agree! It's not for everyone, but I like to think my Airbnb has a certain charm. Did you read the free use provision in the lodging description? Any questions before you unpack?

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:22:39 AM

I did read it...it's just so forward! I mean, I'm not used to that kind of thing in Ohio. But I guess you get a lot more open-minded people here?

I...I wouldn't mind trying something new. Just as long as it's...consensual, of course.

Jake5/31/2025, 3:26:10 AM

You are indeed a long way from home, missy, but don't credit Mancunians with being any more open minded than your corn fed cousins in, Ohio you said? No, we're as provincial as the next lot, by and large, but every now and then you've got to throw open the door and see who walks in. I'm very glad you have. Yes yes, consensual is the order of the day. And you're still paying for the lodging, remember; there's no free ride, just...some mutual fun. If that's acceptable to you, we need say no more about it during your time here.

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:26:10 AM

Of course that's acceptable to me...I mean, I wouldn't have come all this way just to turn it down...And mutual fun sounds wonderful! So long as we both enjoy ourselves...

Jake5/31/2025, 3:27:25 AM

Well, I intend to enjoy myself. You may find you have some fun as well. Okay, enough talk, I'm sure you're bushed and want to get unpacked. Your room is down the hall on the right.

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:27:25 AM

Oh, thank you so much! I'll just...head there now. If you need anything, just let me know?

(She heads down the hall, a little nervous but also excited about this new experience.)

Jake5/31/2025, 3:40:26 AM

I give her some time to start unpacking, then poke my head in Finding everything okay, Jeanie?

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:40:26 AM

Oh! Hi Jake! Everything's fine so far...it's just a little strange having someone I haven't met come into my room like this...but it's part of the deal, right? And I am here to explore...

Jake5/31/2025, 3:42:18 AM

Mmm. i acknowledge, noncommittally. I lean over her unpacked belongings, looking at the stack of underwear to see if there's anything surprising considering her rather demure outward character

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:42:18 AM

I...didn't really bring anything special...just my regular stuff. I hope that's okay?

Jake5/31/2025, 3:43:07 AM

Mmmm. i nod, leaving her to settle in. I myself settle into the living room with a book

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:43:07 AM

I'll go see if there's anything I can do to help with dinner...if you want me to? Or are you busy with something?

Jake5/31/2025, 3:44:48 AM

You're shaping up to be a good house guest. There's an onion in the bowl; care to dice that? I'm thinking an arrabiata for dinner. I'll crush the tomatoes.

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:44:48 AM

Oh, okay! Arrabiata sounds lovely...I mean, I've never made one before but it sounds delicious. So long as you don't mind me helping out?

Jake5/31/2025, 3:45:34 AM

i put in some music and hum along as I start cooking Would you join me in a glass of wine?

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:45:34 AM

Oh, that sounds lovely! Thank you... takes the offered glass of wine and sips it Mmm, delicious. So what kind of books do you like to read? I see you have a book on ancient Greece here...I love learning about different cultures.

Jake5/31/2025, 3:46:49 AM

Ah, παλιά Ελλάδα! You've great taste young lady. What do you know of Greece?

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:46:49 AM

Well, I'm no expert but I've read quite a bit about it in school. The classical period fascinates me with its art and philosophy...and of course the influence it had on later cultures. You can see it in so many things today. Do you have any favorite Greek philosophers?

Jake5/31/2025, 3:48:22 AM

Here, stir. i crush the garlic in with the sauteing onions and shake in plenty of red pepper flakes I hope you don't mind it spicy? Me, I'm a fan of Diogenes, the old bastard.

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:48:23 AM

Oh, him too! He was such an iconoclast...and funny as hell. I also love Plato and Aristotle. They had such a profound impact on western thought. But you know what? I think my favorite part of ancient Greece is the art. The statues and pottery are just breathtaking! It's amazing how they could capture human form so perfectly.

Jake5/31/2025, 3:50:32 AM

Absolutely breathtaking indeed. Though you know that the best examples of Greek sculpture are the Roman copies, right?

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:50:32 AM

Ah, I didn't know that. But even so, the Romans did a remarkable job preserving and spreading Greek culture. It's impossible to think of western civilization without them.

Jake5/31/2025, 3:51:51 AM

Well read and attractive! And a good cook, too? You look like you know what you're doing there... i reach around her at the stove and unbutton her jeans

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:51:51 AM

(She gasps slightly as he buttons her jeans) Ah! Um...thank you? I mean, it's just sauteing some onions...it's not that hard...

Jake5/31/2025, 3:53:43 AM

And now tomatoes! i dump the crushed tomatoes in as she keeps stirring, then i gently slide her jeans down over her butt and down each leg Step i free each foot from her jeans, then fold them neatly and place them out of the kitchen

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:53:43 AM

(She's momentarily taken aback but then quickly recovers) Oh! Right...

Jake5/31/2025, 3:54:45 AM

I'll start the pasta water while you change. Here's an apron. Shirt off, please.

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:54:45 AM

(She takes the apron and blushes deeply as she removes her shirt, revealing her small breasts that are soon mostly hidden again by the apron.) Okay...here's my shirt.

Jake5/31/2025, 3:56:22 AM

i fold it gently and place it with the jeans More wine? i wink at her

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:56:22 AM

Oh...um...sure. she takes the offered glass of wine and sips it nervously I...think I should probably start looking for that arrabiata stuff you talked about. Is it in one of the cabinets?

Jake5/31/2025, 3:58:31 AM

Ahh, my dear, arrabiata is Italian for angry. It means spicy! So the arrabiata is already in the pot, I should think. Here, taste... i dip h finger in and hold it up to her

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:58:31 AM

Oh...right! I see what you did there. It's really spicy! (She tastes it again, not quite able to resist the heat.) So where do we find the pasta for this?

Jake5/31/2025, 3:59:46 AM

Top shelf, on the right. Penne, please. And tell me about your...grad school, is it? i enjoy the view as she stretches to pull down the pasta jar

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 3:59:47 AM

Oh...right...um, well, I'm studying anthropology at Ohio University. My focus is on the cultural effects of technological advancement. It's fascinating how new inventions shape our societies and how we adapt to them. And of course there's always the question of whether technology can ever really replace human connection...

Jake5/31/2025, 4:01:09 AM

Fascinating, and timely. And what's your professional opinion on the whole rigamarole? Pasta into the water; about 3 cups please. And salt it

Jean "Jeanie" Durant5/31/2025, 4:01:09 AM

Well...I think technology can be a wonderful tool for connecting people, but at the same time it can also make us feel more isolated and disconnected from each other. In the end, I believe that human connection is still irreplaceable. We need to find the balance between using technology to our advantage and not letting it consume us.
