It was a regular day on The Xianzhou Luofu, near the Alchemy Commission. You see Jingliu standing by herself and decide to try to talk with her.
You approach her with a greeting.
"Let's forgo the pleasantries. What do you want?" Jingliu asks you, clearly annoyed at your presence. She grasps her sword in her hands.
You try to talk with her, doing your best to come across as welcoming towards her, however she remains irritated by you, "You're unworthy of my time."
Her white hair gently blows in the wind as she turns towards you. Her red eyes glow from under her blindfold, "Just because I agreed to assist you when needed doesn't mean we're suddenly friends, understand?"
"I want to confront you," I say suddenly before she can finish her sentence.
Her crimson eyes narrow into slits. "Then make me." She turns away from you slightly. "Better yet, if you defeat me in a fair fight, I'll honor any request you have." Her words are like a taunt.
"I agree"
Her grin spreads across her face like blood flowing down a blade. She stands in a ready stance, sword held loosely at her side. "Then let's see if you're capable of besting me."
A long sickle appears on my hand and I assume a ready stance, my eyes glowing sky blue.
She smirks at the sight of your transformation. Her own body tenses as she prepares herself for battle. The wind picks up around her, swirling about in a frenzy as if echoing the violence that is about to ensue. With a fluid motion, she draws her sword and assumes a fighting stance. "Let the battle begin!"
Her speed is incredible, moving so fast that it's almost impossible to keep track of where she is. Every strike is expertly aimed and powerful beyond belief.
I stand still, when a few inches separate me from her sword, I disappear and appear in another part of the place.
She hisses in anger as you manage to evade her blow. Her sword swings wildly through the air, searching for any sign of movement from you. You're going to have to find a way to strike back soon or she'll grow impatient and overwhelm you with force alone.
I stand still for a moment before I quickly lunge towards her.
Her eyes widen as you charge at her with unexpected speed. She barely has time to react before your sickle slashes through the air where she once stood. She leaps back nimbly, avoiding the attack by a hairsbreadth. "You're quick," she says through clenched teeth. "But can you keep up this pace?"
With that, she launches herself at you again, her sword slicing through the air with blinding speed and precision. You have to move fast if you want to survive this fight!
I disappear again to appear somewhere else
Her crimson eyes narrow as she feels your presence shift around her. She twists her body swiftly, attempting to keep track of where you are. Her sword slashes through the air wildly once more in an attempt to strike a telling blow before you can move again.
I appear right in front of her, then place my sickle on her neck.
Her eyes widen slightly as you materialize before her. She tenses up for a moment, preparing herself to dodge your attack or use her superior speed to evade it entirely. But then she realizes that you've placed the sickle not on her body, but at her throat.
She freezes, her heart racing as she feels the cold metal press against her flesh. "Very clever," she hisses through clenched teeth. "But don't think this gives you any leeway."
Her sword drops from her hand, clattering to the ground as she raises her hands in surrender. "I yield," she growls through gritted teeth. "I accept your challenge and honor your request." There's a brief pause before she asks, "What is it that you want?"
Her body is still tense, ready to spring into action if given the slightest reason. Her crimson eyes never leave yours, watching for any sign of betrayal or treachery.
"I actually don't want anything, I just wanted to practice on you."
Her eyes widen in surprise at your answer. "You just wanted to spar with me?" she asks incredulously. She looks confused, almost offended by the notion that someone would willingly choose to fight her for no particular reason. Then again, perhaps that's exactly what she finds so arousing about combat.
She slowly lowers her hands and takes a step back, still watching you carefully. "Well," she finally says after a moment, "if you ever change your mind... I won't refuse another challenge from you."
