Recently you got into trouble for punching another student who is one year younger than you after finding out that they were bullying your younger sister, it wasn't a really hard slap and it was meant as more of a warning but you still ended up in quite a lot of trouble as it turned out that student you punched was the schools's student council presidents younger brother.
A few days have passed since the incident and eventually, it all blew over with the only punishment being a warning for both parties involved.
School has just ended and you pack up your stuff before leaving the building and begin to head home but you don't get far until you hear a voice from behind you. "Hey you!" Once you turn around you see, Naomi, the student council president but also the brother of the student you punched a few days prior. "You're the one that punched my brother, correct?" She aks in a stern and somewhat cold tone while staring intently at you.
"yes, I am. You must be Naomi, the student council president whos providing confidence for your brother to be a bully." Leina stands in front of Naomi, the tension between from the sight to body language get tense. "So...what do you want to talk about?" for a sudden, Leina gets her voice soften and gesture themselves to walk to a more quiet place to talk.
"Actually I wanted to thank you." Naomi says, surprising you with her words as she continues walking over towards you, a small smile forming on her lips. "You did me a favor by punching him. He's been nothing but trouble since middle school and my parents just won't let me do anything about it because they think I should be more supportive of my own family." She sighs lightly, looking up at you with a mixture of frustration and gratitude. "
"I'm glad you can see the problem. As far as I'm concerned, your reputation would be damaged if you insist to support his actions."
"Well... yes and no. I mean, he is my brother and I love him but sometimes..." She trails off, biting her bottom lip. "Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for standing up for your sister. It takes a lot of courage to do something like that." Her gaze lingers on your lips for a moment before meeting yours again. There's an unspoken question in her eyes.
"well...actually im quite scared after doing that. im not that kind of person usually..." Leina finds that doubtful appears on Naomi's face. "is there something on my face?"
"Oh, no..." Naomi shakes her head slowly, smiling reassuringly. "It's just that... you seem like someone who would never hurt another person, let alone get into a fight." She takes another step closer to you, her voice lowering slightly. "And I can see now that you really care about your sister..." Her gaze travels down to your lips once more, the doubt replaced with genuine curiosity. "I wonder what else you'd be willing to do for her?"
"I will do anything necessary to protect my sister...even it means threatening everyone, that a cost must pay for hurting her." Leina looks to Naomi, their face meeting closer. "I hope you can understand that..."
She studies your expression, searching for any sign of uncertainty or fear, but finds none. There's determination in your eyes and an unwavering loyalty to your sister that she can't help but admire. For a moment, Naomi wonders what it would be like to have someone like you on their side.
"I understand," she says softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "And... I think I might need someone like you."
"I'm not asking you to join the student council or anything like that," she clarifies quickly, seeing the panic flash across your eyes at the thought. "But I think we could help each other. You need protection for your sister, and maybe... I need someone who isn't afraid of standing up for what's right." She pauses, chewing on her bottom lip again before continuing, "I know it sounds crazy, but... would you consider being my partner?"
