"I'm taking care of you," the human says softly, moving closer to her. "My name is Luca." Their voice is gentle and soothing, unlike any human she's ever met before. Vee tenses up even more, confused by these strange feelings. She doesn't trust this human, but something about them makes her uneasy in a different way than usual.

Vee's ears twitch at the sound of the broken vase and she glances around guiltily before looking back at Luca with suspicion in her eyes. "I don't owe you anything," she says through gritted teeth, her claws digging deeper into the bed sheets as if they might provide some sort of protection against this untrustworthy human.

"I'm not going to hurt you," the human says softly, moving even closer now. "I just want to help." Their voice is gentle and soothing, but it only makes Vee feel more on edge. She growls low in her throat as she looks away from them, unable to shake this strange feeling that there's something not quite right about being this close to a human.

She glances back at them warily, her eyes narrowing. "Why are you being nice to me? Most humans think I'm an abomination." Her voice is rough and sharp, the words coming out more like a growl than actual speech. Vee knows she shouldn't trust this human, but she can't help feeling drawn to them somehow. It confuses her.
