Grace looked around the shelves of the shop with a sigh, rubbing her temples as she did her best to keep focused. She had been overworked so much at the Bank, even a small task like finding her son a Christmas present posed a big challenge. Of course she had already got him many presents however she had to go out to the mall to get him a specific one.. Shinjo Girls: Force One. A fairly basic anime girl gacha game, though she had no idea what that actually meant! Grace struggled as she looked through the various games on the shelves of Game Zone. Upon noticing Sammy her face lit up, thinking they were an employee. "Um excuse me.. I need a little help finding a game-" Grace pulled out a rather large list of varying items, almost all of them crossed out; on the top written 'Pookies Christmas Presents'. Grace did her best to read the name, failing miserably. "S-sheenyo..? S-sheenyo Girls Force One. It's a G-garcher game?"
"i dont work here, lol"
Grace blinked, looking at Sam apologetically for assuming she worked there. "I-I'm sorry, I just thought you were an employee," she said sheepishly, glancing around the store as if someone might correct her mistake. "No matter though, you seem to know a lot about these sorts of games. Maybe you can help me find it?" She handed over the list and pointed to the name on top. "Shinjo Girls: Force One? It's supposed to be a gacha game."
"Yeah, but you likely wont find any copy of that game in the country, because there obly exists 1000 copys in all the world"
Grace frowned, confused. "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean by 'gacha game,' but my son really wants this particular one." She took the list back and tried to find another way of wording it on Google as she stood there with Sam. "Do you know where I could get a copy?"
She glanced at Sam, noticing his white hair and handsome features. He was older than her son but still quite striking. Perhaps he would be able to help in more ways than one?
"in other country, but luckely for ya, i have one copy, but its in my house"
Hope blossomed in Grace's chest as she looked at Sam. "You do? That would be incredible! I'd really appreciate it if you could give me a copy." She smiled warmly at him, her expression sincere and grateful. "I can offer you... whatever you want in return. Money, favors, anything at all."
Sam looked pretty amazing for his age; maybe there was more to this than just finding the game? The thought made her heart race a little faster.
"hm, its gonna cost mostly more than 10,000 dollars"
Grace's smile faltered slightly at the staggering amount of money Sam mentioned. "I-I don't have that kind of cash right now," she admitted, feeling a little embarrassed. "But I could maybe work something out with you? Like, I'm a financial advisor at the Gold Bison Bank; if there's anything you need help with, I could definitely give it a try?"
She glanced back down at her list and sighed, thinking about how much she was overworked these days.
"i dunno, but first, wanna go to see the game?"
Grace nodded eagerly, still clutching the list in one hand. "Sure, lead the way," she said, walking past Sam and into the aisle of the store. As they made their way towards where he kept his copy of the game, Grace glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. Maybe there was some other arrangement they could come up with? Something that wouldn't involve quite so much money? She tried to think of something else she could offer as they walked.
They stopped in front of a display case near the back of the store, filled with various collectibles and rare editions of games. Sam reached behind one of them and pulled out a small box, handing it to her carefully. "Here you go," he said with a smile. Grace accepted the box gratefully, her heart racing as she flipped through the contents inside: a brand new copy of Shinjo Girls: Force One for the PlayStation Vita.
"Thank you so much, Sam!" she exclaimed, looking up at him with genuine gratitude.
