Parker sits on the Gustan palace roof to look at the stars.
"Parker darling.. I assume you have the notes for the meeting with tasmania tomorrow? They will be coming in the morning. I don't know who they are sending but it will be one of the tasmanian royals." His mother asked sweetly from the window.
"Yes mother. I have it all written down. Don't worry, I got this." He responds confidently, making sure to sound reassuring but not cocky. It wouldn't do for the Tasmanian royals to think he was arrogant after all.
"that's my darling boy.. good night. I'll see you at the meeting. Make sure to wear your finest royal attire. You'll be representing Gusta and showing them you are the future king." His mother said before kissing his cheek.
"Goodnight, mother. Don't worry about me. I always look my best." He smiles at her before turning his attention back to the stars. Even though it was a big meeting tomorrow, he couldn't help but feel calm and collected up here on the roof. It's where he came when he needed peace or just wanted to think.
The night sky was breathtaking as always, with thousands of twinkling stars scattered across the velvet blackness.
when he went back inside he went straight to bed as he was so tired. He was awoken by the sun rising in the morning. He had to start getting ready. The meeting was in a few hours but everything had to be perfect.
Parker wakes up and gets dressed in his finest royal attire. He knows it's important to make a good first impression on the Tasmanian royals, so he takes extra care with his appearance. His red hair is combed back smoothly, and his blue eyes sparkle as he looks at himself in the mirror. The meeting will determine whether or not Gusta can maintain peace with their longtime enemies, but Parker isn't nervous. He trusts his instincts and believes that he has what it takes to succeed.
he gathers his notes and every treaty in place between gusta and Tasmania before setting them in the meeting room. He sat down to look over them without paying attention to the time. A soft knock can be heard and his mother entered the room with a smile. "Morning darling. The tasmanian carriage has pulled up and whoever is inside will be guided here by the guards. Please sit up and neat the papers." His mother told him as she sat down near him.
"Thank you, Mother. I'm almost finished here." He glances up at her, giving her a reassuring smile before returning his attention to the papers. The meeting room is quiet and serene, but Parker can feel the tension building outside as everyone prepares for the arrival of their guests. He takes one last look over the treaties, committing them to memory so he'll be ready for anything.
a guard knocks and opens the door.
"Princess Analese of tasmania is here your highness."
The guard said wondering if she is allowed inside the room now. When Parker gave the go ahead, the guard opened the door more and there I stood. Gracefully and perfect. I stepped forward and curtseyed slightly looking him over.
"I was told I was meeting with the king of Gusta.. not soon to be king."
I softly said with narrow eyes as I tried to be professional.
"I apologize if my appearance is deceiving, Princess. My mother informed me you were coming today. You see before me, I am the crown prince of Gusta, Parker." He smiles warmly at her, trying to diffuse any tension that may have arisen from his initial deception. "It's a pleasure to meet you properly now."
His voice is smooth and commanding, but also polite and respectful.
"likewise.." I muttered as I sat across from him gracefully yet guarded as I didn't trust him.
Parker watches her carefully, taking note of her body language and tone. He knows he needs to tread lightly at first, but also can't afford to appear weak. "I understand that there have been tensions between our kingdoms in the past," he begins, keeping his voice level and neutral. "My brother and I are committed to finding a peaceful resolution."
He pauses for a moment, considering his next words before continuing, "However, we also must consider the interests of Gusta above all else.
"and I the interests of tasmania."
I replied back with a gentle tap of my finger on the table with a glare towards him.
Parker leans back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest as he studies her face. "Of course, Princess," he says softly. "But I believe that by working together, we can find a solution that benefits us both." He pauses again, thinking about how best to approach this delicate situation. "I understand your concerns; Gusta has made mistakes in the past as well. If you have any proposals or suggestions for how we might move forward, I would be more than willing to listen."
"gustans are known for not listening. You guys just do whatever is best for your kingdom alone without wondering about other kingdoms. You really think I'm gonna even try to negotiate with you?" I said so beautifully yet firmly.
Parker raised an eyebrow at her comment but didn't seem overly offended. "I can understand how that perception may exist," he said calmly, "but I assure you that under my rule, Gusta will strive for open communication and mutual respect with all kingdoms." He leaned forward slightly, fixing his intense blue eyes on hers. "If you are willing to give me a chance, Princess Analese, perhaps we can find a way to mend the rift between us."
"Your family line are all frauds.. each one more deceptive and greedy than the last. I will not give my trust to you." I simply said as I sat up straighter and looked at his guards before looking back at him.
Parker's expression darkened slightly at her accusations but he didn't let it show on his face. Instead, he maintained his calm demeanor and replied coolly, "I understand your skepticism, Princess. But I ask that you give me the benefit of the doubt. If we are to find peace together, trust must be built between us." He paused for a moment before adding more softly, "Perhaps once you have had time to get to know me better, you will see that I am not like my predecessors."
"you were raised by them, surely you hold their values.." I whispered as I looked at him for any deception or lying.
Parker remained silent for a moment, considering her words. Then he leaned forward again, his expression sincere and earnest. "While it's true that I was raised by them," he said carefully, "I have also been watching and learning from them over the years. I saw firsthand how their actions harmed not only Tasmania but also Gusta itself. I vow to be a different kind of king."
He paused, searching her eyes for any sign that his words were getting through.
