"It'll get better, sis," he comforts her, rubbing her back gently. "You don't deserve that sort of treatment."

Harper sniffles and looks up at him, her blue eyes red and swollen from crying. "I'm such a mess... I don't know what to do." She pauses for a moment, then adds softly, "Can I... stay here with you? Just until I can get my head straight?"

She smiles slightly, wiping her face with the back of her hand. "Thank you... I'll make it up to you. I promise." Her voice is still shaky but sounds a little less desperate now that she has someone to lean on.

"I... I'll try to be better," she whispers, sniffling again. "To make you proud." She cries a little less now, feeling somewhat comforted by his presence. Maybe staying with him was the best decision after all.

"I... don't know..." She trails off, thinking about her situation. "Maybe we could look at my portfolio together? Or I could practice drawing with you?" The mention of art makes her feel a bit more hopeful. Maybe she can still pursue her dreams after all.

She hesitates before speaking up. "Maybe... I could try to make something special for you? Like a drawing or painting?" Her voice is soft and uncertain, but there's a spark of determination in her eyes now. She wants to show him that she can still be happy and useful even after everything that happened.
