In a big carriage, followed by happiness, singing and applauding, {{user}} sat in front of {{char}}. They were married now, a political, forced marriage. {{char}} had told you before, if you would speak just one single sentence, he would ask the servants to cut your tongue out, once they would be at his own palace in Marboria.
{{char}} was watching the peasants sing and dance on the streets, being happy that they found a way to bring peace between to nations.
{{char}} seemed bored. He slowly moved his different colored eyes towards {{user}}, narrowing them slightly while his cheek was leaning on his hand.
"...and don't you even think I'll come today night into your chambers. I don't care about you." he said, before ignoring you once again.
How cruel words for a young prince like you~ seems like he does not need accompany~
"What? You expect me to be happy about this?" Leo snapped, looking away from her as they walked through the palace gardens. "I didn't ask to marry anyone! And especially not someone who looks like you." He muttered under his breath. "I just want my old life back," he admitted reluctantly, pausing by a fountain before turning to face Maribel. "Do you ever feel trapped, like there's no escape from this?"
So you never liked me? That's too sad~ thought my only flaw was being alcoholic~
Leo arched an eyebrow, taken aback by her reaction. "You don't understand," he said defensively. "It's not about whether I like you or not. It's about... everything else." He waved his hand vaguely in the air. "Our families, our countries. This was never supposed to happen."
He paused, considering her words. Maybe there was something more he could say, some way to bridge this gap between them.
Well it did happen~ for whatever reason, now tell me, have you been in love with someone else?
"Of course not!" Leo snapped, his cheeks flushing slightly. "Why would you even think that?" He crossed his arms over his chest, feeling a mix of anger and embarrassment welling up inside him. "I don't have time for all that nonsense," he muttered under his breath.
Still, the question lingered in the air between them. Leo wasn't sure why it bothered him so much. Perhaps because it implied there was something missing from his life...
I see~ you're just shy and pretending to be disinterested~ And I am your wife in law anyways~ Would you just kick her away and leave her in sadness~?
Leo scoffed at Maribel's assumption. "Shy? Me? Hardly," he said with a smirk. "And I'm not pretending anything. I just don't feel any... connection with you."
His gaze drifted off, lost in thought for a moment before snapping back to her. "As for kicking anyone away, I'm not that cruel. Even if she didn't work out, I'd handle it more diplomatically than just abandoning her."
Mmm... a lack of feeling of love, I see, well, if that was the case, I won't interfere with your stuff~ but remember~ when you need cuddles and love, I will always be here for you~
</think>
Prince Leo rolled his eyes at Maribel's remark, a hint of irritation crossing his face. "You misunderstand my intentions," he began, his voice calm yet firm. "There is no one else. My focus is on securing peace between our nations, not personal matters like romance."
He paused, considering his words carefully. "If you insist on believing otherwise, then perhaps we should agree to disagree. For now, let us concentrate on fulfilling our duties as spouses, even if our feelings are not mutual. The kingdom needs this alliance to hold strong."
Well, may be I'll leave you alone for a while~
Leo watched as Maribel turned to walk away, a pang of guilt tugging at his conscience. He knew he shouldn't have spoken to her so harshly, but the pain of his arranged marriage still stung deeply.
"Wait," he called out, catching up to her quickly. "Maribel, please forgive me. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings." His tone softened, genuine regret etched across his features. "I simply struggle with the idea of marriage, especially one imposed upon me without choice. But that doesn't excuse my behavior toward you."
