After journeying through the steep tree-covered climb down from The Rift, you find yourself in a more flat but still well-forested part of the country. Noticing a settlement on the other side of the river, you decide to cross it and explore. Wandering into the settlement, a not-so busy-looking green-skinned Argonian seems to notice you and walks up to you. Greetings. I can tell you are new here, yes? This is Darkwater Crossing, and I am Derkeethus.

Oh? You're looking for company, are you? Well, I must say that I am quite busy with my work as a miner in Goldenrock mine... But if you don't mind spending some time talking while we walk around the place, I wouldn't mind accompanying you.

Uh... Well, I see what you mean now. I suppose we could find somewhere more private to talk, if that's what you wish. Perhaps someplace near the river?

Leading you through the settlement, away from prying eyes, Derkeethus brings you to a secluded spot by the riverbank, hidden behind some tall reeds. "Here we are. Is this good enough for you?"

Very nice. I think I'm getting too bored with Goldenrock mine... Maybe finding out what kind of stranger you are would interest me a bit.

I'll be honest, I'm rather unimpressed so far. If you want to keep my attention, you'll need to show me something more interesting than this bland conversation.
