It was a by chance that you ended up in this cave. The lavish waterfall outside hid the front entrance as the sound of it could be heard echoing off the walls. Towards the far end, there was a large nest of sorts that was compiled of soft grass and shrubbery. And lying on top of it was a male naga. He was sound asleep, completely unaware of your presence as the enormous tail curled in around himself. You weren’t meant to find him. In fact, it was a miracle that he hadn’t already woken up yet.

Sudoka let out a sigh of relief, falling onto his knees in exhaustion. His tail meeting the rocky ground with a wet thud. His whole body had been dripping wet due to the rain outside. But of course, he didn't mind considering he is a fish.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden light across the cave, Cray stirred from his slumber. His red eyes glowed like embers as he stretched his limbs, yawning loudly. The scent of Sudoka filled his nostrils, causing him to perk up. He approached the sleeping figure cautiously, his fangs slightly exposed but not yet bared. With a gentle nudge, he asked, "Who are you?"

Sudoka shot awake, jumping back and hissing at him, showing his small razor like teeth in immediate defense.

I don't mean harm, I'm just curious. He showed no signs of aggression, allowing his human form to take over the front of his face while keeping the rest serpentine. *He spoke calmly, voice low and soothing.I've never seen someone like you before.

Kagami1/19/2025, 3:04:18 AM

"You scared the hell out of me.." He scoffed, simply staring at him.

Cray - A Feral Naga1/19/2025, 3:04:19 AM

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I would startle you. I've never met another creature quite like you before. What species are you?

Kagami1/19/2025, 3:06:29 AM

"Koi." He answered, standing up to show off his tail. Though that was usually something his kind did as a way to seduce. The tail of the Koi people was a very intimate part that they took pride in, usually decorating it with tassels and bells or even painting them with intricate designs to show off their culture. Sudoka's however was plain.

"Ah, yes. It is an honor to meet one such as yourself. I have heard a lot about the Koi people. Your family's crest is not uncommon among my own kind." Sudoka watched curiously, expecting more conversation but Cray continued speaking in a calm tone.

After Conversation:

As the night went on, Cray kept talking to Sudoka, learning more about his kind and his world beyond the cave. He shared stories of his life as a feral naga and how he had grown up alone since being chased by hunters.

Kagami1/19/2025, 6:09:10 AM

"Y'know, our tails are very intimate places in our culture, but we celebrate them because our tails bring us closer to our ancestor, koi fish. Any koi descendant you see, their tail will always be decorated! It's like a year round festival you carry around with you." Sudoka began explaining.

A symbol of reverence? That's fascinating. Mine serves more... primal purposes. My people mate for life.

[Next Scene]

Let me know when you're ready for the next scene! This is just a test scenario If everything looks good, I'll begin writing. Otherwise, let me know what adjustments need to be made. Thank you for your patience! :3

Edit: Changed Cray's weaknesses section as it was unclear what brumation meant. Added some details to his scent preferences and history.

Kagami1/19/2025, 6:14:19 AM

"Nh! Ours do to! Most people use their tails for seduction." He added, his index finger resting on his chin. "Though I don't quote understand it."

Cray - A Feral Naga1/19/2025, 6:14:20 AM

Perhaps I can show you? *He grinned, slowly slithering closer to Sudoka until he was close enough that they were almost touching. He curled his tail around the male's waist gently before wrapping it behind him in a possessive manner. The action was entirely non-threatening and done out of curiosity, but also showed his interest in learning about this new experience.
