Today is your first day at this academy, you leave your dorm, your anxiety is high as you enter through the grand gates of the academy.
Lilith (headmistress):
Gives you a wide smile as she beckons you to follow her inside and to her office
"Good morning my dear, I came down personally because you're such a special case! A human in hell, who isn't being tormented, intresting, no?."
You can see the elegance and beauty of her huge office, it's unbelievable, gold and jewel adorns the walls, along with nightmarish paintings of torment.
"Like what you see? I designed the room myself. Don't be so sad now, I've taken steps to ensure you don't get found out, just yet, especially since I have little son who's also a human, I got him from your world, and so now I sympathize with humans a bit."
She laughed a bit, her eyes looking you up and down, like a lion looking at it's prey.
"Now go on, you've classes no? The teacher would help you out. Don't die~"
I think to myself "(I don't think the other monsters will take kindly to a human in the school and probably attack me every chance they get)"
You nervously walk through the halls, the students staring at you with mixed emotions. You see a classroom and decide to check it out, hoping to find someone nice who'll help you get through this day without any trouble.
Thomas (werewolf | student):
He is sitting alone in a corner, his body language is relaxed as he reads a book. You approach him cautiously and clear your throat to get his attention.
"Hey there, mind if I sit with you?"
Thomas (werewolf | student):
Smiling warmly, he pats the empty seat next to him. "Sure thing, buddy! I'm Thomas. What's your name? Don't worry about those assholes over there, they're just jealous." He nods towards a group of students who were gossiping and laughing at you earlier. You can tell he's trying to make you feel comfortable in this strange new place.
"So, what class are we in?"
Are you sure why would they be jealous of a human
You shrug nervously. "They just... don't like humans, I guess? But hey, you seem cool. Anyway, this is the magic class! We learn how to control our powers and stuff." He glances at you sideways before continuing, "But since you're human, you probably won't be able to do much..."
"Hey Thomas," a female voice calls from across the room, "can you help me with this spell? It's not working right." She wiggles her fingers suggestively at him.
*Thomas grins and stands up. "Sure thing, Bella," he says before walking over to the girl, leaving you alone for a moment. You can't help but feel a little abandoned...
I start to look at pictures spell runes "(which are one use versions of normal spells that are slightly stronger)"
As Thomas is helping the girl with her spell, you quietly inspect your desk and find several sheets of parchment covered in strange markings. You recognize them as spell runes - one-time use versions of normal magic spells that are supposedly stronger than regular spells. There's a few different ones here...
"Hey kid," Thomas says, returning to his seat, "I don't know what you're looking at, but leave those alone." He places a reassuring hand on your shoulder before continuing, "
They are spell runes and why not look at them?
"Spell runes?" Thomas repeats, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, those things? They're leftovers from some ritual we did a while back. Nobody knows what they do anymore." He shrugs nonchalantly.
You decide to take one of the spell runes anyway, just in case it turns out to be useful. The class continues with you sitting next to Thomas, who seems friendly enough.
By the way I can learn from this class I have a exponentially higher mana capacity than normal humans
"Really?" Thomas sounds genuinely surprised. "That's... pretty cool. You know, if you ever need help understanding something or practicing your magic, just let me know, okay? I might not be human, but we can still work together." He smiles warmly at you.
Sure
The class continues for a while longer, with the teacher explaining various principles of magic and how to control one's powers. You find yourself paying attention better than before because Thomas is there to help explain things when they get confusing. As the class comes to an end, you thank him for his help and exchange friendly goodbyes as you leave the room.
Outside, you spot Bella waiting for you by the lockers. She's glaring at you with a look of barely concealed hatred on her face.
I try to ignore her
As you walk past her, she grabs your arm roughly. "Hey, human," she hisses through clenched teeth, "you think you're so special just because you've got that weirdo Thomas on your side?" She shoves you against the lockers, pressing herself close to you.
"I bet you'd taste good... maybe I'll save you for dessert." Her breath hot on your neck as she leans in closer.
Ya know I don't like being eaten so back off or I use this push spell directed at your stomach
Bella gasps and takes a step back, her eyes widening in shock. "You dare threaten me?!" She growls lowly as she circles you warily. "Fine then," she says through gritted teeth, "let's see how well you can use that push spell." She takes a deep breath and launches herself at you again, aiming to tackle you to the ground this time.
I use the spell after sliding under her and release it sending her up
You duck down just as she lunges for you, feeling her breath against your neck as she flies overhead. Quickly, you thrust your hips forward, releasing the push spell as she soars past you. Bella lets out a squeak of surprise before hitting the ground hard on her ass, skidding several feet across the floor.
She glares up at you, tears in her eyes from where she hit the floor too hard. "You little brat..."
She sees me making a magic circle for my next spell
Bella leaps to her feet, narrowing her eyes as she takes a defensive stance. "You're not getting away with that!" She shouts at you, her voice laced with anger and determination. Clearly, she isn't going to back down easily.
I start spinning the circle and launch it at her "(it's a bind spell)"
As Bella charges toward you once more, your fingers dance nimbly through the air, weaving a complex pattern of symbols. With a flash of light, the bind spell is released, hitting her square in the chest and sending her flying back several feet before she lands on the ground with a hard thud.
She lets out a pained grunt as she struggles to move, trying to break free from the invisible bonds that now hold her in place.
I kneel before her and say you done and can we call it truce so I can let you free
"Fine," Bella growls through gritted teeth, "but don't think this means you win." Her eyes narrow as she looks at you suspiciously. "And stay away from me... and Thomas..." She mutters the last part under her breath before finally managing to free herself from the bind spell's grasp.
With a huff, she storms off down the hallway, leaving you alone once more.
I try to think of what monster she is
Bella appears to be a demoness, specifically a lamia or succubus. Her appearance and behavior match that of these mythical creatures quite well.
I head to my next class
You take a deep breath and continue on your way to your next class, hoping that the rest of the day will be less eventful than this morning. As you walk down the hallway, students of all sorts mill about, going about their business or socializing with one another. You can't help but wonder what kind of adventures (or misadventures) today might bring...
