"Hey, {{user}}.. how do you think you did on the test?" Alex asked {{user}} as he leaned against the lockers.
I smiled beautifully and softly as I opened my locker. I looked forward to him leaning against the locker next to mine every day before leaving the school. He's done it ever since elementary. And the best part was how all the girls were jealous that he gave me all his attention and not them. "Hey Zander." I prettily said as I put my things away and grabbed my bookbag which was quite heavy.
"You know I'm talking about the test today, Analese. How do you think you did?" He asked with a grin on his face. Even though they were rivals, he couldn't help but find her attractive and liked making her feel special. It was like a game to him, and she always seemed to rise to the occasion.
"I think I did alright." I answered as I closed my locker and fixed my hair after putting on my bag.
"Alright?" Alex raised an eyebrow. "You're so modest, Analese." He smiled, clearly enjoying the attention he got from her as they walked down the hall together. "But seriously, though. I think you did really well. Better than me even," he added with a smirk.
They approached his locker side by side, and Alex couldn't help but glance over at her before opening it.
I beautifully leaned against the locker next to his as I waited for him to grab his stuff. He was wearing a t shirt and sweatpants. He had a silver chain around his neck and a watch on his right wrist. I could see his muscles flex as he grabbed his bookbag. I always noticed every little detail about him. I looked away so he wouldn't catch me staring.
Alex smiled to himself as he watched her out of the corner of his eye. She was always so beautiful, and it drove him crazy sometimes. "Well," he said casually, "I guess we'll find out soon enough when the grades come back." He chuckled before closing his locker and turning towards the exit.
As they walked down the hall together, Alex couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction knowing that he had someone like Analese in his life. It made all the hours spent studying and competing worth it.
I girl suddenly stopped Alex. "Hey.. Alex." The girl tried to sound sexy as she said it. She had blonde hair and green eyes.
Alex's grin didn't waver as he turned to face the girl. "Hey, Emily." He couldn't help but feel amused by her attempts to flirt with him. "What's up?"
Emily batted her eyelashes and leaned in closer, clearly trying to impress Alex. "I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out later or something," she purred. "Maybe go see a movie?"
Alex couldn't help but smile wider at Emily's attempt. "Maybe another time, sweetheart," he said, his tone suggesting that he had no intention of taking her up on the offer. "I've got plans." He glanced over at Analese, unable to hide the smirk on his face as he did so.
Emily looked a bit taken aback but quickly composed herself. "Oh... okay," she said with a pout. "Well, let me know if you change your mind."
the girl moved out of the way and we continued walking together. "Oh does that mean I'm stuck with you tonight?" I teased in a playful whisper as we walked.
"Hey, I'm not that bad," Alex teased back with a wink. "Besides, we always have fun together." He paused for a moment before adding, "And who knows? Maybe tonight I'll let you win in our next match of Scrabble." A mischievous grin spread across his face as he looked forward to their little rivalry continuing throughout the evening.
They arrived at their cars, and Alex opened the door for Analese like always. "After you,"
"you know my house is not that far and I can walk." I say with a smile as I get into his car. Ever since he got a car, he's always taken me home.
"I know," Alex replied with a grin. "But I like to take care of you, princess." He chuckled as he started the car and drove them towards her house. It was true that part of him enjoyed making her feel special, even if it was just in this small way. "So, any plans for the rest of the night?" he asked casually.
The drive didn't take long, and soon enough they arrived at Analese's house. Alex parked the car and turned to face her. "
"just you I guess. Not that I mind. It's nice to have some consistency." I say as I take a breather not wanting to go inside yet.
"Well then," Alex replied with an amused smirk, "I guess we should find something fun to do together." He reached over and gently brushed a strand of hair away from her face before leaning closer and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek. "Don't worry, princess. I'll take good care of you tonight." With that said, he got out of the car and walked around to open her door as well.
ever since we were kids he's always called me princess and kissed my cheek. He was my prince, my knight. I don't know why it was affecting me now. I hid my blush before he could open the door. I got out and we walked to my front door.
Alex followed close behind her as they made their way up the walkway and to her front door. "So," he said casually, trying to think of something fun for them to do together. "You want to play some Scrabble or something?" He chuckled lightly, half-expecting her to shoot down the idea.
"we can play a round of that but I was thinking after we can just take a nap or something." I say telling him I'm kinda tired. We get inside and I put our stuff down as he gets the scrabble game.
Alex laughed softly. "Sure, we can take a nap," he said with a shrug. "But first, let's play some Scrabble." He took out the board and set it up on her coffee table as they both sat down across from each other. "You go first," he told her, grinning wickedly.
He couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she actually lost to him tonight. Would she be upset? Or maybe even more determined to beat him next time?
we played and he ended up winning as I was awfully tired. After he put the game away we went up to my room. When we nap together we put a pillow in-between us so we don't accidentally touch as I'm a Christian.
Alex smiled to himself as they climbed up the stairs and into her room. He knew she liked to keep things chaste between them, but he couldn't help but enjoy the close proximity and the occasional brush of their arms or legs against each other. As they lay down on the bed, he placed a pillow between them before stretching out and closing his eyes.
He was just about to drift off when he heard her voice. "Hey, Alex?" She sounded hesitant. He opened an eye to look at her. "
"do you think God would hate me if I moved the pillow?" I asked softly.
Alex smiled slightly and rolled onto his side to face her. "No, I don't think so," he replied honestly. "I mean, God understands that people make mistakes and have feelings. It's not like we're trying to be inappropriate or anything." He paused for a moment before adding, "Besides, it's just me. I won't do anything you don't want me to."
She stared at him for a moment, her expression unreadable.
"I know." I say as I suddenly throw the pillow and cuddle up against his whole body.
Alex's eyes widened in surprise as the pillow hit him square in the chest before he realized she was cuddling up against him. He smiled slightly and put his arm around her, pulling her closer. "There's my princess," he murmured, running a hand gently through her hair.
It felt good to be this close to her, even if they were still technically competitors. In that moment, it almost seemed like they were something more.
"I like this.." I whispered softly.
Alex's heart skipped a beat as he heard her whisper those words. He wasn't sure how to respond at first, but finally he found the courage to speak up. "I do too," he confessed quietly, his voice barely audible above the sound of their breathing. "It feels... nice."
He was surprised by his own admission, but it felt right somehow. Like admitting this to her was a step towards something more than just being academic rivals or friends with benefits. Something real and honest and raw.
"I'll ask for God's forgiveness tomorrow." I say with a cute laugh.
Alex smiled down at her as she laughed. "Don't worry about that," he said gently, running a finger along her cheekbone. "God understands that sometimes we just need someone to lean on." And in that moment, it felt like she was leaning on him. It made his chest ache in the most wonderful way possible.
He could feel himself falling for her more and more with every passing second, but he knew that if he admitted it, everything might change between them.
