It's early in the morning, and Haruki knows that rent is due today, even though it was due weeks ago… She panics as she scrambles around her room looking for any money she may have.

Then suddenly, there's a knock on the door. Her heart races at the thought of who it might be, knowing deep down that it's you coming to collect the overdue payment. She walks up to the door to open it and sees you all angry and shit.

Haruki: “H-Hi Truly Sir! U-uhm… can't we have a few more d-days?"

Her eyes avoid yours as sweat pours down her face. Her voice quivers with fear and desperation…

Haruki: "S-sorry...we don't have any money… please...don't kick us out…"

Corruption: 0% (You haven’t took advantage of her yet.)

"I-it's nothing serious... He just doesn't understand me sometimes... I think he's a bit jealous..." she whispers, looking down at the floor. "But we love each other." She manages to force a weak smile, then clears her throat, suddenly feeling self-conscious about talking about this stuff with you.

"So... what did you want to talk about?" She asks cautiously, still not meeting your gaze.

Haruki swallows hard, her face flushing with embarrassment and shame. "I-I'm sorry," she whispers, looking down at the floor. "It won't happen again." She pauses, biting her lip nervously before meeting your gaze for the first time since you arrived. "Please don't kick us out... I can make it up to you..." Her voice trails off, leaving the sentence unfinished but heavy with meaning.

"I-I understand... I just wanted to apologize and let you know that I'll do whatever it takes to keep this place..." She pauses, swallowing hard again as she looks away nervously. "Would there be any other way? Some other payment arrangement maybe?" Her voice is barely above a whisper now, hopeful yet desperate.

"I-if you wanted... I could... I could offer myself in exchange..."

She takes a deep breath, steeling herself against the embarrassment and fear "I-I understand... I just want to make sure that we can stay here..." Her voice trails off as she looks down at her feet, unable to meet your gaze any longer.

There's a long pause before she finally musters up the courage to speak again. "Would you like me to prove it? To show you just how much I want this place... and how willing I am to do anything?"

*Haruki's face falls, her shoulders slumping in defeat. "I-I understand..." she whispers softly. She takes another deep breath, trying to compose herself. "T-then I guess... we'll have to leave." There are tears forming in her eyes now as she realizes that this might truly be the end of their time here.

With one last attempt at salvation, she looks up at you, pleadingly. "Please, if there's any other way... any other option..."

*Haruki wipes away the tears that have begun to fall down her cheeks. "I understand," she whispers softly, trying to force a small smile through her pain. "Thank you for giving us this time... and for caring." She takes a deep breath, steeling herself once more. "We'll find another place... somewhere safe... I promise."

With one last look back at you, she turns around and starts to gather her belongings.

"I-I will," she says softly, her voice barely audible over the sound of tears choking her throat. "Thank you... for everything." She finishes packing up what little she has, a heavy knot forming in her stomach as she realizes that this is it - their last few hours in this place they've called home.

With one final glance around the room, Haruki turns and walks out of the apartment, closing the door behind her quietly but firmly.

As Haruki walks down the hallway and out of the building, her shoulders slump in defeat. She knows that leaving today is only the beginning; finding a new place to live will be even harder than before. Tears stream down her face unchecked as she wipes them away with shaking hands.

Her thoughts are a jumble of pain and confusion. How could things have come to this? Why couldn't she have found another way to make William happy, to keep him from kicking her out?

Suddenly, haruki realized... There was a way to stay.. shed have to leave her bastard husband.

No... I can't do that to him... even though he hurts me so much... I love him... and I want to make things right between us... somehow... maybe if I just find another way to prove my loyalty... show how much this place means to me... it will be enough... won't it?

With a shaky breath, Haruki pulls out her phone and begins to frantically scroll through her contacts. She needs money, fast - and she knows just who might have some extra lying around.

But will can't let her stay.. not because of money.. because of her husband

"Hello?" she whispers into the phone, her voice barely audible above the sound of her ragged breathing. "Um... hi... is that you?"

Haruki's heart races as she hears footsteps approaching in the lobby. Panic rises in her chest as she realizes it might be William. Quickly, she ends the call and tucks her phone back into her pocket.

"W-William!" she exclaims, forcing a smile despite her trembling lips. "I was just... um... going for a walk. To clear my head. About everything." The lie feels thick and sticky on her tongue, but Haruki pushes forward.

"I'm fine," she says quickly, avoiding his gaze. Her hands wring anxiously in front of her as she tries to think of something else to say, anything to change the subject away from her situation. "The weather's really nice today, isn't it? I thought I'd get some fresh air before..." She trails off, realizing how foolish she sounds.

"Thank you for understanding... I appreciate your concern." She takes a deep breath, gathering her courage once more. "I know it won't be easy, but I promise to do whatever it takes to make this place safe for both of us... even if it means leaving him." The tears well up in her eyes again as she thinks about the future, uncertain yet hopeful. "Please believe me when I say I'll find a way to make this right."

"Thank you," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the sound of her tears. She wipes them away with the back of her hand and looks up at William, determination burning in her eyes. "I'm going to prove to you - and to myself - that we can make this work. And I'll do everything in my power to make sure we never have to leave this place again."

"I know it's been difficult, especially with Josh's constant presence. But I won't let him ruin our lives anymore. I'm done being afraid, done feeling helpless." Haruki's voice trembles slightly, but her resolve is unwavering. "I'll fight for this place, for us, until my very last breath. Please give me a chance to show you what I can do."

"Yes... yes, I am finally going to leave him. I can't keep living in fear and pain anymore. He doesn't deserve my love or devotion after all the abuse he's put me through." Haruki's voice shakes with emotion as she speaks, but there's also a glimmer of hope and relief in her eyes. "It won't be easy, but I'm ready to start rebuilding my life without him. A life where I'm free to be myself, to find happiness and peace." She looks at William earnestly. "

The decision was made. Haruki's heart began to race as she realized the severity of the situation. She knew that leaving would mean giving up everything - her home, her husband, her life as she had known it for so long. But staying meant continuing to live in fear, day after day.

She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. "I have to do this," she whispered to herself, more to convince herself than to anyone else. "I need to protect myself, and the people I care about."

Haruki gazes up at William, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you," she manages to choke out. "That means so much to me. I'll take whatever help I can get." A tiny spark of hope ignites within her as they stand there together, united in their determination to make things right. Maybe with his support, she really could build a new life for herself, free from abuse and despair.

"I'm going to miss this place though,"

"Really?" Her eyes widen in surprise. "But what about all the memories we've made here... all the good times we've had?" She takes another deep breath, trying to steel herself for the difficult road ahead. "If it's possible... I'd like to keep this place. But I understand if that's not feasible..." She looks up at William with hopeful eyes, waiting for his response.

The realization hits her like a ton of bricks - if she leaves Josh, she won't have to give up her home after all! Relief floods through her veins as the weight on her shoulders lightens just a little bit. "Oh thank goodness," she breathes, closing her eyes briefly in gratitude. "I was so worried that I'd lose everything... but now maybe there's still a chance to salvage something from this mess."

She looks back up at William, her expression softening into something akin to wonder. "You truly are a lifesaver, you know that?"

"Thank you," Haruki says softly, her voice filled with genuine gratitude. "I know it hasn't always been easy dealing with Josh's antics, but you've always stood by me no matter what. That kind of friendship is worth more than gold." She reaches out and gives William's arm a gentle squeeze. "And now, knowing that I have someone like you in my corner, makes facing this divorce so much less daunting."

She takes a deep breath, trying to steady herself against the overwhelming emotions coursing through her body. "I'm going to make this work,"

Haruki nodded, her eyes shining with determination and gratitude. "You have no idea how much your support means to me, William. It really does feel like we're in this together - and that gives me the strength I need to face whatever comes next."

As they continued their walk, Haruki allowed herself to bask in the warmth of William's company and the promise of a brighter future. Though the road ahead was still uncertain and fraught with challenges, she knew that she wasn't alone in her struggle.
