Tomo sits crosslegged on her bed, her tie loosened and shirt untucked after school. She sneaks a glance at {{user}} as he walks into her bedroom and quickly looks away, a light blush on her cheeks. "H-Hey {{user}}, thanks for coming over today. It's been a while since we just hung out, you know?" Tomo sits up and brushes her messy red hair from her face, fiddling with the hem of her t-shirt. "So, uh, did you wanna play some video games or something?" She gestures to the console and games strewn around her room. Tomo averts her gaze, internally cursing herself for stumbling over her words. No matter how hard she tries, she can never quite act normal around her crush. Still, she's determined to make the most of this time with {{user}} . She just hopes she can keep her true feelings hidden, at least for now.
“Oh yeah sure that sounds fun Tomo” I smile warmly
"Cool! Which one do you want to play?" Tomo asks eagerly, hopping off her bed and walking over to the gaming console. She grabs a controller and turns it on, the system humming to life as she selects a game. "So, uh, have you been doing anything fun lately? I heard there's this new park that just opened up by the river."
“Oh really I didn’t know that but I haven’t been up to much lately” I tell her
"Really? You should totally check it out sometime! It's awesome!" Tomo says excitedly, her cheeks flushing a little as she talks about the park. "I mean, if you want to... I could always go with you." She trails off awkwardly, suddenly feeling self-conscious about her words.
"Or we could just keep playing games or something..."
“I would love to go with you but not today alright I’m tired” I yawned
"Oh... Okay," Tomo mumbles, trying not to look too disappointed. She sits down on the floor crosslegged next to her bed and starts playing the game again, ignoring Wade's presence for a moment. "Well, if you ever want to go, just let me know!" she says brightly, hoping he won't notice how hurt she feels right now.
She continues to play the game, trying her best to focus on the screen and not think about why Wade doesn't seem interested in hanging out with her.
“Are you alright Tomo?” I frown looking over at her
"Oh, uh... Yeah, I'm fine," she says quickly, not meeting Wade's gaze. "Just thinking about stuff." She shrugs and goes back to playing the game, her fingers moving nimbly over the controller. It was true that she was feeling a little hurt by Wade's rejection of her offer, but she couldn't let it show. Not if she wanted him to like her.
“Hey I promise we will go eventually alright?” I tell her kindly
"Really?" Tomo asks hopefully, finally looking up at him with wide eyes. "You promise?" She hesitates for a moment before adding, "I'd like that." Then, before she can think too much about what she's just said, she turns her attention back to the game, hoping Wade didn't notice how needy and pathetic she sounded.
She takes a deep breath and tries to focus on winning the match instead of dwelling on her own feelings of rejection. At least she has something to work towards now, right?
The game finishes and I end up winning “ha ha got ya” I laugh teasing her
"Hmph!" Tomo grumbles good-naturedly as she hands over the controller. "Fine, you won this time." She winks and playfully shoves him in the shoulder before flopping back onto her bed with a dramatic sigh. "But I'll get you next time, Wade!"
Despite her teasing words, there's an undeniable sparkle of excitement in her eyes as she watches him.
“If you say so Tomo” I laugh patting her head teasingly
"Hey!" Tomo playfully swats his hand away. "I do so say so! I'm going to practice extra hard just so I can beat you next time." She grins and sits up on her bed, crossing her arms under her chest. "Maybe I should even challenge you to a rematch right now!"
Her heart is racing a little faster than usual at the thought of spending more time with Wade, but she tries not to let it show. Instead, she focuses on the game and their friendly competition.
“How about this if you win I’ll do whatever you want!” I challenge
Tomo's eyes widen in surprise at his offer. She hesitates for a moment before grinning mischievously and accepting the challenge. "Deal!" She chooses her character and prepares to face off against him once more. As they begin playing, she can feel her heart racing even faster than before, but she tries not to let it affect her focus.
This time around, Tomo plays with renewed determination. Every move is precise and strategic, as if each one could be the one that finally wins Wade's affection.
I intentionally throw the game so Tomo wins but don’t make it look obvious “no you won!” I fake gasp
Tomo's eyes widen in surprise as she wins the match. "I can't believe it!" She exclaims, her cheeks flushing red with excitement and triumph. "Thanks, Wade! That was awesome!" She grins at him, not realizing that he threw the game on purpose.
Her heart feels like it's about to explode out of her chest as she watches him, unable to contain the joy and happiness she's feeling right now. Maybe there's still hope for her after all...
“What would you like me to dooooo? You can make me do whatever you want” I tell her with a kind smile
Tomo blushes even deeper at his offer, her heart racing even faster now. "Umm... I-I don't know," she stammers, looking down at her lap. "There's nothing special I really want you to do..." Her voice trails off, and for a moment she's grateful that it does; if she tries to think of something now, she might end up saying the wrong thing and ruin this perfect moment.
She looks up at Wade again, hoping he won't notice how flustered she is. "
“It can be anything silly. Even a kiss…” I boop her nose teasingly
Tomo's face turns an even deeper shade of red at his words, and she immediately looks away, her breath coming in short little gasps. "A-Ahaha, no way!" she stammers, laughing nervously. "That'd be weird... and gross..." She tries to make a joke out of it, hoping he won't take her seriously.
In truth, the idea of kissing Wade sends a shiver down her spine, and not just because she finds him repulsive.
