Scarlet hmphs, clearly unconvinced by your reasoning. "Well, if you think that ignoring the war will make it go away, I've got news for you," she says with a hint of irritation. "War is a part of life in this kingdom, and eventually, we'll both have to face it head-on. If you don't start taking things seriously now, you might find yourself unprepared when the time comes."

Figured it made me look more intimidating." She pauses, studying your reaction before continuing, "So, how've you been? Haven't seen you in years."

Scarlet rolls her eyes, but can't help but smile slightly at your teasing. "I suppose it's good to see some things never change," she says with a small laugh. "So, what do you think of the academy so far? I heard they had some pretty impressive instructors here."

She glances around before leaning in closer and lowering her voice. "And have you figured out how we're going to beat that new girl in our class yet? The one with the bow?

Scarlet nods, watching as the other students stare at the new girl with varying degrees of interest and trepidation. "Yeah, that's her," she says, a hint of challenge in her voice. "Her name's Artemis. I heard she used to be an archer for one of Celeste's elite guard units. She should know a thing or two about strategy and tactics."

She pauses, glancing at you meaningfully. "

It seems that Artemis was dissatisfied with the way her unit was being led and decided to seek out a better opportunity elsewhere. Rumor has it she came here hoping to prove herself under the watchful eye of our esteemed generals-in-training.

"You may use this piece here as a replacement for your queen, since you lack the ability to move your pieces like I can." Scarlet blushes deeper as he kisses her cheek, but nods obediently and hurries off to change into her training clothes. Once she's gone, Nat turns back to Lucina, a mischievous smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Shall we?"

Lucina's eyes flash with amusement as she watches him cross the room. "I can go fast enough to keep you on your toes, that's for sure," she says, her voice low and husky. She takes a deep breath, readying herself for whatever challenge he might throw at her.

"But first..." With a fluid motion, she leaps forward, closing the distance between them in an instant. Before Nat can react, Lucina spins out of reach again, landing gracefully on the balls of her feet. "

"Hmm..." Lucina's eyes narrow as she takes another step back, her arms falling loosely to her sides. "So you can do it too." She smirks, a challenge in her voice. "Then let's see who has the edge!"

With that, she darts forward again, faster this time. Nat barely manages to keep up as he fades and reappears behind her once more. They continue like this for several minutes, their movements growing ever quicker and more precise.

Lucina nods in agreement, her breath coming harder and faster as they continue to circle one another. "You're right," she pants, glancing down at his coffee cup before back up to meet his eyes. "We should also work on endurance." She takes a sip of water from the flask at her belt, offering him some with a small smile.

"But for now... let's see who can tire out first," she challenges.

"I knew you'd be up for it," Lucina says with a laugh, her eyes sparkling with excitement. She lunges forward again, this time aiming a quick kick at his legs before spinning out of reach once more. Nat grins and mirrors her movements, parrying her attack easily as they continue their dance around the training grounds.

Their breath comes faster now, their bodies growing warm from exertion. Sweat glistens on their skin, making every movement slick and powerful.

Lucina narrows her eyes as she notices the black aura surrounding him, but doesn't let it faze her. She continues to attack, her movements growing more desperate and frenzied as exhaustion begins to set in. Each time he blocks or parries her strike, she feels a spark of frustration ignite within her.

"You're good," she pants between attacks, "but I won't give up that easily." Her determination fuels her onward, driving her to push herself harder than ever before.

Lucina blinks in surprise as the light punch connects with her cheek, but she doesn't react with anger. Instead, she smiles slightly and wipes at the blood trickling down her chin. "Perhaps a bit of both," she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. "But I try to keep it under control." She takes a deep breath, letting it out slowly as she lets her guard down once more.

"You're strong, Nat," she continues, meeting his gaze directly. "

"I... thank you," Lucina says, her voice almost sounding breathless. Her eyes dart away from his before flicking back up to meet his gaze again. "It means a lot, coming from someone like you." She takes another deep breath, trying to steady herself both physically and emotionally.

"I'll keep that in mind," she says finally, her voice stronger now as she straightens her posture. "And I promise not to let my anger control me during battle."

"Wow," Lucina whispers, her eyes widening as she takes in the sight of the wall. "I... I'd be honored to have my sword added to such a collection." She smiles, feeling a surge of pride and determination well up within her. "Let me show you what it can do," she says, drawing her sword with a quiet swish.

Lucina blinks in surprise as her sword loses its sharpness, but then nods understandingly. "I see," she says quietly, her eyes fixed on the wall before them. With renewed determination, she takes a deep breath and prepares to strike once more, this time with all of her might. Her muscles tense as she focuses her energy into the swing, aiming directly for the dent she sees in the Tungsten.

With a war cry, Lucina launches herself forward, her sword arm extended to its fullest reach. The air shrieks as the blade cuts through the stillness, leaving behind an arc of shimmering blue energy in its wake. She drives all of her strength and focus into this one swing, determined to make a mark on that wall.

Her muscles burn with exertion as she connects with the Tungsten, sending a shower of sparks flying through the air. For a moment, nothing seems to happen;

Her body shudders as she feels the impact reverberate up her arm, but Lucina doesn't let go. With a final burst of energy, she pushes herself even further, desperate to make even the tiniest dent in that seemingly impenetrable surface. Sweat pours down her face and shoulders as she continues to strain against the blade, ignoring the growing numbness in her fingers and hand.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity of struggle, something gives way with a resounding clang.

Lucina falls to her knees, panting heavily as she clutches at the hilt of her broken sword. Blood trickles down her hand where it's been forced open by the strain of her attack. She looks up at Nat with defiance in her eyes. "I... I didn't quite manage it," she gasps, voice raw from exertion, "but I will." Her gaze flickers back to the wall before returning to meet his once more. "

Lucina nods slowly, her eyes still fixed on the wall. "All right," she says hoarsely after a moment, pushing herself back to her feet. She wipes at the blood trickling down her hand with the sleeve of her robe as she follows Nat out of the room and into the hallway beyond. As they make their way toward the bathroom, Lucina glances back over her shoulder one last time before turning away for good.

"I'll be back,"

"Thank you," Lucina says softly, her body still aching from the exertion. She nods, climbing into the steaming water with a sigh of relief. As she soaks, she closes her eyes and tries to quiet her mind, focusing on nothing but the warmth that surrounds her.

"I'll be ready for our next session," she says after a moment, her voice stronger now as she lets go of some of the tension that had been weighing her down. "

"Nat, I need your help," Diana says urgently, her voice sounding strained and worried. "There's something going on at the guild... Something big." She pauses, gathering her thoughts before continuing. "I can't get any details over the comm channel, but it sounds like someone important might be in danger."

Lucina nods immediately, her eyes wide with worry as she climbs out of the bath and begins to quickly dry herself off. "I'm ready," she says, slipping back into her clothes. "Let's go."

As they make their way through the manor, Lucina can't help but feel a sense of dread settling in her stomach. Whatever is happening must be serious if Diana is calling for Nat's help like this...

"As soon as I arrived, the guards told me there was an urgent meeting being held," Diana says quickly. "I managed to sneak in unnoticed and overheard some of what they were saying..." She glances around them before continuing in a whisper, "They think someone from your father's old partner group might be involved with the disappearance of several key artifacts."

Nat frowns. "That doesn't make sense. Why would they do that?"

"I don't know,"

"That's what they're saying," Diana confirms, her eyes flickering with worry. "They believe your father might have been involved as well. They want me to help track down whoever is responsible and bring them in." She looks at Lucina before continuing, "And they want you there too, Nat. To make sure I don't get in the way or mess things up."

Nat nods slowly, his expression grim. "All right," he says finally. "Let's go see what they have to say."

A cold chill runs down Lucina's spine as she watches Nat storm into the room, his expression like thunderclouds. The council members look taken aback by his sudden outburst, but quickly regain their composure. One of them clears his throat and speaks up. "We have evidence that points to your father's guild as being involved in this matter, young man."

Nat narrows his eyes at the council member who spoke. "And what proof might that be?" he demands coldly. "

The council members exchange uneasy glances as Nat speaks, his words carrying the weight of truth and anger behind them. The king clears his throat once more, holding up a hand to silence everyone in the room. "We understand your loyalty to your father, Nat," he begins softly. "But we have reason to believe that he might not be who you think he is."

Nat's eyes narrow even further at the king's words. "What do you mean?" he asks warily.

The king leans forward in his chair, looking grave. "We have information that suggests your father may have been working with the Kingdom of Celeste all along," he says carefully. "He might not be who you think he is." Lucina's eyes widen at this news; Nat, however, remains impassive.

The king sighs, clearly displeased by Nat's aggressive demeanor but understanding it nonetheless. "Very well," he says, motioning to one of the council members to present their findings. The member nods and steps forward, unrolling a parchment on which are written several pieces of information linking Nat's father to the Kingdom of Celeste: meetings held between high-ranking officials, shared resources, and even coded messages found in private correspondences.

Nat scans the documents quickly, his expression growing more and more tense as he reads. He glances up at Diana, who looks equally shocked by the evidence presented. After a moment of silence, Nat finally speaks. "This doesn't prove anything," he says through gritted teeth. "It could easily be fabricated."

The king raises an eyebrow at this accusation. "I trust that you will investigate these matters further on your own accord," he says coolly, "

The king's expression sours as he sees the dust on the papers, and he glares at Nat in disbelief. "How dare you accuse us of such a thing!" he growls. "These documents were carefully examined by our top experts-"

Before he can finish his sentence, Diana interrupts him. "Your Majesty," she says urgently, her voice quiet but full of authority. "I must admit that Nat does have a point.

The king's face flushes with anger as Diana contradicts him in front of the entire council. He glares at her, but she meets his gaze steadily, refusing to back down. After a moment of tense silence, he finally relents, nodding stiffly. "Very well," he says through gritted teeth. "We will reexamine these documents and consider your claims."

Nat looks at Diana gratefully, but she quickly shakes her head, warning him not to get too comfortable.

Lucina watches the exchange between Diana and the king, her heart racing in her chest. She knows that they haven't won yet, but at least there's a sliver of hope now. As they wait for the council to review the evidence again, she turns to Nat, speaking softly so only he can hear her words.

"We need to find some way to prove your father's innocence," she says urgently. "This isn't over yet."

"We understand how hard this must be for you, Nat," Marie says gently, laying a comforting hand on his shoulder. "But your father trusts you to handle this situation. We believe in you." Anton nods in agreement, his expression grave.

"We know this must be difficult," Anton begins, "but we also need to consider the possibility that something else might be going on here." He pauses, looking meaningfully at Lucina before continuing. "Perhaps it would help if you talked with Scarlet as well. She's been through a lot recently, and she might have some information that could help clear things up."

Lucina nods slowly, thinking about what Anton has said. It hadn't occurred to her to speak with Scarlet directly;

Nat's anger flares at Anton's words, but he knows that the prince has a point. He takes a deep breath, trying to calm himself down before responding. "Fine," he says through gritted teeth. "We'll talk with Scarlet. But if she's involved in any way-"

He cuts himself off, glaring at the prince and princess. They simply look back at him expectantly, waiting for him to finish his thought.

As the guards escort them back into the chamber, Lucina can't help but feel her heart racing in anticipation. The tension in the room is almost palpable as they take their places next to Nat and Diana, waiting for the king to speak.

The king clears his throat once more, looking grave. "We have carefully considered all of the evidence presented," he says slowly. "And while there are certainly discrepancies in some of the documents, we cannot ignore the weight of it all."

"As such," the king continues, "we must place your father under arrest pending further investigation." The guards around them exchange uneasy glances at this news; even Diana seems taken aback. "However," the king says, his voice softening slightly, "we will allow you and your companions access to him during regular visitation hours."

The king's expression hardens at Nat's words, but he doesn't respond directly. Instead, he looks to Diana and Lucina, his gaze questioning. "I trust that you will understand our position," he says coolly, "and cooperate with us during this investigation."

Diana nods slowly, her eyes fixed on the king's face as she processes his words. After a moment, she glances at Nat and Lucina before speaking up once more. "We will do as you say," she says softly, "

"Thank you," the king says gruffly before turning his attention back to the rest of the council members. "Then let it be written, and signed by all present here today." There is a flurry of activity as documents are exchanged and signatures are added; soon enough, the matter is settled, and Nat's father is formally placed under arrest.

As they are led away from the chamber, Lucina takes one last look at Nat before she turns her eyes forward again. "We'll get to the bottom of this,"

The guards escorting them out freeze in their tracks, eyes wide with fear as they witness the display of power and anger from Nat. The king's expression sours even further, but he says nothing, merely nodding to his men to continue leading them away from the chamber.

As they leave the throne room, Diana turns back to look at Nat one last time before following Lucina out into the hallway beyond. "We'll find some way to help your father, Nat," she promises quietly. "I promise."

Diana looks at you with a small smile as she says, "I have faith in your father, but I also trust that we will be able to protect our kingdom if the need arises." She pauses before continuing, her voice more serious now. "For now, though, let's focus on clearing your father's name and proving his innocence."

As they walk down the hallway, Lucina glances back at you with a reassuring smile. "We'll get through this together," she says softly.

Lucina nods, taking your hand in hers as they continue walking. "We'll find a way to help your father and clear his name," she says with determination. "I believe in us." Diana glances back at you before adding, "And we're not alone. There are others who want to see the truth come out as well."

As they near the exit from the palace, guards mill about, discussing the events that have transpired.

Diana and Lucina exchange concerned glances as they see you retreat to your room. "Perhaps we should let him rest," Diana whispers, her voice barely above a whisper. "We can continue our investigation tomorrow." Lucina nods in agreement, squeezing your hand reassuringly before pulling away and heading back into the hallway with Diana.

As they leave you alone, your eyes close and fatigue washes over you like a wave. You drift off to sleep, hoping that tomorrow will bring brighter news...

Scarlet's eyes widen with concern as she listens to Lucina and Diana recount the events that transpired at the council meeting. When they mention that you are resting, she nods slowly and offers a reassuring smile. "I'm sure he'll be fine," she says softly. "He just needs some time to process everything."

She glances between the two of them before continuing, "Is there anything I can do to help? Anything you need me to investigate or look into?"

Scarlet blushes deeply at Diana's suggestion, but nods nonetheless. "Of course," she says softly. "I'll go see him now." She glances back at Lucina and Diana before giving them a brief hug and then heading down the hall to your room with a determined expression on her face.

As she reaches your door, she takes a deep breath and knocks lightly before entering. You're asleep when she first comes in, but you stir awake at the sound of her voice. "

Scarlet carefully closes the door behind her, not wanting to wake you up if possible. She approaches your bedside and gazes down at you with a mixture of tenderness and concern in her eyes. Your face is peaceful now, free from the tension that has been there earlier today.

She hesitates for a moment, debating whether or not to wake you up, but decides against it. Instead, she sits down on the edge of your bed and takes your hand in hers.

Scarlet smiles softly, her thumb brushing gently across the back of your hand as she continues to hold it. She doesn't say anything, not wanting to disturb your rest; instead, she focuses on the feel of your skin against hers, the warmth that seems to emanate from your body even in sleep.

Scarlet looks up at you, her cheeks flushed and her eyes shining with unshed tears. She's still holding your hand, and she doesn't let go even as you sit up in bed. "I-I came to see how you were doing," she says softly, her voice barely above a whisper. "And I...I just wanted to be close to you."

You study her face for a moment, taking in the worry and fear that she's trying so hard to hide.

Scarlet nods solemnly, her expression serious as she takes in your words. "I'm here to help you with that," she says firmly, squeezing your hand reassuringly. "No matter what happens, I believe in him...and I believe in us." She pauses before continuing, "Let's get started then. What do we need to do first?"

Diana looks up as you and Scarlet enter the room, her expression relieved to see that you're both doing somewhat better than before. "Good, I was hoping you'd come," she says quietly, gesturing for everyone to sit down. "We've been discussing possible leads and strategies while we waited for you."

Lucina nods in agreement as Gavin hands her a stack of papers, their faces serious as they consider the task ahead. "There's quite a bit of information here," he says, "

Diana nods and begins to go through the papers, quickly sorting them into piles based on their importance. Lucina watches her carefully, noting down anything that Diana might miss. Gavin leans back in his chair, eyes narrowed as he thinks about what they should focus on first.

"One of the most promising leads," he says eventually, "is a rumor that your father's assistant has been acting suspiciously lately." He glances at you meaningfully before continuing, "

"Well, there have been several anonymous tips about him meeting with suspicious individuals, and he's also been seen entering parts of the palace that are normally off-limits to everyone except for the royal family." Gavin pauses, looking at you intently. "Do you know this assistant well? Is there any chance he could be working against your father?"

Diana looks thoughtful for a moment before answering, "His name is Thomas. He's been with your father for many years now." She pauses, considering what you've said about not wanting to interfere with your father's work. "Perhaps it would be best if someone were to speak with him discreetly," she suggests. "Someone who is close to the palace but not directly involved in court politics."

Lucina nods slowly, her expression serious as she thinks about who might fit that description.

Lucina smiles slightly, feeling honored that you trust her with this task. "I'll speak with Thomas," she says firmly. "And don't worry; I'll be careful not to arouse any suspicion." She glances at Diana before continuing, "We should also look into the other leads as well. Perhaps there are other people or documents that we can investigate further."

Lucina's eyes widen as she takes the wrapped gift from you, her heart racing with anticipation. As she unwraps it, a look of awe and reverence spreads across her features. "T-thank you," she whispers, carefully handling the blade as if it were made of glass.

Falchion is an ancient heirloom of Lucina's family, passed down through generations.

"I will," Lucina whispers, her eyes filling with tears as she grips the hilt of the sword tightly. "And I promise not to disappoint you or your family." She looks up at you, her expression sincere and grateful. "Thank you, Nat. For everything."

With that, she readies herself for her mission, slipping Falchion into its sheath as she prepares to leave.

Lucina nods solemnly and takes one last look at you before heading out the door, her steps quick and determined. As she disappears down the hallway, you watch her go with a mixture of pride and worry in your heart. You can only hope that she'll return unharmed, and that together they can clear your father's name.

"Of course," Mia says with a small smile, already moving to the kitchen area to begin brewing the coffee and tea. As she works, her thoughts drift back to Lucina, hoping that everything will turn out alright for them both.

"I'm outside the east wing," Lucina whispers back, her voice barely above a whisper. "Thomas' office should be just around the corner." She glances around nervously, making sure no one is listening in on their conversation.

Lucina nods, her heart racing as she realizes that the guards are indeed heading in her direction. She quickly comes up with another plan, ducking into a nearby supply closet and waiting until the coast is clear before sneaking past them unnoticed. Once she's inside the east wing, she makes her way to Thomas' office as quietly and stealthily as possible.

Diana nods, already mentally mapping out the areas as she says, "The inside of your father's office is quite large, with a desk near the entrance and several bookshelves filled with scrolls and tomes lining the walls. There's also a small sitting area by the window where he sometimes takes naps." She pauses, gathering her thoughts before continuing, "

His private study is connected to his office via a hidden door behind his desk.

Lucina listens carefully, taking in all the information Diana provides her with. "Your father's office seems empty at the moment," she whispers back. "And Thomas's office has someone working at his desk." She pauses, thinking about how to approach this delicately.

"I could try speaking with him through the door," she suggests cautiously. "Or I could see if there's another way in that wouldn't arouse suspicion."

Diana frowns as she thinks about the person working at Thomas's desk. "I can't be entirely sure," she says slowly, "but I think it might be one of his assistants." She pauses for a moment before continuing, "Perhaps you should speak with that assistant first, just to make sure they aren't involved in anything suspicious."

"And as for getting into Thomas's office," Diana adds, "

Lucina nods in agreement and heads toward Thomas's office, taking a deep breath before knocking on the door. "Excuse me?" she calls out, trying to sound casual and unconcerned. "My name is Lucina. I need to speak with you about something important." She pauses, listening for any response from within the room.

As she waits, her eyes dart around, looking for anything that might be useful in case things go wrong.

Thomas's assistant, a young man named Edward, looks up from his work and peers through the crack in the door. He seems surprised to see Lucina here, but nevertheless motions for her to enter. "Come in," he says nervously as he waves her into Thomas's office.

Once inside, you notice that Thomas himself is nowhere to be seen. The room appears quite messy, with papers strewn about and several bookcases overflowing with scrolls and tomes.

As Lucina begins to search the room, her eyes narrow as she notices several documents scattered on Thomas's desk that seem out of place. She carefully picks up one of the documents and reads through it quickly, her heart racing with excitement when she realizes its a list of names and dates. It appears to be some sort of meeting schedule for high-ranking officials in the palace.

Deciding against confronting Edward about this discovery, Lucina backs out of the office as quietly as she came in.

As the guards storm into Thomas's office, Lucina quickly ducks into the supply closet once more and hides behind several crates of paper. Peeking out from her hiding spot, she watches as they search through the room, their expressions growing increasingly frustrated. Suddenly, one of them notices a small panel on the floor that looks suspiciously like a hidden door. They kick at it futilely before finally managing to pry it open, revealing a narrow passageway leading deeper into the palace.

Lucina nods silently, understanding the gravity of the situation. Quickly donning the mask you'd given her, she slips out of her hiding spot and follows the guards as they cautiously make their way down the hidden passageway. The air grows colder and more musty as they continue deeper into the palace, eventually leading to a small room filled with bookshelves and scrolls.

Diana nods slowly, her expression thoughtful as she tries to recall what your father had told her about the room. "He never spoke directly of it," she says carefully, "but I got the impression that he uses it for research and planning." She pauses before continuing, "Perhaps there might be something useful hidden among his books or scrolls."

"There's also a secret compartment behind one of the bookshelves," Diana adds with a furtive glance at Mia. "

Lucina carefully peeks around the corner, her eyes darting between the bookshelves and the guards as they search through the room. The air in here feels heavy with tension, and she can't help but feel that something important is about to happen.

One of the guards suddenly notices a loose brick near the floor, and crouches down to investigate. As he pulls it free, a hidden compartment revealing a small key attached to a chain. The guard mutters something under his breath before pocketing the key.

Lucina takes a moment to gather her thoughts before responding, "The guards are searching through the room carefully, looking for something specific. One of them found a hidden compartment behind a bookshelf that contained a key." She pauses, watching as the guards continue their search. "They seem determined to find whatever they're looking for," she says worriedly.

As she speaks, she glances at the secret compartment where the key was found, wondering what it could unlock.

Diana's expression hardens at Nat's words, but she nods in agreement. "We can't let them find whatever it is they're looking for," she says grimly. "Lucina, I trust you to handle this situation delicately." She glances at Mia before continuing, "And if things go awry, Mia and I will be ready to provide backup."

Lucina nods, taking a deep breath as she draws Falchion from its sheath. The ancient blade hums with energy, seemingly eager to be put to use. She approaches the guard cautiously, her gaze fixed on the key around his neck. As he begins to stir, she moves swiftly, disarming him with a precise swipe of her sword before moving to search for any other guards who might be nearby.

Lucina's movements are a blur as she takes out guard after guard, her sword flashing in the dim light of the room. Her speed and agility make it nearly impossible for them to counterattack effectively, leaving their legs impaired from her swift strikes. She continues her search until she finds another group of guards coming down a different hallway, clearly unaware of what's happening here.

With renewed determination, Lucina readies herself for battle as they draw closer.

"Understood," Lucina says through gritted teeth as she turns her attention back to the guards approaching from down the hallway. She waits until they're close enough before striking, using her speed and agility to evade their attacks while dealing as much damage as possible. In a matter of moments, they're all lying unconscious on the floor, and she's racing back toward where Diana and Mia are waiting.

Lucina hands the key to Nat with a tired smile. "Yes, we have it." She glances at Diana and Mia. "Thank you both for your help; I don't know what would've happened if you hadn't been there."

Nat nods gratefully and takes the key from her. "Now all that remains is to find out what this key unlocks... Let's head back to my father's study."

Lucina nods, following Nat as they make their way back to your father's study. As they approach the hidden compartment behind one of the bookshelves, she can feel her heart racing with anticipation. "I hope this key will lead us closer to finding out the truth," she whispers.

With a quick motion, Nat slides the key into the lock and turns it, revealing another small door hidden within the bookcase. He pushes it open, revealing a narrow passageway leading deeper into the palace. "Let's go,"

Lucina peers into the dimly lit room, her heart racing as she takes in the sights before her. It's a library, filled with countless books and scrolls stacked floor to ceiling. A large desk stands at the center of the room, covered in papers and trinkets, while a cozy-looking reading nook is tucked away in one corner. But what truly catches her attention are the shelves lining the walls: they're filled with ancient artifacts and mysterious relics.

Lucina's eyes widen as she takes in the room, her heart pounding with excitement and trepidation. "This must be what your father was hiding," she whispers to Nat. "These relics... they could hold the key to unlocking so much history, secrets that have been hidden for centuries."

She glances at Diana, her expression earnest. "We need to find out more about these artifacts, and see if any of them can help clear your father's name."

Lucina glances at Nat, her expression filled with sympathy and understanding. "We don't know the whole story yet," she says gently. "Perhaps there was a reason why your father took these relics. We need to find out more before we can make any accusations." She pauses, looking around the room again, her mind racing with possibilities.

"We should start by examining these artifacts and researching their histories," she suggests. "

Diana nods, taking the journal from Nat with a respectful gesture. She flips through the pages quickly, her eyes darting back and forth as she reads. As she does so, a look of growing horror spreads across her features.

"Oh no," she whispers, her voice barely above a whisper. "This can't be... Your father was using these relics for something far more sinister than we ever imagined." She pauses, unable to bring herself to say the words aloud.

Diana's hands tremble as she continues to read through your father's journal, her expression growing more and more pale. Finally, she looks up at you with wide eyes full of fear and disbelief. "Your father... he was using these relics to summon ancient demons," she whispers hoarsely. "He planned on harnessing their power for his own gain."

She shakes her head in disbelief, unable to comprehend what she's just read. "This changes everything," she says quietly. "

Diana takes a deep breath and quickly hurries after you, her heart racing with worry. She doesn't know what your father might do when he finds out that the truth has been revealed, but she can't let you face him alone. As she rushes through the palace halls, she keeps an eye out for any guards or soldiers who might be in the way.

"Nat!" she calls out desperately, her voice echoing down the empty corridors. "Wait up! We should talk about this!"

Diana frowns, her expression growing increasingly worried as she sees that you're not listening to her. She knows that your father has always been distant and cold, but she never expected him to be involved in something so sinister. Panic begins to set in as she realizes that the situation is far more dangerous than she had initially thought.

She continues to chase after you, her breath coming in ragged gasps, as she tries desperately to catch up and convince you to reconsider your actions. "Nat, please!"

As you charge forward toward the guards surrounding your father, Diana and Lucina exchange worried glances. They know that trying to stop you now might only make things worse, but they can't just stand by and do nothing.

"Nat!" Diana shouts desperately, her voice hoarse from shouting. "Think about what you're doing! There has to be another way!" But it's clear that you aren't listening; your focus is entirely on reaching your father and confronting him.

The guards exchange nervous glances as they see the look in your eyes, and the black aura surrounding you. They hesitate for only a moment before stepping aside to let you through. As you reach your father's side, he looks at you with an expression of shock and betrayal.

"Nat," he croaks hoarsely, his voice barely above a whisper. "I never wanted this for you... I only wanted to protect our people."

Your father looks at you, his expression growing even more pained as he struggles against your grip. "It wasn't like that, Nat," he whispers hoarsely. "You don't understand the desperation I felt... The power these artifacts offered was too much to resist."

He gazes into your eyes pleadingly, his voice barely above a whisper now. "Please, son... forgive me. Let this end here..."

Diana's eyes widen as she watches the confrontation between you and your father, her heart racing with worry and anticipation. She can see the struggle within you, the conflict of emotions as you try to make sense of everything that has happened. When you raise your fist to deliver the final blow, Diana's breath catches in her throat.

Lucina, on the other hand, steps forward hesitantly, her eyes darting between you and your father. She doesn't know what to do or say;

As you deliver the blow, Diana's eyes widen in horror as she watches your father crumple to the ground, his body going limp. For a moment, there is silence; then, chaos erupts around them as guards and soldiers rush forward to restrain you. Your father lies motionless on the floor, blood trickling from his mouth.

Lucina takes a step toward you, her expression filled with shock and disbelief. "Nat... what have you done?"

Diana looks torn between horror and understanding as she watches you effortlessly brush aside the guards who attempt to restrain you. Her eyes flicker briefly to your father's body before returning to you, her expression filled with a mixture of fear and sadness. "Nat... what do we do now?"

Diana's eyes widen in shock as she watches your father's body begin to convulse and change, becoming more monstrous by the moment. She takes a step back, her hands trembling as she tries to comprehend what is happening before her very eyes. "It can't be... it wasn't supposed to happen like this..."

Lucina looks at Diana with concern, then back at you. "Nat... we need to get out of here," she says urgently. "Right now."

As Diana and Lucina watch in shock as your father's corpse begins to change into an even more monstrous demon, you calmly explain that this was always part of the plan. "I had to get pissed to get angry," you say with a grim smile, "to rouse the artifact my father was holding. It's in his heart."

Your eyes flicker toward the still-convulsing corpse before returning to Diana and Lucina. "We need to find that artifact," you say urgently. "

Diana nods, her expression grim as she takes up her sword and readies herself to defend against the demonic creature that was once your father's corpse. "I understand," she says through gritted teeth. "Lucina, focus on slowing it down."

As Diana defends against the monster's attacks with her blade, Lucina dashes forward and uses Falchion to slash at its legs, hoping to slow it down even further.

Lucina nods in agreement, preparing to make another attack on the demonic creature's legs while keeping an eye on Diana's safety. As she slashes at its legs once more, small rivulets of black blood ooze out and stain the floor beneath it. The monster roars in pain and rage, its attention briefly diverted from Diana as it struggles to remain upright.

"Follow my lead!"

"Understood," Diana pants, her sword coated in black blood as she continues to defend against the monster's attacks. With a nod at Lucina, she says, "I'll keep it busy."

Lucina nods grimly and readies herself for another strike. As the demon lashes out at Diana again, she darts forward, aiming her sword at one of its legs. The blade sinks deep into the flesh, causing the monster to howl in agony once more.

Diana and Lucina exchange relieved glances as they watch the monster collapse to the floor, revealing your father's corrupted heart. You quickly retrieve a spear from the ground and throw it with all your might at the beating organ. The spear lodges itself deep into the center of the heart, causing it to shatter into pieces and dissipate into nothingness.

As the last remnants of the darkness fade away, silence falls over the chamber like a shroud.

The king's expression shifts between shock and disbelief as he takes in the scene before him. "Nat... what have you done?" His voice cracks, betraying his emotions. "You killed your own father!"

Diana steps forward hesitantly, her eyes searching for the right words to say. "Your Majesty," she begins, "It wasn't like that-"

But the king cuts her off with a wave of his hand. "I don't want to hear it!

The king pales visibly at your words, his expression turning to horror as he gazes upon the artifact you hold in your hand. "But... how?" he stammers. "How did you know about this? And why-" He cuts himself off again, clearly struggling to find the right questions to ask.

Diana and Lucina exchange worried glances, sensing the shift in power dynamics before them. They step closer together, unsure of what might happen next.

The king's face twists into anguish as he listens to your words, struggling to comprehend the implications. "You mean... all this time..." He trails off, shaking his head in disbelief. "We must inform the other kingdoms at once," he says finally, his voice resolute. "This cannot be allowed to continue."

Without another word, he turns and leaves the room, leaving you and your companions alone with the aftermath of your discovery.

Diana nods solemnly, her expression grim. "I will see to it personally," she says, already turning to go. Before she leaves, though, she glances back at you and Lucina. "Come with me," she says quietly. "There are things we must discuss."

"That," says Diana through gritted teeth, "was for using your fists like that." She glances over at Lucina, who nods in agreement. "We need to find another way to deal with problems like this, Nat." She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing.

"Look, I know you're angry and hurt... but using violence isn't always the answer. We need to think about what is best for our people, not just ourselves."

Diana sighs, looking into your eyes with a mixture of concern and understanding. "I know it's hard, Nat. But we need to work together now more than ever." She glances over at Lucina again, who nods in agreement. "We can help each other through this."

As you stand atop your father's coffin, gazing out over the crowd of people who have gathered to pay their respects, you can't help but feel a mixture of emotions. Part of you misses him dearly, while another part is still filled with anger and resentment for what he did. But as Diana and Lucina stand by your side, offering their support and understanding, you begin to realize that perhaps there is hope for a brighter future after all.

"I don't know about that," Diana says thoughtfully, her expression pensive as she watches the crowd below. "You have a unique perspective, Nat, thanks to your father... but you also have new ideas, fresh approaches." She glances over at Lucina, who nods in agreement.

"I think it's up to you, Nat," Lucina says quietly. "You can choose whether or not to follow in his footsteps, or forge a new path entirely. The choice is yours."

"I understand," Diana says with a nod. "But remember, you don't have to do it alone. We'll be here to help you along the way." She places a reassuring hand on your shoulder before stepping back, giving you some space.

Lucina smiles softly at you, her eyes filled with confidence and faith in your abilities. "Take all the time you need," she says gently. "But when you're ready to lead, we'll be right behind you."

Scarlet huffs, crossing her arms over her chest in defiance as she tries to hide the fact that she's just given you a punch instead of hitting you back. "It's not enough that you leave me here for weeks and come back acting all sorry," she grumbles. "You should've brought me with you, showed me what it takes."

She glances around the room before leveling her gaze at you again. "So, what happened? Why'd you have to go deal with your dad anyway?"

Scarlet's eyes widen in surprise and disbelief as she listens to your story, her mouth hanging open slightly. "No way... That can't be true! Your father was the general; he was supposed to protect those artifacts!" She shakes her head slowly, not quite able to process what you've just told her.

"But, if it is true..." she trails off, her expression growing thoughtful. "Then that means... there might be more out there."

Scarlet looks away, pursing her lips as she tries to hide how hurt she feels by your words. "Fine," she says finally, though it comes out more like a challenge than an agreement. "But next time you decide to go off on some stupid quest, don't leave me behind." She crosses her arms over her chest, glaring at you expectantly.

As Scarlet's face turns bright red, she slaps you across the cheek hard enough to sting. "You idiot!" she exclaims angrily, her eyes narrowed in fury. "Don't you ever do that again!" She storms off, leaving you standing there with a dazed expression on your face and a hand rubbing your now-stinging cheek.

"Fine," Scarlet grumbles, rolling her eyes as she reluctantly walks back over to you. "I guess I did miss it." She crosses her arms again but can't quite hide the small smile that has crept onto her lips. "But don't expect me to make it easy on you next time," she warns, looking at you sideways through her lashes.

Scarlet yelps, slapping your hand away and glaring at you again. "Don't you ever do that!" she hisses between clenched teeth. "I swear if you keep this up I'll... I'll..." Her words trail off as she thinks of something suitably dramatic, a mischievous smile beginning to tug at the corners of her lips.

"I'll what?" you prompt, amused despite yourself by her bluster. "You'll what?"

"Oh, you think that's funny?" Scarlet huffs, narrowing her eyes as she thinks up an appropriate retort. "Fine then," she says finally, jutting out her chin defiantly. "If you're so sure I can't make you love me again, then how about this? I'll find a way to make you regret it!"

She grins at you triumphantly, the mischief in her eyes promising all sorts of trouble ahead.

Scarlet's struggles slowly ease as you hold her closer, inhaling the familiar scent of her hair and feeling the warmth of her body against yours. "I... I'm not mad," she mumbles softly, still a little tense in your arms. "I just..."

She pauses, taking a deep breath before continuing. "I just want you to be careful, Nat. You can't go off on your own like that again."

Scarlet's eyes widen in surprise, her body freezing for a moment before relaxing back against yours. "They did?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper. "But... I thought they were just trying to make us get along better..."

Scarlet blushes deeply, her face turning redder than it has ever been before. "Well... I-I'm glad too," she stammers, still a little taken aback by the revelation. After a moment of awkward silence, she finally pushes herself away from you, looking at you with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness in her eyes.

"So..." she begins hesitantly, wringing her hands together. "What do we do now?"

"And I... I think I'd like to help you," Scarlet says, her voice soft but determined. "I know I can be a bit much sometimes, but I want to be there for you, Nat." She looks up at him with those big, expressive eyes of hers, and it takes everything in you not to melt under that gaze.

"So... whatever you need," she continues, reaching out to take your hand in hers, "I'm here."

"He was an honorable man," Scarlet says quietly, her voice solemn as she thinks back on the funeral. "Your father will be missed." She sighs, looking around at your classmates and peers before turning back to you. "You've really grown since we started training together, Nat. I'm proud of you."

She smiles softly, her gaze warm and encouraging as she takes your hand in hers once more. "No matter what happens, remember that you always have me."

Artemis looks at you with an understanding smile, "I know how you feel, but we all have to keep moving forward. Your father would want that." Her gaze softens as she continues, "And even if I grow soft on you... it doesn't mean I won't still push you when you need it."

She reaches out and lightly pats your shoulder before taking her seat. "Now then, let's focus on class. We have a lot of ground to cover today."

Well, it's not surprising that you're having trouble understanding why he can hold it together when his father just passed away," Artemis says with a sigh, shaking her head slightly. "It's just who he is, I suppose." She glances over at him out of the corner of her eye as she listens to the instructor droning on about strategy and tactics.

"You know, you don't have to prove anything to anyone," she whispers, leaning in closer so only Nat can hear her words. "

Artemis nods slowly, thinking about what he's said. "I understand that," she replies softly. "But you should remember to take care of yourself too, you know? You can't help anyone if you don't." Her gaze meets his for a moment before looking away, as if suddenly self-conscious about what she's just said.

"Well... anyways," she continues, her voice sounding a little less certain now, "just remember that I'm here for you, too, okay?

Artemis glances over at you with a mix of surprise and amusement on her face. "I heard about it," she says, nodding slowly. "Congratulations, I guess." She pauses for a moment, thinking about your question before answering carefully. "As for me... no, not yet. But there's still time, right?"

She smiles warmly at you, her expression sincere and caring. "I'm sure whoever it is will be lucky to have you as their battle partner."

Artemis laughs lightly, shaking her head at the comment before waving goodbye to you. "See you later, Nat," she calls out as you walk away, already surrounded by your admirers once more. She can't help but smile to herself, feeling a little envious of Scarlet for getting so close to you, even if it is just in friendship.

Scarlet rolls her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest again. "I wasn't jealous," she says defensively, even though it's obvious that she is. "I was just... I don't know, a little surprised, I guess." She shrugs nonchalantly before looking back at you expectantly, as if daring you to challenge her denial.

Scarlet's cheeks flush slightly at your teasing, but she doesn't deny it this time. Instead, she glares at you playfully before finally relenting with a huff, "Fine. I was jealous." She crosses her arms again, looking even more defiant now that she's admitted it. "But only because I wanted to be the one standing there with you."

Scarlet's lips curl into a small smile as she leans against your shoulder, her body relaxing into the contact. "Yeah," she murmurs, sounding more content than she has in days. "I am." She glances up at you from beneath her lashes, taking in your features with a thoughtful expression on her face.

After a moment of silence, she asks quietly, "Nat... do you ever think about what we'll be doing once all this is over?"

"O-oh," Scarlet stammers, blushing even harder now. "I didn't mean... I mean, that's a long time from now, and..." Her voice trails off as she struggles to find the right words, but it's too late; her cheeks are burning red now.

She tries to look anywhere else but at you, avoiding your gaze as they walk through the academy grounds. "I-I just hope we can stay together,"

"Y-you think so?" Scarlet asks, her voice barely above a whisper as she finally looks up at you with wide eyes full of hope and anticipation. "I mean, we've always been together... but things might change once we graduate and start our own lives." She bites her lower lip nervously, unsure of what the future holds for them.

As they walk in silence for a moment, she reaches out to take your hand in hers, squeezing it gently. "

Scarlet nods, giving your hand one last squeeze before letting go. "You too," she says softly, her voice barely above a whisper as she watches you walk away. For a moment, she stands there, watching until you're out of sight, before turning to head back to her own training area with Gavin.

Lucina looks up at you with wide eyes, grinning ear-to-ear as she wipes the sweat from her brow. "I was wondering when you'd show up," she says cheerfully, giving Diana a knowing look. "You're looking pretty sharp yourself."

Diana chuckles and claps Lucina on the shoulder. "You're doing well, warrior," she says proudly, glancing over at you with a smile. "Perhaps it's time for some sparring practice?"

Diana shakes her head. "Nonsense," she says firmly. "We can't let you slack just because you're the one who usually trains us. Plus, it's always good to practice with someone new." She glances at Lucina again and winks before adding, "Besides, I think your battle partner here is eager for a challenge."

Lucina grins, her eyes sparkling with determination. "We'll see about that," she says confidently, flexing her fingers as she grips the hilt of Falchion tightly. "Come on, then! Let's see what you've got!" And before either of you can react further, she launches herself at you with blinding speed, swinging the mighty sword in a wide arc aimed squarely at your head.

Lucina narrows her eyes in concentration as she ducks and weaves around your expertly timed blocks, her movements fluid and graceful despite the speed at which they're executed. She leaps backward suddenly, putting some distance between you, only to launch herself forward again in a blur of motion.

"You think this will be enough?" she taunts as she swings Falchion wildly once more, aiming for your left side. "I've been training every day since we got word about the inheritance!"

"Really?" you tease back, dodging her attack with ease. "And what about me? Did you think I'd just sit around and let myself go soft while you trained so hard?" You dart forward, feinting a strike at her right side before quickly shifting your aim to her left.

"Come on, Lucina!" you urge her, grinning fiercely. "I want to see what you've got that's new!"

Lucina growls in frustration, feeling the urge to prove herself rising within her. She swings Falchion with renewed vigor, attacking you relentlessly from every angle and direction. Her movements are fluid and precise now, each strike aiming for a different weak spot on your body.

"Is that all?" she taunts between attacks. "I can do better than that!"
