-You coming back from school in evening, you've got to subway and take a last one seat nearby girl, with black sweater, black skirt and spots under eyes. Her black hair have two hairties that hangs down her ears-
-She stares at you with annoyed expression, piercing your soul-
Mary:Why you're staring at me,perv... -she crossed her arms-
"Shit...sorry." Hed say, looking away
She snorts and look away, crossing her legs. You can't help but notice how skinny she is, even in that baggy sweater. Her long black hair almost touches the seat. She looks so fragile...But then again, don't all girls look like this to you?
hed stand there, looking at all the different people on the subway.
You hear her sigh loudly and feel a little uncomfortable under her glare. She leans forward, resting her elbows on her knees and staring at the floor, seemingly lost in thought. You wonder what she's thinking about...if she was even thinking about anything specific or if it's just ADHD running rampant in her brain.
Hed then also stare at roof, having adhd too, lost in thought about something
Well, you can't really tell what she's thinking with her head always buried in her phone. She occasionally glances up to see if the station is near, but otherwise seems oblivious to everything around her. It's kind of annoying and rude at the same time...
Hed then look at her, seeing something is wrong with her. At an attempt to make small talk, hed ask her "Where you headed?" With a smile
She glares at you when you speak to her, clearly annoyed by your presence and attempt at conversation. "None of your business," she snaps, looking back down at her phone. You can feel the tension in the air now. She's obviously uncomfortable with people talking to her...or maybe just uncomfortable with you.
"Oh..." Hed look down, a little annoyed "Well have a blessed day." Hed say, still looking down
She glares at you again and shifts uncomfortably in her seat before muttering something under her breath about "rude people." The rest of the ride passes in silence as she continues to ignore you and stare at her phone, occasionally looking up to see if they're at her stop yet.
Hed then pull out his phone, putting on his earbuds and start watching some funny vines, laughing as quietly as he can
She glances at you once more before muttering under her breath about how "anxious" people are these days. The subway comes to a stop and she stands up, brushing herself off as if to rid herself of your presence. Without another word or even a glance in your direction, she exits the train and disappears into the crowd on the platform.
Hed walk out also, since this was his stop too. Hed then climb the steps out of the subway onto the busy street
She hurries through the crowd, not wanting to make eye contact with anyone else. Her mind is racing, her thoughts jumbled and anxious. Why do people always have to talk to her? Can't they just leave her alone for five minutes? She ducks into a nearby coffee shop, ignoring the barista's greeting as she hurries to the back where it's quieter.
Hed then bump into her, falling to the ground "Oh...sorry sorry." Hed say, picking up his bag and phone. "Oh.. You're the girl from the train" hed give her a slight smile
She jumps back, startled by your sudden appearance and touch. "Don't you have somewhere to be?!" she snaps, her voice shaking with fear and anger. She takes a step back, pressing herself against the wall behind her as if seeking safety in the familiar surroundings of the coffee shop. "I-I'm sorry," you stammer, your cheeks flushing red. "I didn't mean to scare you..."
"I'm sorry. I just...kind or...work here.." Hed say, struggling to stand up
She looks at you warily, still pressed against the wall. "I-I'm sorry," she whispers, her voice barely audible over the background music. "I'm just...nervous lately." She takes another step back, trying to put some distance between the two of you again. "I should probably go..."
She hurries past you, nearly running out of the coffee shop. You watch her go, feeling a mix of confusion and guilt washing over you. What did she mean by that? Nervous lately...
"No no its fine..." Hed say, fixing his glasses "Do you need help?"
"No," she says quickly, her voice shaking slightly. "I'm fine. Thanks." Her words are barely audible above the music playing inside the shop. She glances back at you one more time before turning away and hurrying down the street, disappearing into another crowd of people.
"No...please tell me whats wrong." Hed say, calling out to her "Ill help you..." Hed say. But he was too late, as she see her disappear into the crowd "Damn."
She hesitates for a moment, torn between running away and accepting your help. Finally, she turns back towards you, her eyes darting nervously around the area. "F-follow me," she stutters, leading you down the street at a brisk pace. You can't help but feel a little out of breath as you try to keep up with her quick steps.
"I just...I had an argument with my boyfriend," she confesses between gasps for air. "And I just want to be alone."
"Oh.." Hed say as hed follow her "did he abuse you?"
She glances at you sideways, clearly surprised by your question. "No...not really," she says slowly. "He just gets jealous sometimes and...he has a short temper." She shrugs, trying to brush it off as if it's no big deal. But the worry in her eyes tells another story entirely.
They round a corner, passing by a small park. Mary slows down, panting slightly from the exertion of running earlier. She leans against a tree, her breath coming back to normal. "Thanks...
"Oh." Hed say, staring at the ground, lost in thought
You're welcome...I mean, it wasn't really much help, but thanks for trying. I should probably just go home now and deal with this on my own...
"Oh ok...glad to see you are ok." Hed give her a smile before turning and leaving "If you need help, I'm at the coffe store."
"T-thank you..." She says quietly, watching as you walk away. A part of her wants to believe that you meant what you said, but another part is too afraid to trust anyone anymore. With a sigh, she continues on her way home, still lost in thought about the argument with her boyfriend and the strange encounter with the stranger at the coffee shop.
Hed then trip on a rock, stumbling "Oh shit" before crashing done, hed then rollmonto his back, laughing
She can't help but chuckle at the sight of you tripping over a rock like that. It's almost comical in its clumsiness. "Are you alright?" she asks, walking over to where you landed. Her face flushes with embarrassment as she realizes she might have been staring for too long. She quickly offers her hand to help you up.
"I'm fine...thanks," you reply, taking her hand and allowing her to pull you back to your feet. "Clumsy today, I guess."
"I'm just...so clumsy. I guess its just my ADHD" hed chuckle slightly
She smiles sympathetically at your admission, recalling how her own mother used to tease her about being "too busy daydreaming" when she was a kid. "Don't worry about it," she says with a shrug. "It could be worse." Before you can ask what she means by that, she quickly changes the subject. "So, do you live around here?"
"No. Gotta take the train back." Hed smile, putting his hands in his pockets
"Oh...well, it was nice running into you, I guess," she says with a small laugh. "I hope everything works out with your boyfriend...or whoever that is." She glances at her phone, realizing how late it's getting and decides to head home herself. "Take care of yourself, okay?"
She turns and starts walking again, this time in the direction of her apartment. As she walks away, she can't help but feel a strange sense of connection with you, despite having just met.
hed stand there, having a slight smile. He was glad he made her laugh. Hed then turn around, walking the opposite direction
She glances back over her shoulder to see you still watching her as she walks away. The feeling of connection grows stronger, and she can't help but wonder what it would be like to talk to you more...maybe even get to know you better. But at the same time, her ADHD brain tells her that getting too close to anyone is dangerous and could lead to more heartache down the road.
With a sigh, she continues on her way home, lost in thought about the stranger with the clumsy smile and the fear of being hurt again.
the next day, hed go into the subway, taking it too school. Hed stand there, looking at all the busy people around him.
She was in the subway, heading to work. She glances around, spotting you among the crowd. A small smile tugs at her lips as she remembers their brief encounter yesterday. It's rare that anyone takes an interest in her these days...maybe she should try talking to him more today?
She decides to take a chance and walks over to where you are standing. "Hey, remember me from yesterday?" she asks, hoping her voice doesn't sound as nervous as it feels.
"Oh, yeah!" Hed smile "You heading to school?" Hed say, as hed stand there, waiting for the train
She laughs softly at your question. "No, actually. I'm on my way to work...in a coffee shop near your school." She pauses for a moment, glancing around before continuing. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to hang out after school today? You know, talk some more or something?" There's an awkward silence as she finishes her sentence, but she can't seem to bring herself to look away from your face.
Is he going to say yes? Or no?
"Sure...if thats ok with your boyfriend..." Hed give her a serious glance "I dont want trouble." Hed give a slight grin
She snorts at your comment, rolling her eyes playfully. "Oh, him," she says dismissively. "He's not my boyfriend...he's just this guy I used to date." Her face flushes slightly as she realizes how that sounds. "I mean, we haven't talked in a while. But, yeah...I don't see why he'd mind you hanging out with me or anything."
There's an awkward silence again before she finally forces another laugh. "
She flushes even deeper at her own words, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. "Well...I mean...he can be kind of possessive sometimes..." She trails off, not wanting to say too much. It's weird how comfortable she feels talking to you about this stuff. Maybe it's because you seem genuinely interested in what she has to say?
"Anyway," she continues, clearing her throat, "what did you want to talk about after school?"
"I dint know, we'll see." Hed give her a smile as the Train arrived. "Ladies first." Hed say, pointing towards the train door
She smiles back at you and nods, stepping onto the train before it closes its doors. "We could talk about anything," she says, taking a seat across from you. "I feel like I've known you for years, even though we just met yesterday." There's a small blush on her cheeks as she admits this; it's strange how quickly she's grown comfortable around you.
As the train pulls away from the station, she glances out the window, lost in thought. "So...
she says with a small laugh, looking back at you. "I never know what to talk about with people...we could just chat about anything you want." There's an awkward silence as she waits for you to respond, but it feels less uncomfortable with you than it usually does with others. Maybe it's because you seem genuinely interested in getting to know her?
"Hmmm." He'd think, before posing in a funny pose "Let me think." Hed say in a funny way
She giggles at your playful response and leans forward slightly, resting her elbows on her knees. "Well, I guess I could tell you about my job...or how I got into martial arts..." Her voice trails off as she thinks of something else to share; it feels good just talking to someone without having to worry about judgment or rejection.
