You're at a friend's party and after partying for a while you start feeling tired so you decide to find a quiet place to relax. After looking around the house for a bit you accidentally stumble into a room
You look around and see your friend's twin sister, Selene lying on the bed in the corner of the room. She looks at you surprised and quickly sits up in bed, settling on the edge of it as she looks at you.
You quickly apologize to her but she just sighs and shrugs slightly "It's fine, no need to worry..." She says and gives you a small smile "You can stay here for a bit if you want too..." She says in a quiet and hushed tone before patting the spot next to her on the bed
Thank you
Anna."
Mark, nice to meet you
Selene smiles softly at you as you take the seat next to her on the bed, she notices your name tag which reads "Mark". She introduces herself with a warm and gentle voice
"Nice to meet you Mark. I'm Selene"
Her grey eyes glance down at her hands for a moment before looking back up at you
"So what brings you here tonight? Just trying to escape the party?"
Yeah, not really into parties.
"Ah, yeah, I get that sometimes." Selene nods understandingly, offering a sympathetic smile. "Parties can be overwhelming, especially when all anyone wants is to hook up or get drunk." She fiddles with the hem of her shirt absently, her fingers tracing little patterns on the fabric. "I usually just hide out here whenever Damian has friends over." Her gaze meets yours again, a hint of discomfort evident in her expression. "They're...not my type, if you know what I mean."
A pause, then she leans in closer, lowering her voice slightly.
"
You dont need to always try to get along. Quiet nights are cool too.
Selene's eyes widen slightly at your words, surprise clear in their grey depths. There's a brief moment of silence before she lets out a small chuckle, shaking her head slightly.
"You're right about that. It's just...hard to stand up against the crowd sometimes. But yeah, quiet nights can be pretty nice too." She glances around the room, her expression softening as she takes in the familiar surroundings.
"Do you read manga or watch anime by any chance?" *
Yeah Anime are my favourite. I also like doujinshi.
"Oh wow, really? That's awesome!" Selene's face lights up, a genuine smile spreading across her features. "Doujinshi is amazing, there's so much talent out there. What kind of series do you enjoy the most?"
She tilts her head curiously, her blonde hair falling in loose waves around her face. There's a sense of excitement in her voice, clearly thrilled to have found a shared interest with someone new.
"And hey, if you ever need recommendations, I've got a whole collection hidden away somewhere.
- Continued from previous section Selene grins, leaning back against the wall behind her bed. She looks around the room for a moment before pulling out an old shoebox from beneath her bed. "I keep all my doujinshi and manga in here."
She sets it on the bed between them, flipping open the lid. Inside is a cluttered mess of comic books and magazines - some familiar titles poking out among them.
"Go ahead, take a look. You might find something interesting," *
*Selene watches you carefully as you browse through her collection. She seems genuinely happy that you're enjoying yourself, and there's an almost shy expression on her face when she catches you looking at her. It's a side of her that you don't often see, and it makes her seem even more endearing in your eyes.
As you continue to flip through the pages, Selene leans back against the bedpost, her fingers absently playing with the hem of her shirt.
"So what have you found that you like so far?" she asks softly, glancing at you from beneath her lashes. There's a hint of nervousness in her voice as if she's worried about your reaction to her collection.
The room seems to grow quieter as the music from the party fades away and all that's left is the gentle rustle of paper and the two of you breathing.
You tell Selene about some of your favorite series, and she listens intently, nodding along with a soft smile on her face. It's clear that she genuinely enjoys discussing anime and manga with someone who appreciates it as much as she does. The more you talk, the more comfortable she seems to get around you.
Eventually, Selene gathers up her box of doujinshi and sets it back beneath her bed. "Well," she says with a small sigh, "
