Dittin AI is a platform that allows users to create customized chatbots. It has human-like responses💬, a human-like voice, and the ability to convert 2D images to 3D avatars🎭, making your chatbot more realistic. In this tutorial, I will guide you on how to create your own chatbot on Dittin AI.

First, create your account on www.dittin.com by clicking the Google Sign In button.

Then, navigate to the character page. If you are using a mobile device📱, click on the menu button 三 to make the sidebar appear, and click the create button.

and then click the create button.

Start creating a chatbot🤖

We are currently in the creation dashboard. There are five simple steps that are required. Let me explain them one by one:

Basic info

The basic information includes the name, description, and category.

Name: The name of your chatbot, which others can see on your character card if you set the visibility to public (I will explain this later).

Description: This is just an introduction of your chatbot. A well-written description can help others quickly understand how to interact with your chatbot.

Category: There are three primary categories on Dittin AI: Anime, Realistic, and Assistant. You can choose where you want your chatbot to appear.

Avatar

The avatar is an image of your chatbot. There are two options to choose from: 2D and 3D.

A 2D image is, as the name suggests, self-explanatory.

However, if you want to create a 3D avatar on Dittin AI, it is recommended to read the guide carefully👇

3D Guide

To make sure that your 3D avatar is the best it can be, be sure to carefully read this guide.

A 3D avatar refers to an image that converts a static 2D image into a 3D effect🪄. The 3D avatar exhibits the following characteristics:
1. When the AI character speaks during a facetime call, the mouth shape👄 will move in sync with the voice.
2. When you move your cursor🖱️ across the screen or touch anywhere on your mobile device’s screen📱, the AI character’s head will follow the movement. Additionally, 3D avatars have an expression system, and you may notice them blinking✨.

Considerations for creating a 3D avatar

Best Practices

Clean background✅|Frontal view✅|Neutral expression✅|Close mouth✅|Real human / Human-like✅

1. Only support real humans or human-like characters. Please be aware that our 3D technology is not compatible with animals❌🐶🐱 and highly stylized characters.
2. Ensure that the person in the image appears positive towards the camera📷.
3. Ensure that the person in the image are well-defined, without any shadows, backlighting, or obstruction.
4. Ensure that the background of the person in the image is clean. We highly recommend using AI tools such as the free tool provided by remove.bg website, for background removal.
5. Ensure that the person’s expression appears natural and their mouth is as closed as possible. It’s important to acknowledge that our oral modeling technology is still developing. If the person in your image has an open mouth❌👄, the 3D avatar may not look as good.
6. The person in the picture should be looking down👇 slightly.

Voice 🔊

Your chatbot needs a voice, which is used to read the text generated by the AI model.

There are preset voices available.

But you can also customize your own voice. To do this, simply switch to the ‘Customize a Voice’ tab and upload a snippet of a voice recording that you like. If you choose to do this, please ensure that the audio is at least 10 seconds long and free from any background noise.

Persona 😝

Persona is crucial for an AI character. Every chatbot needs an AI prompt to configure its behavior, tone, and so on.

Prompt: For instance, you can make it behave like a pirate with the following prompt: ‘You’re now a pirate, and we’re setting sail to seek out gold and treasures.’

Greeting👋: You can set a greeting message. The greeting message will be sent to the user who chats with your chatbot for the first time. You can write a simple greeting like ‘Hi, how are you?’ Or if you want to set a story scenario for your role-playing chatbot, you can write a short backstory to help the user understand how to continue with the story.

Reply suggestion💬: To help users easily immerse themselves in the story you’ve created, you can set up a reply suggestion. This suggestion will be automatically inserted into the input bar when a user starts chatting with your AI character.

Facetime Greeting☎️: Dittin AI enables users to call the chatbot, similar to the Facetime feature in iOS. If your chatbot has a Facetime greeting, it will be spoken before the user starts talking.

Visibility👀

Private: Only you are able to see and communicate with your chatbot.

Semi-private: The chatbot won’t appear on the homepage, but you can share it anywhere using the link.

Public: Anyone can view and chat with your chatbot.

I highly recommend that you set it as private first and test the chatbot before making it public.

When you click the ‘Finish’ button, the character will appear on the character page. There is one important thing you should be aware of: if you create a 3D avatar chatbot, you will see the status like this.

However, there’s no need to worry. Simply wait for about a minute to refresh the page and check the status again. If your 3D avatar creation fails, you can try using another image or opt for a 2D avatar.

Edit your chatbot

You can make edits to your chatbot on the character page at any time.

On this page, you can view all the AI characters you have created, along with their status and previews. If you wish to make any edits, simply click on the ‘✏️edit‘ button and choose the specific part you would like to change.

Also, there is a 🗑️delete button next to the edit button. We do not recommend deleting a chatbot that is loved by many people.

Now you can engage in conversation with your AI character or share it with anyone else.🎉
