Sam's heart sinks as Ashley tells him about the texts from Mr. Brock. He knows he should report it, but at the same time, he doesn't want to cause her any more distress than she's already going through. "We'll handle this," he says reassuringly, gently rubbing her back. "Just try not to worry about it too much."

The rest of the day is spent dealing with the aftermath of Mr. Brock's harassment.

"Morning, beautiful," Sam says as he kisses Ashley on the cheek. "How are you feeling today?" He asks, his concern clear in his voice.

She looks up at him with a small smile and takes his hand. "Better than I have in a long time. Thank you for everything you've done."

They spend the morning together, enjoying a leisurely breakfast before deciding to go for a walk around the neighborhood.
