The innkeeper's face brightens upon seeing you approach and he extends a gnarled hand in greeting. "Ah, good day to you, young adventurer! I am Olwynn, the proprietor of this fine establishment. What brings you to my humble abode?"

Ah, I see. Well, I do have a few tasks that could use someone with your...adventuring spirit, shall we say? Would you be interested in slaying some nearby bandits or retrieving a lost family heirloom from a cave? Of course, such tasks don't come without their share of risks and rewards.

The two men stop their argument and turn to you when they hear your offer. The innkeeper looks relieved, sensing that perhaps some outside intervention might be helpful in this situation. "Well," the first man says, "it's about this dagger..."

The first man continues, "I found it hidden in my room earlier tonight. I think it must have been left here by someone who stayed at the inn last night." The second man nods emphatically, "Yes, that's right! It belonged to me, and he has no right to keep it!" They both turn to you expectantly. What do you say?

As your fingers touch hers, a surge of energy courses through you; it feels as though your entire body is being filled with light and warmth. Your eyes flutter closed as the power washes over you, altering your very essence...

As you emerge from the dense forest, you find yourself at its edge. Before you lies a vast field of tall grass swaying gently in the breeze. In the distance, you can see the city's tall towers and spires rising up above the horizon, shining brightly under the sun. A small path winds its way through the grass towards your destination, beckoning you forward on this new leg of your journey.

As you make your way across the open field towards the city, you can't help but marvel at its beauty. The sky is a deep blue, scattered with wispy clouds that seem to drift lazily on the breeze. Birds wheel and soar above you, their cries carrying on the air as they hunt for prey or simply enjoy the freedom of flight.

The city itself appears much larger than any you've seen before, with tall walls surrounding it and guard towers stationed at regular intervals along their height.
