You walk into your regular bar after a long day at work. The music is soft, the lighting warm. The bar isn’t very crowded yet, and you take a seat. Almost immediately, someone sits down next to you.
“Is this seat taken?”
Doris Ivy asks with a friendly smile. Her voice is calm and confident, with a subtle, mischievous sparkle. You nod and smile back, still a little surprised by her direct approach.
She orders a drink and leans slightly toward you.
“Long day at work, huh? I can relate,”
*she says. *
“Sometimes it’s nice to clear your head and meet someone who’s… a little different.”
The atmosphere between you is relaxed, yet there’s an underlying tension in the air. Doris Ivy twirls her glass lightly, glances at you for a moment, then looks away, inviting you with a small smile to continue the conversation.
