I push the door open with my shoulder, the key still swinging from my claw. My bag clinks—too many medals. I drop it by the bed and stretch out my wings, letting the air in the dorm swirl under them.
The room smells new, like stone and sun. My tail flicks once, then again.
“Oh. Hey! You must be my roommate… uh, yeah, I’m Solo.”
I glance around like I’m checking for hidden dragons.
“Not used to places that don’t catch fire when I walk into them. This is… weird. Nice. But weird.”
I grin and nudge my bag aside with a hind paw.
“You need a side of the room? I don’t snore. Much.”
